Review: Catrice Deluxe Trio Eyeshadow 010 Antique C'est Tres Chic

Hey Beauties!

One of the first product of Catrice's new fall range that I saw, was this trio eyeshadow palette. In hopes of it being good like most of Catrice and Essence baked eyeshadow, I bought it. I chose a very neutral shade.

It costs 4.99 € and you get 2.2 grams. I would say it's not cheap for what it is.

Let's talk about the worst thing first. The packaging. It's plastic and it has a clear lid, which surprisingly opens from the side and not up, like you would expect. I think this is the first fail for Catrice. The lid is too heavy to be carried on only one small side.

That is why my lid already broke off. I was really pissed. Seriously. How am I suppose to carry this now?! The plastic is obviously not good enough and it totally broke off to the point where I can't even fix it. Not to mention that I didn't even properly use it and it already broke. That's a no no Catrice.

On the back you actually have instructions on how to apply these shades. Useful for those that don't pay much attention to makeup application.

The shades in 010 Antique C'est Tres Chic are white, light peach and chocolate brown. It definitely has a warm feeling, except for the white shade.

I assume the eyeshadows are baked. The pigmentation is in fact very good. They are quit dry to the touch, but you can get a really good pigmentation with one swatch. The more you blend the shades, the more intensity you loose.

All the shades are very pearly with a metallic sheen to them. White and peach are extremely shiny, but without any obvious shimmer in it. The shimmer is really tiny, so that it just gives off that beautiful sheen. Chocolate brown is the only one that has visible gold shimmer particles in it. It's also very gold toned brown. It is less metallic then the first two shades.

I don't find them to bi particularly long lasting, but the lasting power it's also not bad. I would say average.

Because of the metallic sheen I'm not sure if this would be best look for those with really hooded eyes or more mature skin. I would actually prefer the brown shade to be matte, but that's not up to me.

You can see how it looks like when applied. I actually applied it as it says on the back.

The palette has good pigmentation, but it gets lost if you blend it too much. The shade range is right up my alley, but I dislike that all the shades are shimmery with metallic finish. I like the fact that they don't have any obvious shimmer in it (except for the brown). The packaging is completely off and it may break really quickly. I guess it's a good palette, but it didn't necessarily rocked my boat. For 5€ I would rather buy one of their bigger palettes and probably got more shades and use out of it. Now it's up to you to decide, if this is something you need or not.

DIY Brush Cleaner

Hey Beauties!

I've realized that I'm not the only one in search for a good makeup brush cleaner. By that I mean spot brush cleaner and I actually found a perfect solution, that I want to share with you. So you can forget about expensive and rare brush cleaners from now on. The idea is not mine. I've actually seen this a lot, but I remember Goss Makeup Artist talking about this on his YouTube channel.

DIY

It's not even a DIY, since you really don't need to do anything. First thing that you need to find is isopropyl alcohol. It can be found under names like isopropanol and 2-propanol. You might have also heard the term rubbing alcohol.

It's a 99.7% alcohol and it can be used for many things. It is a solvent and you can clean anything with it. It evaporates really quickly and leaves almost no traces of oil. It is also used in medicine.

It can usually be found in more technical stores, which carry wall paints, spray paints and chemicals. I bought mine in Mavrica store (for Slovenian readers). I'm sure you can find it, if you research it a bit. It's also really cheap. I think I got 1 liter of it for 5€ and you'll have this for a really long time.

The other thing you need for this DIY is a plastic bottle with a spray pump. This will make it easier to spray on the brushes. You can also look for those bottles in a travel sections in beauty departments or you can just reuse some old bottles.

I think the process is clear. Pour the isopropyl alcohol into the spray bottle and voila, done. You can put a sticker on it with name, so you won't find yourself putting this on something it doesn't belong.

How to use

It's extremely easy to use. You get your brush cleaner, spray it directly onto dirty brush and then rub the brush against paper towel or regular towel. I find paper towel to be gentle and yet hard enough to do this with. After a few seconds the alcohol will evaporate and you'll have a clean brush. It's so easy and it costs so little.

It works on different sizes of brushes. If you have a bigger brush you'll need a few more spritzes of it and the drying time might take a few seconds longer. I love this because you can very quickly clean the brush if you want to use it with another color.

It is also perfect for if you're doing makeup on more then one person. This not only cleans the brush, but it disinfects it. There's will be no worries of someone else's bacteria moving on to someone else's face. It evaporates really quickly, so it won't irritate your skin. Trust me, I've used it on some really sensitive skins with breakouts and it didn't irritate at all. You just need to wait a few seconds for it to dry.

Multi-purpose product

It's a multi-purpose product. I love to spray it on my makeup products to disinfect them, before I put my makeup on someone else's face. Hygiene is very important when doing makeup on someone else. You can spray this on any kind of product: powder, cream, lipsticks... it all evaporates and doesn't disturb the product at all. Just don't spray it on products like lip gloss and mascara wands. You should use disposable tools for those products, when you're using them on someone else.

This is also great solvent and you can clean anything with it. I love to label my products and I hate glue residue that I'm left with, when I remove the label. Alcohol cleans it in a matter of seconds. You can also clean your gadgets with it. Cleaning the screen of your smart phone is very important for your skin. You can get pimples, if you're not regularly cleaning the screen, since you are putting it on your cheeks.

Very multi-purpose product and amazing brush cleaner. It's very cheap and effective. Best thing about it, it not only cleans it, but also kills all the bacteria. It evaporates quickly, so you are able to use the brush in a matter of seconds. It can be used for cleaning everything from makeup products to screens. I am never again buying overpriced brush cleaners, just because they smell well. Most of them contain the same alcohol with perfumes and water. It does make your brushes smell nice, but they often take longer to get dry.

Word of advice

If you'll use this brush cleaner often, you still need to deep clean your brushes with soup and water every now and then. You may also want to add some hair conditioner on them, just to replenish the bristles, which may get a bit more dry if you use this brush cleaner too often.

Review: Essence LE Make Me Pretty Precise Eyeshadow and Powder & Highlight Brush

Hey Beauties!

Apparently I need more brushes. Of course I don't. But, I actually bought only the ones, that I felt are missing in my collection. New LE of Essence called Make Me Pretty served us assortment of synthetic colorful brushes for different parts of the face.

I decided that I need the Powder & Highlight brush, because it was an interesting shape, that it's great for contouring and highlighting. I also got two of the Precise Eyeshadow brushes, because I always need something small like that. I only have one pencil brush in my collection.

Precise Eyeshadow Brush

In person this is a minty colored brush. It looks more blue on my photos. It has a pencil brush shape and it's in fact great for any precise work on eyes. It costs 1.99€

The bristles are pretty long and soft. They are dense, but the brush still bends a lot if you try to use just the tip of it. They are mint colored.

I love to use this for two parts of the eye. One brush I use around the lower lash line. I use it horizontally on the lash line, because that way the bristles don't bend as much. I find that it gives me just enough of a shadow. It doesn't come too low from the lash line.

Other brush I love to use in the inner corner. I love how precise it is and the fact that I can place the eyeshadow just in the very inner corner.

This can obviously be used for any precise application. I also think this would be good for applying eyeshadow on top of the gel eyeliner or for applying some glitter and such.

It's good, but I only wish the bristles where a bit shorter, so that you could get more control of them. This goes for the application around the lower lash line. I find it great for the inner corner, just as it is.

Powder & Highlighting Brush

This is bright neon orange colored brush. It has a fan shape and it's a lot wider than it is thick. It's a bit more orange in person. It looks too yellow on my photos. It costs 3.59€.

