Review: Catrice LE Treasure Trove Liquid Liner and Golden Powder

Hey Beauties!

I was planning on getting gold liquid liner from Treasure Trove Catrice's Limited Edition and I did. But when I was in the store, I was interested in the golden powder. No wonder here, whenever I see something shiny for the face, I jump at it. I still didn't quit figure it out, if I like it or not.

Golden Powder in the shade C01 Golden Grace comes in a classic transparent plastic packaging. It makes it easy to see the product. It also closes really securely. It has gold writing. The price for it is 4.69€ and you get 9.18 grams of product.

It has a pretty star embossed design. The shade looks like a mixture of champagne and silver pink in the pot, but it's actually a bit more peachy champagne on the skin. It has small shimmer in it, which makes it pretty shiny. The shimmer is small enough, but you can detect it here and there because of its multi color shine.

When I saw it in the store, it somehow reminded me of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. The shades look very similar, although I don't have Becca, so I can't make a comparison.

It has that pretty peach champagne shade, which is kind of mind boggling. It's a bit too dark on my skin to be used as a highlighter and too light to be used as a bronzer. My guess is that this was intended that way. It's probably meant to be an all over golden powder which you can apply on cheeks, decolletage and body.

If I apply it lightly it can pass as a highlighter, although it definitely gives me  a bit sun kissed look, because of the peachy undertone and darker shade. It works great as a highlighter, blush and bronzer all in one. You can apply it over all those areas to get shiny a bit sun kissed skin. I usually apply it lightly on tops of my cheeks and blend it over my blush. I also use it in other places as I would use highlighter, but it makes for a warmer and slightly bronzed like skin.

For medium skin tones, especially olive skin tones, this would be great shade for highlighter. For super pale people (even paler than me, if that is possible) this could be a very light warm shiny addition to your bronzer. You can also use it as a blush or over it to make it more glowy.

Texture of it is almost a bit wet or cream like, so it's really nice to apply it on the skin.

I compared the shade to some of my other highlighters and I have no dupes. It really is the darkest and most pink to peach toned highlighter in my collection. All of the others have lighter shade or are more golden.

Catrice Treasure Trove Liquid Liner in C01 Golden Grace comes in a white plastic packaging with metallic gold top and writing. It costs 3.29€ and in it is 3.5 ml of product.

Applicator is thin brush. This is good, because it moves with you and you can lay it diagonal to your eyes and it makes for an easy application. However, the more pressure you put on it, the wider line you'll get. Which is a bit of a down side, if you want to create super thin line, because it means you have to have a very steady hand to put less pressure on it.

The shade is like a very true yellow toned gold. Finish is metallic. In it you can see small shimmer and it really reflects the light and instantly brightens up your eye makeup. Once it dries it doesn't move, unless you sweat a lot or have very greasy lids.

As you know I am a real fan of gold and I love metallic colored liquid liners, because they can add a bit of glam and sparkle to any makeup look. This is especially pretty for this time of year. I applied it over my usual black liner.

I am still undecided on the golden powder. I like the fact that the shade is something new in my highlighter collection, but it's a bit too dark for me now. I hope I can use it more in the summer and I'll still be using it over blush and lightly on my cheeks. It would be a great shade for darker skin tones. I love the gold liquid liner, because I can make colorful shiny season appropriate eye makeup looks and gold is really my kind of color. I also think the metallic finish is great for waking up the eyes and giving them some sparkle. I will need to make it work because of the brush, it challenges my trying-to-get-the-perfect-line-liner technique.

My Lips, Nails, Brushes and Other Wish List

Hey Beauties!

I have the last wish list post about products that I really want to get my hands on. Today it's all about lips, nails, makeup brushes and one other thing.

Kiko Dream Wish Nail Lacquer Set

I think the name couldn't be better. It really is a dream wish list product for any nail polish lover. Kiko has one of the best formulas and very affordable prices (especially, when they're on sale). I really like their regular Nail Lacquer line, although I wish to have a lot more of these in my collection. In this set you get seven bright shades of nail polish with one glitter top coat. I like all of the shades. It's a very classic set of colors that many would love.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Stockholm

This is on my wish list for a really long time. I was so excited when I saw that Feelunique got NYX products, but of course Stockholm is already sold out. Just my luck. I really like this peachy brown pink matte lipstick and I hope I'll get it soon, because I've heard some great things about their lip creams.