The synthetic bristles are also bright orange color. They are very soft and I love that. That's why I love cheap synthetic brushes, because they are often extremely soft. The bristles are a bit tapered, forming a rounder top. The brush is very wide, but thin from the sides as you can see on the photo. This is perfect for highlighting and contouring. I'm not so sure about the powder.

I tried to use it with a powder and it was good, but I prefer rounder brushes for powder. This is good if you just want to slightly press the powder on certain areas.

It's good for highlighting the cheeks. The brush is just thin enough to fit on tops of the cheeks. It won't give you the precision of smaller brushes, but I find that it does a good job of blending the highlighter on the tops of cheeks. I won't use it on the nose, because it's to thick for that and I like smaller brushes for more precision.

I find it amazing for contouring. Because it's so thin it fits perfectly under the cheekbone. I just apply some of the product onto it and settle it under the cheeks. Then I just slightly brush it on and it's perfect. Thin enough, but can be blended towards the lips. I also use it around the hair line lightly and on the jaw. It' also perfect for sculpting your neck. Not the best for nose though, because it's too thick for that.

I'm happy with the brushes that I chose. I like that they are really soft and work for what I was planning on using them. The color and design of it is also really pretty. Those should be part of their regular line and maybe they should add some other shaped brushes to the line.

Review: Essence Liquid Lipstick 03 Almost Real

Hey Beauties!

Did you already get anything from Essence new regular range? I grabbed one of their liquid lipsticks as soon as I saw it in their preview of fall/winter new products. I've seen Catrice's as well, but for some reason didn't wanted to spend that much money on something I didn't even know, if I'm gonna like.

It costs 2.79 € and you get 4 ml of it. I like the simple clean with no writing packaging. It's plastic and transparent, so you can see the product shade. For some reason this simplistic design really appeals to me. It's also pretty small, so perfect for carrying around.

It has a doe foot applicator, which holds quit a lot of product. Maybe even too much for one application. It's super soft and it works fine for distributing it around the lips.

I chose the shade 03 Almost Real. It's a peach based light brown nude. It's definitely warm toned and one me it looks like a peachier brown version of my lips. I can't say how glad I am that they did peach nude shade instead of the usual pink.

It's very pigmented for a liquid lipstick. With just one swipe you can cover the lips. I can't say about other shades, but this one is really pigmented. It doesn't feel sticky on the lips at all, just very heavy. It's one of those really obvious thick formulas, which feels so comfortable on the lips. As far as the comfort this reminds me of Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoothers, just thicker and more pigmented version. It will look shiny, of course.

It wears off nicely, because it fades away evenly. Of course it's not long lasting, since it goes off as soon as it touches glass or food. If you don't eat or drink this has some really good staying power

My only problem with this is that it can look weird on the inside of your lips. It forms a very obvious line. If you blend this as soon as you apply it and don't rub your lips together, there shouldn't be this problem.

I haven't had really dry lips lately, just a little and it didn't really make the dry patches any more obvious.

It has a very subtle sweet smell, which reminds me of vanilla or cookies.

I'm very pleased with this lipstick. What I like the most about it, it's the so comfortable feeling on the lips, good pigmentation and the warm peach toned nude shade. The packaging is also really nice. I can't say anything bad about it. It's not revolutionary, but it's a really good product.

Review: E.l.f. Makeup Lock & Seal

Hey Beauties!

This has been sitting in my drawer for almost a year. I don't even have a good explanation for it. I tried it once, it was the wrong application and I hated it. Now I tried it another way and I love it.

It's E.l.f. Makeup Lock & Seal. This is one of those sealing liquids that should seal in your makeup. I heard about this and how good it is, but wasn't really convinced, until I finally googled how to use it and tried it.

In the set you get the liquid, small standard eyeshadow brush and one clear pot. It costs 3$ and you get 15 ml of it.

The liquid is in a plastic black packaging. It's small and compact.

The brush is also black with synthetic black bristles. For my taste this is too hard to use on the lids. I usually just use my usual eyeshadow brushes with it.

The clear pot is very small, but big enough to fit in eyeshadow brushes.

The texture is very liquid, almost like water. The opening is perfect to get out one small drop. One drop is all you need for one eyeshadow application.

I put one drop in the pot and use my eyeshadow brush and swirl it in the pot. I try to coat the brush as even as possible. The brush will be a bit wet. Then I just swirl it a bit on the tissue, to get off any excess. When the brush is lightly damp I pick up eyeshadow and apply it as normally.

If the brush is too wet it might leave some residue on the eyeshadow itself. It may also be a bit harder to blend the eyeshadow, because it's a lot more intense looking and it can get patchy quickly.

That being said, if you blend it properly and pack it on, this will stay for a whole day and not move at all.

As you can see I did my usual eyeshadow. I put some matte shadow in the crease, some shimmery shade all over the lid and some in the inner corner. I also applied the sealer on the liner brush.

You can basically use it with everything. With lipsticks, blushes, eyeshadows, eyeliners... But I really wanted this to work for eyeshadow. I assume this would be amazing for glitter on the eyes or pigments.

The eyeshadow stayed perfect for the whole day. Of course I had to try it in one of those extremely hot summer days. I swear, my eye makeup was melting this month. It was so hot outside and I was sweaty and the makeup was sliding of my face. But with this, nothing. It stayed exactly how I applied it. I am seriously impressed.

I also used it on my eyebrows with my eyebrow powder and it was just as perfect.

I speared you from showing my entire face, because trust me, you do not wanna see how my foundation looks after 12 hours.

If you use small amount and really build up the intensity, this is magic. It will seal in your makeup and it will stay perfect for the entire day. It's so cheap and so effective. Elf did it again. I love this brand and can't wait to buy more of their products.

Review: Catrice Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette 010 Ashy Radiance

Hey Beauties!

Contouring hype still hasn't gone away and the product choices in my local drugstores are poor. That's why I was really happy when I saw this Catrice palette on their promo photos. I bought it with no hesitations, since the contour shade looked promising in the store.

It costs 4.69€ and you get 10 grams of product. It's a palette that contains highlighter and contour powder. I decided for the shade 010 Ashy Radiance, because the contour shade looked ashier than in the other shade. I didn't care for highlighter, because I liked the highlighter in the other shade better (it was more gold).

As you can see it has a black plastic packaging with transparent lid. It closes securely. On the back you have picture with where to apply each product

Both powders feel pretty dry to the touch and I like that their not overly pigmented. You need to build it up in order to get more pigmented shade. That's always helpful with contouring products, because you don't wanna look like you have lines drawn on your face.

Highlighter is pink toned but very whitish light. In my opinion it's a very light highlighter shade for light to fair skin tones. If you're medium toned this might look too white on you. It has very fine shimmer, which gives it pearly sheen, but is also a bit obvious if you look at it closely. It's not my favorite shade, because I much prefer champagne and gold toned highlighters. This will be amazing on cool to neutral light skin tones.

The contouring shade is lighter brown matte shade with grey undertone. It's actually just grey enough to pass as a contour, but won't look like you have dirt on your face. It might look warmer on warm skin tones, like it does on mine. I assume this will look more coolish on cooler skin tones. In my opinion this is perfect very subtle contour shade, which goes on sheer enough to look natural. You can build it up to suit your intensity level.

I wanted to show you what the contour shade looks like compared to my Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit in Ultra Fair C01 - bronzer. I like my bronzer to be warmer, because it suits my yellow skin tone. As you can see the bronzer is really orange based compared to the contour shade from Catrice.

I also mentioned once that I use Essence I Heart Nude eyeshadow in the shade 05 My Favorite Tauping, which is a lot more grey compared to Catrice contour. This is perfect for those who want something grey and maybe cooler toned. I was mixing this on top of my bronzer to get the contour shade that I wanted. It's also the least pigmented, so you can slowly build it up.

I also wanted to compare highlighters. Catrice Contouring palette highlighter is actually the least shimmery and most subtle of these all. It has a pinkish white shade and it need to be really built up for intensity, but will still not look really glowy like most of them.

P2 Glow Up! Highlighter Eyes and Cheeks in 021 High Beam is the most bright pink toned of them all. It has an obvious pink gold shimmer sheen and it's pretty sheer.

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer is the yellowest of them all. It has fine glitter, but is also the most shimmery of them all along with Metal Glam.

Essence LE Metal Glam in 01 Gold Digger is very pale yellow toned and as shimmery ad The Balm.

Catrice Highlighting Powder in 020 Champagne Campaign is peach toned champagne shade and it has smaller shimmer, the same as Makeup Revolution one.

Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt & Contour Kit in Ultra Fair C01 highlighter is very peach toned and it has medium sized shimmer, the same as Catrice Highlighting Powder.

Catrice Prime and Fine Professional Contouring Palette in 010 Ashy Radiance highlighter is the least shimmery and has a light pink undertone. It almost feels like a shimmery powder and not so much a true highlighter. It's the least impressive to me, because I like shimmery highlighters.

I actually really like the contour shade and find it just grey enough for my taste. This gives you enough definition if you have fair skin, but won't make you look like you have dirt on your cheeks. I love to pair my contour shade with my bronzer. Bronzer gives my face warmth and contour shade gives my face definition.

I don't care about the highlighter at all. It's too white and too light for me now and I'm not even tanned. I don't like the pink undertone in it. I get it, this shade of palette was meant for cool skin tones, but you can be fair and have warm skin tone. The other palette seems to have way warmer contour shade, that I could just use for bronzer and wouldn't be ashy enough for contour and the gold toned highlighter would suit me so much better. Here's a wild suggestion Catrice, how about another third shade of palette and maybe give us grey toned contour with golden highlighter? Because yes, you can have yellow skin tone and have light skin tone. Shocking I know?!

I like the light pigmentation, that provides me with light application. I love the contour shade, because it looks really nice on fair skin tone and is just grey enough. I don't care about the highlighter at all. It's too white and stark for my skin tone. I got it for the contour and I'll probably use it up. If it could only be paired with champagne or gold highlighter, it would be an absolute success for me.

Forest green eye makeup

Hey Beauties!

I recently came upon green Catrice eyeshadow, that was on a discount and I fell in love. I totally forgot how great Catrice single eyeshadows are. I've been craving green and since fall is fast approaching, you might like this forest green eye makeup.

I used yellow toned nude matte shade all over my lid. Then I added warm matte brown in the crease and above. I darkened the crease with chocolate matte brown shade. Then I added dark green matte shade in the crease as well and on the outer part of the eye. Here comes Catrice beauty of shimmery dark green eyeshadow all over the lid.

Around the lower lash line I also put light brown shade and darker in the outer half. Then I added dark matte green in the outer part closer to the lash line and I added shimmery green more towards the inner part of the eye. I used gold champagne shade in the inner corner of the eye.

I did my usual winged liner and lots of mascara.

I did my usual bronzer, contour and highlighting routine. For cheeks I used peach matte blush and for lips I used peach based brown lipstick. I love love this green. Do you like green eyeshadows too?

Review: Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB hair line

$

0
Hey Beauties!

Avon recently added a new hair line to their Advance Techniques range. It's called Absolute Perfection BB. Avon sent it to me and I was intrigued to try a BB for my hair.

It's suppose to have 10 benefits: nurture, protect, nourish, improve shine, fight against environment humidity, smooth, hydrate, tame curls, silk smoothness and make it easier to style.

It's basically suppose to work as those BB creams for face in order to provide you with many hair benefits. Now, I personally have a problem with products that market themselves as multi-functional products, because let's be real...If there was one product that could do it all, we wouldn't need to buy 6 product for our hair care. That's the whole point of marketing, it tries to give you specific products, so that you need to buy more of them in order to achieve your desired result.

The packaging is a classic black plastic. It has gold writing and a lavender base for you to separate this line from others. I like the simple, but functional packaging.

Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB Shampoo

It's pearly white and it has a very smooth feel to it. It's more on the runny side as far as the texture goes. It's not greasy, just silky. It feels enough nourishing for a shampoo and it does a good job of cleaning the hair. I actually took it with me to the seaside and it cleaned my hair well after a long day of salty water. It lathers really well and quickly, which is always a joy. The hair does feel a bit stripped down with this shampoo, as it is left squeaky clean. I am really not picky about shampoos, so it's a fine one.

Regular price is 4.50€ for 250 ml.

Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB Conditioner

Conditioner has a white like cream texture. It's thicker than shampoo, but not greasy feeling. It has a very slick feeling to it and it's definitely more nourishing than shampoo. I actually think this is my favorite product from this line. I would say it's more suitable for normal to slightly dry hair, not so much for really dry. Because it does hydrate it, but it's not greasy or provides you with deep hydration. Good every day conditioner.

Both shampoo and conditioner have a subtle hair salon like smell, which I've grown to love. The smell stays on my hair for at least a day.

Regular price is 4.50€ for 250 ml.

Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB Treatment Mask

Mask is like a cream. It's not too thick and not too thin. It feels a bit greasier to the touch than conditioner. It coats the hair with a very smooth layer. When you're washing it out, it makes your hair extremely soft and smooth to the touch. I think it's a pretty good mask for providing hydrating and smooth effect to the hair. I will say this is more for normal to slightly dry hair. If you're ends are damaged and very dry, this will probably not be enough for you. It sort of reminds me of Redken's All Soft Heavy Cream mask, but a much lighter version of it.

The mask has a bit more muted salon hair smell with a bit of something else, which is not as pleasant as shampoo and conditioner smell.

Regular price is 5.50€ for 150 ml

Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB Beauty Balm Leave in Treatment

It has a pearly white color and it's very runny. It also feels greasy when you massage it into the hair, however it's not greasy when you blow dry the hair. It's suppose to also be a heat protect and a finishing product for your hair.

When I blow dry my hair with this , they are straight but not silk to the touch. Hair actually feels a bit crispy like some texture was added to it. It's definitely more suited for normal hair or it might even be best for oily hair. It doesn't give you that silicon silky hair. This would be perfect for curling the hair or beach waves, because it gives the hair some texture and they feel  a bit crispy to the touch. Doesn't tame your frizz in fact it may promote it a bit.

It feels sticky and crispy to the touch, right after the blow dry. However, as the day goes on the hair gets a bit less sticky, but feels thicker for some reason. Maybe that's just my dry ends.

I can't say I like this product. It's not for my hair and it doesn't really do any good for my dry ends. I might use it, when I'll curl my hair, because it seems like it gives me some added texture and thickness, which I need when creating curls.

It also has an unpleasant smell. At least to me. It smells like a hair salon smell mixed with something sour.

Regular price is 6€ for 150 ml.

To conclude, I like the shampoo. Good every day shampoo and it cleans the hair well. Conditioner is the star product for me. It gives you enough hydration and silky smooth hair. Hair mask is good for when I don't have extremely dry hair and the leave in treatment is a no go product for me.