Charlotte Tilbury Mini Lipstick Charms

It's a set of three mini sized lipsticks. In it you get Penelope Pink (peachy nude), Bitch Perfect (pink nude) and So Marilyn (classic red). I have hard time finishing full sized lipsticks, so this would be perfect. All the shades are pretty classic and would probably suit me well. Here makeup line is impeccable and lipsticks are very raved about.  One more reason to try them.

Kiko Nail Lacquer - 507 Blush

This shade just appeals to me and I rarely go for lighter colors. It's like a very light white with slight peach tint to it, but then it almost looks a bit pastel neon line on the photos. I love peach shade and the fact that it's very light really makes me want it.

Kiko Nail Lacquer - 373 Burnt Sienna

It looks like a warm brown taupe base with gold shimmer. I tend to gravitate toward brown lately and gold shimmer just makes it a perfect combination. This is definitely on my list for future purchases.

Kiko Temptress Lip Set - 04 Passionately Red

Kiko has some amazing makeup sets for December in their Cosmic Starlets Edition and I want them all. In this set you get a lipstick and a complimenting color of lip liner. After seeing some swatches on the internet, I decided for a classic red shade. I think the finish is a bit shiny.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick - Shy Girl

MAC lipsticks are always a good choice for anyone's wish list. You have a huge range of shades and finishes for all skin types. I have four of them and would love to add to my collection. Shy Girl seems like a pretty pale peach shade. I also don't have any of their cremesheen finishes and would love to try it. It looks like a good finish for dry lips.

MAC Matte Lipstick - Honeylove

This was love at first sight. I first saw this lipstick on Sara's blog. It looks like a perfect mix of peach and brown. Super pretty and definitely high on my wish list.

Kiko Twin Stars Nail Lacquer and Lipstick - 01 Lavish Beige

Another amazing set, which would be a perfect gift for anyone that loves nail polish and lipsticks. You get lipstick with matte finish and shiny gel effect nail polish. Shades are accordingly similar. I want to get the beige version. Lipstick looks like a mauve brown nude and nails look like a classic pink nude shade.

Zoeva Rose Golden Complete Eye Set

You all know that I am obsessed with highlighter, but my second obsession must be makeup brushes. I have too many of them as it is, but I always want more. Most of my brushes are actually cheaper ones. I do have one small set of Zoeva eye brushes. I'm not even sure that they still sell this set. It was called Luxury Eye Brush Set. Since I am very happy with their quality, I want more. Because with eye makeup you can't really have too many brushes, at least I like to think so. This set has 12 eye brushes that you'll ever need.

Lisa Eldridge Face Paint Book

Lisa Eldridge is my favorite makeup artist. She's one of the first makeup artists that I watched on YouTube and I really like her aesthetic view on makeup. In the time of heavy contouring, highlighting, false lashes... she is actually one of the rare makeup artists that still swears on using makeup as a tool for enhancing your natural beauty, not making it look really fake. I admire her and love her soothing voice and professionalism. It's also rare that industry's leading makeup artists share their techniques on YouTube with all of us that don't have a professional makeup background. I admire her for that. Naturally, I was overly excited, when I heard that she wrote a book. It's about the history of makeup. I don't like history at all, but I am always intrigued to find out how makeup evolved through the years and I am almost certain that it's a very easy read. This is definitely on my top of wish list.

Zoeva - 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek Brush

This is angled brush and I would like to use this as a contouring brush.

Zoeva - 126 Luxe Cheek Finish Brush

Another great brush for either applying blush or powder. I think I would use this for powdering my face.

Zoeva - 101 Luxe Face Definer Brush

This brush is a bit tapered and it reminds me a little of Real Techniques Blush Brush, but a slimmer version of it. I would probably use this for bronzer, because it looks fluffy enough and also pointed so that you can contour with it a bit.

Zoeva - 223 Petit Eye Blender Brush

I saw something similar to this in Lisa Eldridge's makeup videos and she always uses it around the lower lash line. It looks like a really precise, yet rounded brush for applying eye shadow lightly around the lower lash line. I still lack in this department, so it seems a really nice shape.

Japonesque Velvet Touch Brush Collection 4 Piece Gift Set

Another Lisa Eldridge inspired brush set. She uses a lot of Japonesque brushes and a year ago she featured this set in her holiday giveaway. I saw it in one of the online stores and though the price is actually not bad at all. It seems like the brushes must be of great quality. In the set you get powder brush, lip brush and two eye shadow brushes. It seems like a really nice basic set and for some reason I really want to try this brand.