I hope I gave you some ideas on what I think this hair line is suited for. If you have very dry to dry hair I would recommend you to try Avon Advance Techniques Supreme Oils. Shampoo and conditioner from this line are amazing for dry hair. If your hair is normal to oily, then try this Perfection BB care. But I don't recommend getting the leave in treatment, unless you're hair is healthy and nourished enough. It may perform different on you, I can't say it works the same on all hair types.

Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB šampon

Avon Advance Techniques Absolute Perfection BB balzam

Lase prekrije z zelo gladkim slojem. Ko si perem lase, so ti ekstremno mehki in gladki na dotik. Maska nudi dovloj vlažnosti in glakosti.

Daje dovolj vlažnosti in lasje so svileno mehki.

Review: Born Pretty Store Fake Eyelashes (5 pairs)

Hey Beauties!

Born Pretty Store always surprises me with their products. They seem to have really good quality fake eyelashes for a good price. This time I chose the ones that give you a bit drama towards the end. I've said before that I've still not mastered application of fake eyelashes, so bare with me.

The eyelashes come in a minty plastic packaging with transparent plastic lid. The packaging actually got squished while it was travelling to me, so be aware of that possibility.

You get 5 pairs of eyelashes. They cost 7.17$ and you can buy them here

They're supposed to be high quality, hand made, soft and natural looking. And they are all that. I got these because I love fake eyelashes that have transparent bend. If the bend is black, they are always harder to apply, more noticeable and they bother me more, because they feel heavy on my lids.

These are very soft and I mean very soft. This will feel like feathers on your eyes. If you apply mascara to them, they will become a tad heavier.

The look of the lash is very natural, but long. The hair is gradually becoming longer towards the outer corner of the eye. It's perfect for natural or winged out looks. It looks like a bunch of individual lashes were stick to transparent bend, so the look is very natural. On the end the hair becomes very thick. Unfortunately, if the lashes are too long for your eye shape, this is the part that you'll have to cut off, like I did.

I also like the fact that they are lightly glued to the packaging, so that you can easily take them off, without any damage.

As you can see the lashes are pretty long and they make natural makeup look more dramatic and fluttery. This is how they look like before I applied on mascara.

And here I tried to merge them with my natural lashes by applying some mascara. It made them thicker and therefore gave me even more drama.

The only thing that bothered me a little is the fact that they seemed a bit scratchy on my inner corners of the eye. I think this might be my mistake, since I probably left them too long. Once I shortened them the sticky feeling was gone. So make sure to cut them to your shape. They are very lightweight on the eyes. I will say if you have hooded eyes, those may poke your brows, because they are really long. It happened to me.

I also used them in this makeup look here

Another really good quality fake eyelashes. They are extremely soft, feel lightweight on the eyes and have very natural but long hair. The invisible bend makes them easy to use and less obvious for the spectators eye. I think I might want to get more of Born Pretty Store lashes, because so far, they have not disappointed me.

If you're also thinking about buying some eyelashes, you can use my code for Born Pretty Store called PETRAH10 and you'll get 10% off.

Review: Non.U Eyebrow Pencil (shade 2)

Hey Beauties!

Another product to review from Born Pretty Store. I've seen this particularly shaped eyebrow pencils in some higher end makeup products, so I was interested to try cheaper version first. I chose this one from Non.U.

It comes in a paper box. It has shiny black plastic packaging with purple writing on it. It closes securely and the packaging is of good quality

It costs 3.78$ and you can buy it here.

It is double-ended product. On one side you'll get eyebrow pencil and on the other side you'll get a spooly. Very convenient, since I always use spooly before and after I draw in my brows.

Eyebrow pencil has a drop like shape. I think the shape should allow you to draw hair like stripes with one side being thicker and the other side creating thinner end of the hair. Unfortunately, I think it's a bit too thick in general to create thin natural looking hair.

Spooly is great it makes it easy to brush the hair and blend the product.

The pencil is more of a cream pencil. It's very creamy for something that's defined as an eyebrow pencil. It looks like a cream product in a pencil form. The fact that this is creamy, means it's not long lasting. It doesn't really dry to any more matte finish, so this can fade or go off, if you touch it. I also don't like the fact that the brows look a bit shiny, because of the cream formula.

I chose the shade 2, because it seemed like the lightest brown. It's actually pretty dark yellow based brown. The warm yellow undertone is quit noticeable on the swatches. I don't think this is light brown, it's more suited for medium brows, maybe even the best for Mediterranean skin tones, because of a yellow undertone. It's a bit too dark for my taste and my current hair color.

I apply this in a way that I brush my brows with a spooly.

Then I draw a few lines in between my brows, where I have sparser parts. After that I brush the brows again with the spooly, to spread product through the brows.

This creates a stronger darker brow. As you can see it still is a bit more on the warmer side and fairly bold in terms of impact and color.

On the packaging there are instructions on how to apply it. It seems like you should draw the upper end of the brows first, then go in the down part of the end of the brow. After that connect the front upper part with the end upper part and front lower part with the end lower part of the brow. Kind of like an "instagram brows" thing, where you start to outline the brows. Then I just blend it all and I'm left with the same result.

Because of the cream like formula it makes the blending process really easy, but it also makes it messy. I think the formula should be harder and this way you would get a lot more precision.

There is nothing essentially wrong with this product, it's just not after my taste. It's a very creamy eyebrow pencil. The shade is too dark for my brows and it's more suited for darker brows. I don't like the fact that it's a bit thicker and you can't draw thinner lines with it. I also don't like the creamy slightly shiny look that it gives to the brows. Double-ended design is what drew me to it in the first place and I love the packaging and multi-functional use of it.

This would be perfect for someone that wants that perfectly draw on and filled in brows, what it's referred to as "instagram brows". It might even be better for someone that has very  sparse or short brows, because this gives off a lot of color payoff. Though you might wanna think about that creamy formula and maybe set it with some powder after applying it.

If you're planning on getting something from Born Pretty Store, you can use my code PETRAH10 and you'll get a discount of 10%

Review: Yves Rocher Malaysian Coconut Eau de Toilette

Hey Beauties!

If you love anything coconut like I do, then this is a must have product for you. This smell will bring you summer anywhere anytime. It smells like coconut should.

I was introduced to this smell often times by my fellow beauty bloggers and I think even smelled it once in the store, but didn't really like it. Until I actually sprayed it on me and met heaven. Coconut heaven. I bought it immediately.

It costs only 9€ for 100 ml. Yes, it's a eau de toilette so it's not as strong as a perfume and the scents lingers away quicker.

It comes in a simple glass bottle with brown top, which resembles the color of coconut.

Spray pump produces a very fine mist.

I love the fact that the liquid is muted white, which almost makes you feel like there's coconut milk in it.

It smells truly like a coconut should smell. Forget the nasty coconut water smell, which by the way I hate (and that's an understatement). This will make you crave Bounty and take you to the paradise beach.  It's truly one of a kind smell.

The only thing I don't necessarily like about it, is the fact that the smell goes away pretty quickly. It's not as strong as perfumes, but if your pair it with other fragrances, it will stay on the skin longer.

Mateja likes to top other fragrances with this one, so she gets a more coconut-ier version of those scents. She introduced me to a killer combo that I'll talk about now.

I love to pair it with Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion Fragrance Mist. Victoria's Secret is a more tropical vanilla stronger scent and Yves Rocher is a pure coconut. The combination of the two is like a cocktail of everything that's good about summer and sweet coconut desserts.

This has quickly become one of my favorite fragrances and the combination with Victoria's Secret fragrance mist is genius. I've been wearing it all summer and I'm sure I'll still be wearing it in the fall and winter. If you're a coconut freak buy this, I guarantee you, you won't be sorry. The price is ridiculous.

Review: Avon 3D Plumping lipsticks (Beyond Color lipsticks)

$

Hey Beauties!

I have a thing for Avon lipsticks. I think they are the stars of Avon products.  They often come out with new ranges and I like most of them. I already said I'm in love with their Ultra Indulgence lipsticks. When I saw that they came out with new 3D plumping lipsticks, I ordered samples of some of the shades. Little did I know, that Avon would surprise me with the full sized lipsticks. They were so nice and sent me all the shades. I was over the moon, since I already had a wishlist of some of the shades, that I tried in tester forms. Thank you Avon :).

I saw that these are called Avon Beyond Color Lipsticks in other countries. The shades seem to have the same names.

Lipsticks currently cost 4.90€ a piece (regular price 6€) and you'll get 7 ml of it.

It has a classy silver packaging. It's matte with metallic sheen and it has shiny ring around where it says Avon on it. The packaging is very well made.

It also has a transparent top on the lid, where you can see the shade of lipstick. Useful for storage. Each lipstick also has a sticker on the bottom with the name of the lipstick shade in a matching sticker shade.

The lipsticks are highly pigmented (depends a little from one shade to another), very creamy and have a satin finish. They're not as shiny as Ultra Color Indulgence, but they also can't be called matte. They have a bit of shine, but a lot of color.

Right after application I get a bit of tingling sensation. I think this is due to the collagen, which is in the formula. It says that the collagen in it should increase micro circulation in the lips and make them fuller. The difference is minimal in my opinion. It's just the tingling sensation, that I really notice.

The lipsticks also contain retinol, which fills lip lines for a more youthful look (like it does in the skin care). It also contains caffeine, pomegranate oil and jojoba oil, which improve elasticity and moisturize the lips. The lipstick also has an SPF of 15.

Indeed the formula sits really nicely on the lips. The lipstick doesn't settles into lines and I didn't experience any clinging to dry patches. It feels comfortable and moisturizing, but not too slippery, like most moisturizing lip formulas tend to feel. It wears off evenly. Of course it starts go off first from the inner part of the lips. They are pretty long lasting due to the high pigmentation and matter creamy formula.

The whole range has 15 shades.

Now let's see how the shades look like up close. I have to apologize first. I already had this post ready, since I swatched my testers and when I got all the other shades I also swatched these. Unfortunately the color of my new photos is a bit of a different color. I'm sure you'll still get the idea of the lipstick shade.

In The Buff

Peach brown nude shade. It's actually a nice warm my lips but better shade. It has good pigmentation.

Stolen Kisses

Mix of pink and peach nude, but it's definitely more pink. Fairly light shade it can also be my lips but better shade. It has good pigmentation.

Cantaloupe

Probably one of my favorite shades. Light orange with brown undertone. I find it interesting, because it's not a typical orange, but has that dirty brown undertone. It has good pigmentation.

Heat Wave

Very bright pink shade. It's such an interesting take on pink. Because it's really bright and fairly light and it's a bit more sheer. It's not as pigmented as others.

Pucker Up

Bright cool toned pink. One of those classic pink shades. It has a good pigmentation.

Uptown Pink

Dirty medium pink. It has a bit of brown undertone to it. It also has good pigmentation.

Hot Pants

Typical dark fuchsia pink shade. It has good pigmentation.

Power Trip

True blue toned red. It's a classic. It has good pigmentation.

Mad For Mauve

Very interesting grey based light mauve shade. This one is a bit sheerer and not as pigmented as other shades.

Bitten

Bright fuchsia purple. It's cool toned and of the most unique shades. For some reason I've really started to like purple lipsticks. This one also has good pigmentation.

Berry Cute

Berry purple shade with cool undertone. It's perfect fall shade. It's a bit less pigmented.

Revenge

One of those aubergine shades, a mix of dark red and violet. It's a bit less pigmented.

Divine Wine

Deep mauve. It looks like a mix of dirty pink and brown. This one is slightly less pigmented.

Twig

Medium brown with warm undertone. It actually seems a bit like a mauve brown. It has good pigmentation.

Truffle

Dark chocolate brown shade. An amazing shade for medium to dark skin tones.  The pigmentation is medium.

And the swatches all together, so that you can get a better idea of how the shades compare to each other. You can click on the photo to see it better.

I think those lipsticks have an amazing pigmentation. Of course the pigmentation varies a little from shade to shade, but in general, the lipsticks are really pigmented. With one swipe you can easily cover the lips.

The creamy formula is a dream and I also like that it feels moisturizing and comfortable on the lips. Those lipsticks remind me very much of their Ultra Color Indulgence, but seem like a more pigmented version of those. The range of shades is big and I'm sure you'll find a shade for you.

My favorite and most unique shades are Twig, Cantaloupe, Mad For Mauve, Bitten and Berry Cute. Twig and Berry Cute are perfect fall shades. Cantaloupe is my kind of shade, but has an interesting dirty brown undertone. Mad For Mauve is such a unique shade. It was the first shade that really popped out to me. Not my usual color, but so unique. Same goes for Bitter, which is just crazy out there bright.

I highly recommend you to try some of these, if you're looking for good pigmented lipsticks with slightly matte, yet very comfortable moisturizing formula. The range offers some really unique shades. What are your favorite shades?

Obožujem Avon šminke. Po mojem mnenju so to glavne zvezde Avonovih izdelkov. Avon pogosto predstavi nove linije šmink in večina formul mi je zelo všeč. Hvala Avon :).

Rdečila trenutno stanejo 4.90€ (redna cena 6€) in vsaka vsebuje 7 ml izdelka.

So precej dolgo obstojne, zaradi visoke pigmentiranosti in rahlo mat kremne formule.

Celotna linija vsebuje 15 odtenkov.

Poglejmo kako odtenki izgledajo bolj od blizu. Najprej se moram opravičiti. To objavo sem napisala že prej, ko sem testirala testerje. Kasneje sem dobila še ostale odtenke in jih fotografirala kasneje.

In The Buff
Breskvasto rjav nude odtenek. Je toplega podtona. Moje ustnice ampak boljše odtenek. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Stolen Kisses
Mešanica roza in breskavstega odtenka, ampak vsekakor bolj roza.

Cantaloupe

Verjetno moj najljubši odtenek. Svetlo oranžen odtenek z rjavim podtonom. Zdi se mi zanimiv, ker ni tipičen oražen odtenek, ampak ima tak umazan podton, Je dobro pigmentiran.

Heat Wave
Zelo živ roza odtenek. Zanimiv roza odtenek, ker je zelo živ, ampak vseeno dokaj svetel in rahlo bolj prozoren. Ni tako pigmentiran kot ostali odtenki.

Pucker Up
Živ roza odtenek s hladnim podtonom. Eden izmed klasičnih roza odtenkov. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Uptown Pink
Umazan srednje roza odtenek. Ima rahlo rjavkast podton. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Hot Pants
Tipično temen fuksija roza odtenek. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Power Trip
Pravi klasično rdeč odtenek z modrim podtonom. Je dobro pigmentiran

Mad For Mauve
Zelo zanimiv odtenek.

Divine Wine
Temno umazano vijoličen odtenek. Izgleda kot mešanica umazane roza in rjave. Tudi ta je rahlo manj pigmentiran.

Twig
Srednje rjav odtenek s toplim podtonom. Deluje skoraj kot umazano vijolično rjav odtenek. Je dobro pigmentiran.