Zoeva Rose Golden Complete Eye Set Vol. 2

And because you can never have too many eye brushes (did I already say I love brushes?), I want volume 2 as well. I am not obsessed with pink packaging, but I do like the variety of brush shapes in both these sets.

This is my last wish list. I featured some of the products that are on my mind for future purchases or just for day dreaming. I could do a lot more wish lists, but I just decided to feature products that are really stuck in my mind. I'm sure all of you also have few products that you're dreaming of. At the end of the day, it's just materialistic things and of course I don't need all of these, but I am allowed to dream a bit. Makeup just makes me a bit happier, like others get happy if they get a new game, shirt, sports gear and so on. Lists are also helpful to me, because when I go to certain stores, I at least know what I want and won't buy something on a whim. Do you make wish lists as well? What is your favorite product from my wish list?

Review: Nivea Rich Nourishing Body Milk

$

Hey Beauties!

A month ago I got a really nice surprise package from Nivea. I have to give it to them, they always put something extra in the package. It's the little things. I got their new Nourishing Body Milk and with it I got some really pretty fluffy socks. I also really like that they've hand written the note for me. I find that one of the best things ever. I really like personalized touches to packages.

Nivea rich nourishing body milk has a unique creamy texture. Water is emulsified in the oil and it contains intensive hydrating substance of almond oil. The oil nourishes skin for 24 hours. This combination should strengthen skin's barrier. After using this milk, the skin is nourished, silky soft and smooth. It also has a nice soothing smell.

The price for 250 ml is around 4.38€ and for 500 ml is around 6.20€

The packaging is reminiscent of their original universal cream in a metal pot. It's dark blue plastic and it has a simplistic white design. I like plastic pop up top, which is very secure.

The top is cut diagonally, because you can put it upside down. Genius! We've all had that problem, when your product is on its last legs and you're trying to get out the last bit. What do you do? You turn it upside down and try to find some support to prevent the bottle from falling down. Well Nivea saved us all. No more wasting of product. I will be surprised if other brands don't copy that (maybe they're just fools).

The milk has liquid looking, yet quit thick white consistency. It doesn't move on the skin on its own. You have to work it in. It feels very slippery. It's like you've mixed oil and heavy cream together. Application is very smooth and it glides on. I love this texture. I like thicker products in general. That being said, it's still easy to move, if you massage it in.

The more you work it in the skin the more it starts to soak, but it still leaves behind very shiny layer. I find that initial texture soaks into the skin after 20 minutes on my skin. After that the skin is still a bit shiny, but not greasy.

After I use this my skin feels very hydrated and soft. I think it really does a good job of hydrating dry skin. Mine is dry, not super dry where I would have flakes, so I can't speak for that.

The scent brings me back to my childhood. I think most of my Slovenian readers would agree that Nivea original cream was one of the first products that they used. I can still remember it from my childhood. It's such a unique soft, almost a bit sleepy soothingscent. I love it.

Good news for all of your with sensitive skin, which mine is as well, I didn't find the scent or ingredients to irritate my skin in any way. That's rare with my skin. I can apply anything on my legs, but when I go further up a lot of products irritate me. Especially heavily scented. This one was good and caused no irritations, so another point for that.

With the package I also got these super cute fluffy white sleep socks. The size is universal and definitely too big for my child like feet, but I think they're made more for someone with average size of 38. Because they are super soft I can make it work for my petite feet as well. I like to wear fuzzy socks in the evening when I'm in my pajama and my feet get cold.

They have a nice white lace trim around the top and cute white bow at the top center. They're made out of 99% polyester and 1% elastane and are very fluffy and soft. You can buy them at Drogerie Markt, but I'm not sure what the price is.

I don't get very excited about body milks and lotions, because to be fair, I don't find them super innovative or differing from each other. When colder days come, I like to apply body moisturizers at least 4 times a week. Especially after the shower. I love this Nivea Body Milk, because it's the perfect blend of thick cream and oil. I like the greasy feeling on the skin and the smell, which I find soothing. It definitely nourishes and hydrates my dry skin and I also really like the fact that it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Highly recommend this one, especially to anyone who has problems with dry skin and who loves original Nivea cream smell.

Gift Guide Part 1 (Eyes, Base, Lips)

Hey Beauties!