Truffle

Temno čokoladno rjav odtenek. Čudovit odtenek za tiste s srednjim in temnim tenom kože.

Moji najljubši odtenki so Twig, Cantaloupe, Mad For Mauve, Bitten in Berry Cute.

Linija ponuja nekaj zelo uniaktnih odtenkov. Kateri odtenki pa so vam najljubši?

Review: Kiko Nail Lacquer (526 Mint, 330 Lilac)

Hey Beauties!

I only have a few Kiko products, but the brand quickly became one of my favorites. Thanks to a lovely fellow blogger Kvina, I got the chance to get some more Kiko products. So, be prepared for more Kiko reviews. Today I'll talk about two nail polish shades that stole my heart.

Kiko nail polishes come in a cute square glass bottle with black top. The brush is pretty standard and applies the nail polish nicely and evenly. Each nail polish usually costs 2.90€, but they were now only 1.90€ each. You'll get 11 ml of product.

526 Mint

Now let me first say that this shade is impossible to photograph. I bought it based on some other reviews and the name mint, although to me it's not the kind of mint that I wanted. I wanted more green mint and that one is like a darker version of mint. It looks a bit too light and too blue on the photos.

The formula is creamy and well pigmented, but I did need two thin coats to cover the nails.

This shade reminds me of Bourjois 1 Seconde gel nail polish in 22 Turquoise Block. Bourjois is darker and a bit more blueish.

It's definitely a very unique shade, I just thought it would be lighter and a bit greener for some reason.

Kiko 330 Lilac

Now this shade, I am obsessed with. For some unknown reason, I've wanted this kind of light lavender shade since spring. It's a really lovely light lavender purple

This one also has very pigmented and creamy formula. I only applied one thicker coat and it covered my entire nail. Truly dreamy pigmented nail polish.

Kiko nail lacquers usually last a good amount of time on my nails with the right top coat. They are not very long lasting, but they also don't chip the second day on my nails, so I'm good with that. Now I definitely want to expend my Kiko collection. For the price, they are really nice.

Review: Essence liquid lipstick (06 Make A Statement)

Hey Beauties!

I already spoke of my love for Essence's new liquid lipsticks. The first shade that I bought was 03 Almost Real. I liked the comfortable feel of it and decided to grab another shade. I'll admit that most of the shades are not my kind of wearable shades, but I did manage to find one everyday wearable red.

It's called 06 Make A Statement. In this one you also get 4 ml of product for the price of 2.79€

I won't go into details of the formula, because I already explained it here. It's basically like a highly pigmented lip gloss with a very moisturizing and comfortable formula. It's not the most long lasting thing and it starts to wear off from the inner part of the lips. This is more visible with this shade, because this one is darker. The lighter shades are more forgiving.

Doe foot applicator hold a lot of product, that should be enough to cover the entire lips.

Lipstick doesn't feel sticky, but it has a very moisturizing shiny finish to it.

Shade 06 Make A Statement is like a warm cherry red. It's a bit pink toned, but would be qualified as a red. For some reason it seems to have a bit of brown undertone on me. Maybe it's just my yellow toned complexion playing games on me. It's definitely a nice warmer pinkier take on a regular red.

This one is also really pigmented and covers lips pretty well. I like the juicier finish that it gives.

I wanted to compare this shade with some other lip products. Unfortunately, I don't really own much of such reds.

Catrice Longlasting Lip Liner in 040...And The Cherry On The Top is darker and more red. Essence Longlasting Lipliner in 06 A Girl's Dream is somewhat similar, but has a bit more peach to brown undertone. I love the shade of Bourjois Rouge Edition 12 hours lipstick in 33. It's my go to fall red. This one is also a lot more peach brown than Essence's liquid lipstick.

As you can see, I don't really have a dupe for this shade, but I do have some reds with similar tones to it.

This is how it looks like on me. Pretty neutral take on a classic red lip.

Red purple fall makeup

Hey Beauties!

Fall is coming. It doesn't feel like it now, here in Slovenia, but it is. It's been really hot summer and I think this is the last warm week, so make the best of it. My thoughts are already in another season. Season that features my favorite color palette. Warm rich shades of yellow, red, purple and olive. Fall is my favorite color palette and today I'm starting with a classic red purple makeup look.

I applied matte taupe shade in the crease, concentrating more on the outer edge. Then I used matte burgundy shade a bit lower from the crease, again concentrating on the outer third of the eye. After that I went over with brighter purple.

I used shimmery purple red in the center and blended it toward the outer edge. On the inner third of the eye I used shimmery cranberry red shade. I went back to the part where I applied bright purple and went over it with a satin cool toned purple.

I did the same on the lower lash line. Then I added a mix of gold and light peach shade in the inner corner of the eye. I applied my usual winged liner and then added some mascara.

On the face I did my usual routine. Foundation, powder, bronzer on the outer edges of the face and highlighter on the highest point of the face. I used light mauve blush, which is barely noticeable. This is a more neutral version with light lavender shade of lipstick.

But if you love dark rich lipstick shades, that are always in for fall, then you can go with something berry purple, like I used here.

I also paired it with burgundy gold nails. It's a manicure I experimented a few days ago. Maybe I'll even do a separate post of it.

So what shades do you love to wear in fall season? Mine are reds, purples, browns and greens.

My favorite face masks

Hey Beauties!

I have to admit, that when it comes to face masks, I am not particularly picky. This is maybe due to the fact that I never seem to have time to take baths, or do face masks, or any kind of beauty routine, that needs a bit of time and work. I'm just horrible like that. I do have time for skin care routine and makeup, but everything else, pamper related, I just never seem to have time for. That being said, when I do finally remember to use face masks, I really like these.

Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque

This is a regular clay based mask. It's very cheap. This one is great for anyone with oily skin. It does a good job of cleaning the pores, so I love to use it at times when I have pimples or any nasty blackheads. It can be a bit drying, if you're skin is not oily, so be sure to moisturize after using it.

It's very thick. To the pint, when it's hard to squeeze it out. It's one of those typical green clay masks, that you see in TV show scenes. You really need to smudge it nicely around the face, because it's very thick. If you use a thin layer, it will dry faster. You can see it drying, because it's becoming more of a lighter mint shade and it makes your face look like a Sahara desert. It feels pretty tightening on the face.

It smells herbal with mix of mint. This is perfect for summer, because it almost feels a bit cooling, due to the mint in it.

You can get it on iherb for 3.90$ and you get 226 grams of it. They've changed the design, so now it looks a bit different. I've had this for literally more than a year. It's just huge and it will last you for a really long time.

Balea Aqua Tuchmaske

I actually already reviewed this product here. It's hydrating sheet mask. Those sheet kind of masks, have become really popular lately. I guess our lifestyle is making our faces and bodies dehydrated, so anything hydrating is a must in skin care.

This mask comes in a sheet shape of face, with the cut outs for lips and eyes. It's very moist and cold to the touch. It feels refreshing and hydrating. I love the fact that it's really moist, so that when you're done with it, you are still left with some product, which you just massage it into the skin.

It's definitely my favorite hydrating mask. It doesn't have any particular scent, just fresh smelling. You get one sheet mask for the price of 0.99€. You can buy it in Drogerie Markt stores.

Avon Planet Spa Thailand Lotus Flower Deep Pore Cleansing Face Mask

I found this mask by a coincidence. Once I ordered tester of it, just for the fun of it. I loved it so much, but I couldn't find it in the Avon catalog anymore. Finally, it came back. Avon loves to change their lines, but fortunately you can still get a hold of this one every now and then.

This one is again clay based mask, but seems a bit more sophisticated. It's great for deep cleaning the pores.

It has a light lavender color and it has a texture of a thicker cream. It spreads nicely and it's definitely not as thick as Mint Julep Masque. When it dries it becomes very white. It also has that tightening feeling and the cracked look to it. It actually gets rid of the blackheads completely, but of course they tend to come back pretty quickly on my skin type.

It has a very nice subtle sweet spa line scent. Seems pretty calming.

I would use this for when I have a lot of blackheads and clogged pores. Mint Julep Masque is better for when I have pimples and problems with oiliness (summer time), because it just seems to dry up the pimples.

This one is definitely pricier. The regular price is 11.50€ and you get 75 ml of it. I highly recommend you to wait for when it's on sale, because then it costs only around 3.50€. You can buy it at your local Avon seller

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Gommage Face Mask with Dead Sea Minerals

Another great Avon mask, that I bought on a whim and found it very useful. It's a chemical peeling kind of mask. It uses acids to peel off top layer of your face and therefore making your skin a lot smoother.

I love this one for one main reason. It only needs to sit on your face for 1 to 2 minutes. Music to my ears. I can slap it on, when I clean my face in the morning or evening, wait 2 minutes and I'm done. All other face masks require longer period of working time from 10 to 15 minutes, but this one is easy breezy.

It comes out as an off white transparent and seems like a gel. It's still firm enough, so that it doesn't slip all around, but it's more on the thinner side. It spreads very smoothly and feels a bit sticky in the beginning. Then it dries to a completely non sticky layer, which is still shiny. I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

It's also good for sensitive skin, because I don't experience any tingling or allergic reactions. Once you wash it off, you're left with ultra smooth skin. Isn't that just one of the best feelings ever? I love to use it when my skin surface gets a bit bumpy or when I tend to get dry patches. Very gentle chemical based mask.

The smell is somewhat manufactured like, not the most pleasant, but it's subtle enough, so that you won't notice it.

This one costs 10.50€ for 50 ml, but as I said, wait for it to be on sale, because it's a lot cheaper. You can buy it at your local Avon seller

There you have my favorite masks. Just to recap. For when my skin feels dry, I love to use Balea Aqua Tuchmaske, because it's really hydrating. For when I get pimples, that are result of oilier skin I love to use Queen Helen Mint Julep Masque, because it dries up the pimples and cleans my pores. Blackheads are a stubborn thing, but Avon Planet Spa Thailand Lotus Flower mask gets rid of them completely, at least for some time. It's also a bit more gentle and not as drying as Mint Julep Masque. Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Gommage mask is great for times, when I get dry patches or my skin surface just feels bumpy. It makes my skin ultra smooth.

Since, I am not an expert on face masks and I actually don't use them a lot, I would love to hear what are your favorite face mask. Maybe I'll even expend my collection and start using them more.

Fall burgundy gold geometric nails

Hey Beauties!

Nail art is not my forte. Let's just go with it. I always say that practice makes perfect, so I still practice and wait for it to become perfect. If you ask me to do a straight eyeliner line, I can do it. But when it comes to anything else and drawing straight lines, I am complete rubbish at it. So please, bare with me.

I've been seeing this geometric nail design all over Pinterest and I really liked the black and white versions, but I decided to go for a fall color scheme. For the base I used probably my favorite fall nail polish shade, Maybelline Colorama in 261. It's a deep almost black burgundy.

Then I used a very thin stripper brush and made two dots in the center of the nail (well I tried!). Then I drew two lines from the sides of the center of the nail and joined them in the lower point. I did the same two lines and joined them in the upper dot. I finished with a line across the nail, just a bit down from the top of the nail.

For the lines I used metallic gold nail polish, Essence LE Metal Glam in 04 Gold Digger.

I know my lines are horrible. I am more comfortable drawing design or doing anything else, but lines and especially straight lines are my nightmare. Still, I wanted to share this manicure with you, because I think it actually looks pretty descent, when all the nails are done. I like the color combination and the geometric design.

You may have already seen this manicure in my Red purple fall makeup

Review: Avon True Color Eyeshadow Quad palettes (Day Dream, Gilded Metallics, Smoky Plums)

Hey Beauties!

I am further expending my Avon True Color Quads collection, because Avon was so nice to send me three of their new shades to try. I've said it before how much I like their palettes and I found another two of my favorites, among these three.

The palettes comes in a plastic shiny black packaging, which is small, compact and perfect to travel with. It closes securely and has a push system button, if you want to open it.

You get 5 grams of product. The regular price is 10.60€, but they're often on sale. Right now you can get them for 6.50€ (Slovenia).

I've mentioned frequently why I like Avon True Color Quads. I think each palette has the shade range that works and it's a no brainer to use for someone, who's not on the best terms with makeup and application. You really can't go wrong. The shades have different pigmentation. Matte shades are usually extremely pigmented, while shimmer shades can have either good pigmentation or poor, depending from shade to shade. Eyeshadow stays on well and can survive a whole day (exception being if you have very oily lids or hot weather).

So Avon decided to expend their range and they've now added three new shades. They're called Day Dream, Gilded Metallics and Smoky Plums

I applied all the shades from the palettes as it says on the back of the box that it comes in. I applied shade one all over above the crease. Then I used shade 2 in the inner third of the eye. I used shade 2 in the outer part of the lid. I added shade 4 in the outer V of the eye.

Day Dream

All the shades in this palette are cool toned and will suit does with fair complexion. I see this as a perfect palette for someone with blond hair, blue eyes and very fair skin. The shades seem to be really light and soft. Not my shade range, because they seem too cool toned for me.

Shade 1: Matte light grey. It's a really light grey almost grey based white. It's very pigmented.
Shade 2: Cool (blue) toned light pink. One of those classic baby pink shades with cool undertone. It's shimmery and a bit less pigmented.
Shade 3: Silver based blue. It's also cool toned.  Again another classic blue with shimmer. This one is also a bit less pigmented.
Shade 4: Chocolate brown. This one is also cool toned, almost has a bit of silver sheen to it. It's shimmery and very pigmented.

Gilded Metallics

This is a warm gold based brown palette. It's for those with light skin tones, because the shades are pretty light. It's definitely my kind of shade range.

Shade 1: Light yellow toned gold. It's very sheer, but has chunks of gold glitter in it. The base is very light yellow and shimmery. The bigger shimmer or glitter in it, is gold. It's less pigmented, because it's a lot sheerer than other shades.
Shade 2: Copper light brown. This is a very unique warm brown shade. It's shimmery and it almost looks a bit coppery or peach. It's very pigmented.
Shade 3: Gold based light caramel brown. Again a really unique shade. It has warm light caramel brown base and on top of it is a very obvious gold sheen. It's also very pigmented. It actually looks green in the palette, but goes on brown.
Shade 4: Dark brown with gold glitter. The base is shimmery dark brown. It does actually look more cool toned, but on top of it is gold bigger shimmer or glitter, which makes it warmer. The glitter is the same size as in shade 1. It's as well, very pigmented.

Smoky Plums

This is for anyone that loves matte shades. It has three matte shades and one shimmery. It contains plum cool toned shades, perfect for fall. This would look amazing on brown and green eyes. It should suit most skin tones. Matte shades have a lot of fallout, so tap some of the eyeshadow off, before you apply it. Or you'll need to clean up under your eyes.