This year I decided to do gift guide post. Unfortunately, something came up and I'm just posting these now. I know it's a bit at the last minute, but I hope to give you some ideas, if you're like most people and you buy your gifts at the last minute. Of course, all these gifts apply through the year, not just now. It's a few themes for different type of products. I hope to give you some ideas and introduce you to some of my favorite products that I've had the chance to try this year. This is part 1 and I'll also do part 2, because it would be too long in just one post.

EYES TO MESMERIZE

This is for all of those, who love playing up their eyes. Some people just love creating on their eyes and always wear colorful looks paired with neutral lips. I found a few products that will compliment their eye product collection and satisfy with its quality.

1 Avon Always On Point Eyeliner

Those are the new shades. I had their previous Always On Point eyeliners and I loved their super easy to sharpen system. I like these new shades: Molten Pewter, Molten Sky and Molten Rose, because they are all very metallic and have lots of shimmer. Perfect gift for anyone who loves metallic sparkly products. These are great to sparkle up any makeup look. You can just add a bit on the lower lash line and bam.

One of those palettes that has a mix of cooler and warmer shades. There is a lot of neutral, but also little pops of color. It will probably suit a lot of different eye colors. I think the shades are of good quality. You can choose among some great matte shades for definition and some very sparkly and shimmery shades.

Those are some extremely powerful statement lashes. It's one of those false slashes for those who like to go all out. They're super soft and very well made. The bend is a bit thicker, but you can make them work. Those will make a statement with any makeup look.

4 Sleek I-Divine Palettes

Sleek makes one of the most pigmented and affordable eye shadow palettes. They have a huge range of different color combinations, so there's really something for everyone. The brand made shades that would show up on darker skin tones, that's why the pigmentation is amazing. I currently own just two Mattes V1 and V2, but am planning on getting some more, since they always come out with new ones.

My favorite brow powder so far. I really like this, because the packaging is super cute and already gift ready. The powder in it are matte, but very pigmented. They are also very long lasting and I love that you can mix and match shade according to your need. The brush that comes with it is very useful and I apply it with it every day.

This palette is for all of those warm eye shadow lovers like me. Quality of it is pretty amazing and you get a nice range of neutrals. The packaging is also pretty cute. You can mix this among your regular chocolates and surprise someone with a bit of different chocolate. The price is good for the amount and quality that you get.

These are older versions of the eyeliners I mentioned before. I think they are still available, but I'm not sure. Anyways, this always sharpen point system is genius and is definitely a perfect gift for all of those on the go people, who love to smoke up their eyes. The quality is also very pigmented and long lasting.

I like cheap sets of false lashes, because I like to play with them when I'm making artistic makeup looks. If you know someone who loves to do that as well, cheap affordable sets of good average quality false lashes, is a must. I love Born Pretty Store lashes, because you can get a lot of different styles for a really affordable prices. You can see what style of false lashes suits you and how they actually look on the eyes.

My favorite mascara so far. In my opinion it has everything. The texture of it is a bit wet in the beginning, but as it dries up a little, it becomes perfect. It gives the lashes volume, a bit of length, it separates them and holds the curl. Seriously one of the best drugstore mascaras. If you know someone that doesn't use this yet, go get it for them.

Zoeva has a huge range of makeup brushes. I especially like their eye brushes. They also have a lot of sets and collections with beautiful complimentary brush bags. You really can't go wrong with this gift. You can either buy a set or singular brushes that you thick lack in their collection. Yes, the prices are a bit higher, but the quality is amazing. You can buy more expensive brushes that have worse quality. So invest in a good quality.

In fact any lash curler will do. So many makeup lovers forget about the most important step in eye makeup - curling your lashes. Yes, a few lucky people in the world have naturally curled lashes, but for all other, a little help won't hurt. I know I didn't get friendly with Shu Uemura in the beginning, but I actually came around and like it now. I think you just need to work with it properly and get used to it. But really, you can choose among many different brands that do eyelash curlers.

Recently, I found this drugstore jewel. It's basically all of their All About eyeshadow palettes. I have Roses, but there are more shades available. I think the quality for such a cheap price is amazing. It's a good product if you're on a budget, but still want to give someone new eye shadow palette.

One of those products that need very little work and gives an instant glam to your eyes. I will say choose wisely with the shades, because some are less pigmented and can look patchy. In general, these are very quick to apply and need little blending. It's perfect travel or on the go product. Plus you can also use it in multiple ways.