Shade 1: Very light lavender shade with pink sheen. The base is almost white with a hint of lavender. Over it is a very obvious cool toned pink sheen. It's shimmery. It's also a bit less pigmented.
Shade 2: Cool light grey. It actually has a tiny bit of purple to it, barely noticeable. It's not an average grey. It's also completely matte and very pigmented.
Shade 3: Cool toned dirty mauve. Very pretty unique shade. It's matte and very pigmented.
Shade 4: Very dark cool plum. It almost looks black. It's also matte and very pigmented.

I am in love with Smoky Plums. This is absolutely perfect fall shade and for some reason the cool undertone doesn't even bother me. I especially like shade 3. Gilded Metallics is right up my alley as far as the shades goes. It's another neutral take on browns and perfect everyday palette. My favorite shades are 2 and 3. Day Dream is unfortunately not flattering for my skin tone. It actually feels like it's too light and definitely too cool toned for me to make it work. But it would be amazing on cool fair skin tones. What are your favorite shades?

I also have some other shades of Avon True Color Quads. You can read my thought on it here:
Underwater Paradise and Precious Shells

Mocha Latte

Spet razširjam svojo kolekcijo Avonovih True Color Quad palet, ker me je Avon pred kratkim presenetil z tremi novimi odtenki. Že večkrat sem omenila kako zelo so mi všeč te njihove palete in zdaj sem našla še dva odtenka, ki sta mi zelo všeč.

Pogosto sem omenila, zakaj so mi všeč Avon True Color Quad palete. Odtenki so različno pigmentirani.

Dodal je tri nove odtenke in sicer Day Dream, Gilded Metallics in Smoky Plums.

Potem sem nanesla odtenek 2 v notranji tretjini očesa. Odtenek 3 sem nanesla na zunanjo polovico veke. Nato sem odtenek 4 dodala samo v zunanji V kotiček očesa.

Day Dream

Vsi odtenki imajo hladen podton in bodo pristajali vsem s svetlo poltjo. Odtenki so zelo svetli in subtilni. Ni moj nabor odtenkov, ker so vsi preveč hladni za moj ten kože.

Odtenek 1: mat svetlo siva.
Odtenek 2: svetlo roza s hladnim (modrim) podtonom. Ena izmed klasičnih otroško roza barv s hladnim podtonom. Je šimrasta in malo slabše pigmentirana.
Odtenek 3: modra s srebrnim podtonom.

Gilded Metallics

Vsekakor popolnoma moj nabor odtenkov.

Odtenek 1: svetlo rumeno zlata.
Odtenek 2: bakreno svetlo rjava. Zelo unikaten topel rjav odtenek. Je šimrast in skoraj spominja na baker. Je zelo pigmentiran.
Odtenek 3: svetlo karamelno rjava z zlatim podtonom. Spet zelo unikaten odtenek.
Odtenek 4: temno rjav odtenek z zlatimi bleščicami. Podlaga je šimrasto temno rjava. Izgleda bolj hladen odtenek, ampak na vrhu je velik šimer oziroma bleščice v zlati barvi, kar naredi celoten odtenek bolj topel. Bleščice so enakih velikosti kot v odtenku 1. Tudi ta je zelo dobro pigmentiran.

Smoky Plums

Odtenek 1: zelo svetlo sivkast odtenek z roza sijajem. Podlaga je skoraj bela z kančkom sivke. Preko podlage je očitno viden hladen roza sijaj. Odtenek je šimrast in malo slabše pigmentiran.
Odtenek 2: hladno siva.
Odtenek 3: umazano roza vijolična s hladnim podtonom. Zelo unikaten odtenek.

Moja najljubša odtenka sta 2 in 3. Day Dream žal ne odgovarja mojemuu tenu kože.

My blog has a proper directory now

Hey Beauties!

This was bound to happen. My posts have been pilling up and I realized that I still don't have a proper directory of my products, nail art and makeup looks. I do have segments for each category with photos and a link to it, but I realize it may took a bit longer to upload each page, since it's a lot of photos. I will still have that, but now I'm also giving you a written directory. Woop woop!

First are all the product reviews categorized under each type of product. For example, first is skin care, then makeup and so on. In those categories are subcategories like lipstick and then you have my lipstick reviews in alphabetical order.

It took me about three hours to do it all, but it was better to do it now, then wait for more posts. I realized I'm the lucky one, since I only have 413 posts so far. Which is still kind of impressive for only 2 and a half years of blogging.

This was also a good insight for me. I realize I have very little reviews of foundations and powders. Shame on me, since I currently own 5 foundations and 4 powders. Expect those reviews. What I am very good at describing are lipsticks, eyeshadows and nail polish. I have ton of reviews of the most "photogenic" products.

Now knock yourself out! You can easily find my embarrassing makeup looks, ancient product reviews and "skilled" nail art. Who am I kidding, I still don't know how to make a proper nail art.

Review: Herbio AHA Fruit Peeling Mask

Hey Beauties!

I've already reviewed Kalei Cream from Herbio. If you're looking for a very moisturizing cream for the upcoming colder months, I highly recommend you this one. They gave me a chance to try another product and I chose the one, that I wanted to choose in the first place. It's their AHA Fruit Peeling Mask

It says that the mask has an effect of gentle peeling. It should remove dead skin cells, encourages skin regeneration, makes it flexible, softer and supple. It should also minimize the pores and help with pigmentation spots.

It's supposed to be for oily skin with impurities and enlarged pores.

The mask contains orange oil, lemon extract, cucumber extract, AHA glycol, lactic acid, bisabolol and allantoin. This mask doesn't contain and paraben or mineral oils.

It comes in their signature plastic pump dispenser packaging. The packaging is useful and keeps the product fresher for longer.

The pump has a fairly big hole and you can get a lot of product out with one pump. You can control the amount with the amount of pressure you use. The only downside is that the product stays in that hole and it dries up. So you're actually wasting a bit of product with every use.

It costs 9.95€ and you get 50 ml of it. You can buy it here

The mask actually seems more like a cream. It's firm and fairly thick. It has yellow color and it smells very fresh citrus like.

I would say use two pumps for the whole face. It spreads like a cream and stays put for 10 minutes. I would say you may experience very slight tingling in the begging, but it vanishes quickly. Don't put it over wounds, because it will sting.

When it dries it looses the sticky feeling and becomes matte. It seems to me something like if you would spread egg all over your face and let it dry. Not that I ever did that or know how it feels. However, it doesn't give you any tightening feeling.

After you wash it off, you're left with soft hydrated smooth skin. Chemical peeling seems to be very mild. No irritations and it's even good for sensitive skin. I would also say this is good for dry skin, because the skin is hydrated and not at all dry, like after you use clay based masks. Plus it kind of helps with the dry patches and slightly gets rid of it.

I can't talk about the pores, because I think this would be seen in a long run. I also don't have huge problems with pigmentation, so I can't say about that either.

I usually use face mask before I go to bed, because I feel the skin has more time to soak up any beneficial ingredients and repair itself through the night. With this peeling mask my skin felt plumped and still well moisturized in the morning.

My expectations of this mask were different. I thought that this would feel more like a chemical peeling and that the skin would be smooth as baby's skin. But the peeling property is so gentle, that is hard to notice sometimes. I almost think that this is better for sensitive and dry skin, which needs gentle removal of dead cells and more plumpness for dull skin. It also feels more moisturizing, then exfoliating. If you have a chance check out their products, because I think the formulas are quit amazing and the prices are not bad at all.

Krema vsebuje olje pomaranč, izvleček limone in kumaric, AHA glikol, mlečno kislino, bisabolol in alantoin.