Another quick and easy to use product. This will probably be best for all of those who love smoky eyes. Beyond the regular black, you can choose among many different colored shades, which are all still very wearable. You can maybe surprise someone with navy blue instead of usual black. They glide on easily and are very good for smudging.

15 Avon Ideal Flawless Eyeshadow Primer

Everyone need a good base to intensify eye shadows and make the makeup stay longer. I've been using this Avon eye primer, since I first tried it. I always have a backup. It does a nice job of evening your skin tone and it does prolong the wear of eye shadows. It also makes them last longer then without the primer.

ALL ABOUT THAT BASE

Some don't pay much attention to their base and love going bare or wearing something lightweight. But for all of us who love a good looking flawless base, these are the products that I find to be good quality.

1 Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Affordable and it does what it says. This is one of those rare powders that really keep the shine away from your face. Not for the whole day, but for a  descent time. I also love the fact that they have transparent shade, which will pretty much suit any fair to medium skin tone, so you really can't go wrong. This is definitely for those who like it matte.

2 Catrice Camouflage Cream

A really nice drugstore concealer for covering pimples or redness. It's too heavy to be used under the eyes. The texture is creamy and fairy pigmented. Everyone gets a spot now and then and this baby does a good job of covering it.

I think the lightest shade available in our country is very yellow toned, so keep that in mind. I like this concealer, because it's moisturizing and it makes for a great under eye concealer. I also like to use it when I want a more dewy finish or am suffering from dry skin spots. It also has a very good coverage.

This is a very silicon face primer. It will go into pores and minimize them. It also prolongs the wear of your makeup and gives you a perfect very smooth base for foundation. A must have for those who's makeup tends to slide all over the face or for special occasion, when you want your base to look perfect. If your skin reacts to silicon or tends to clog the pores, then maybe stay away from this.

5 Catrice Nude Illusion Foundation

Probably one of my favorite cheaper foundations. I think it's a nice mix of medium coverage, matte but not drying or dull look and a good long lasting power. The shades are a bit darker for all of us very fair people, but I like that they are pretty neutral. Not too warm or too cool toned. I really like this foundation and would probably suit many different skin types, except very oily ones.

6 E.l.f. HD Powder

I said once that I'm not sure I like this, but I actually do now. It's one of those loose white powders (but you can choose colored ones as well) and it's very praised. It's super light and it looks a bit like a white vail over your skin, if you overdo it. I will say it does look really good on photos and probably in videos. If you know someone who loves taking selfies, this will be their new favorite.

7 Catrice Prime and Fine Mattifying Powder

Another translucent powder, but in pressed version. This means, it's great for carrying around and it will suit different skin tones. It does a good job of mattifying without looking cakey and it's also fairy affordable.

Definitely my favorite concealer right now. It's creamy, pigmented and you can get a fairly light shade of it. It lasts well and it dries quickly. It works great as an under eye concealer or for covering blemishes and redness. Really good product.

My favorite foundation ever. It has a medium to full coverage and it lasts for days. This is definitely for all of those who like their base to be flawless and stay all day. It also doesn't have any annoying irritating perfume. I does lack a pump, but the product is so good, that I can live without.

LIPSTICK OBSESSED

Some swear by the cult beauty product - lipstick. Lipsticks have come so far with the formula and you can get some amazing quality at an affordable prices. Shade range is insane and you'll probably have a hard time choosing.

If you're a lipstick lover you don't need to look any further than MAC. MAC certainly has all possible finishes and shades you can imagine. I have four shades so far and really like them all. If you'd get me a MAC lipstick, I know I would love it.

Now they made new version, which are a bit harder and the shades look different. I also have some older versions which were softer. In any way. their lip liners are super affordable. You always need a good cheap lip liner or you can just use it instead of lipsticks. Especially to try out some crazy cheap shades.

My favorite line of lipsticks right now. The shade range is amazing and the texture is equality as good. It's a lipstick with a shiny finish at first, but it dries down to a semi-matte finish. All the shades are very pigmented and formula is great for dry lips. Definitely get them for someone who loves a good lipstick color, but tends to get dry lips often.

4 Golden Rose Lipsticks

I recently got one of their Vision lipsticks and I have to say I really like it. I was mostly surprised by how affordable their lipsticks are. I think 3€ something. Amazing. The packaging is not all that, but the product can easily be compared to some other drugstore lipsticks. I've heard that most popular are Vision and Matte ranges. My Vision lipstick has good pigmentation and doesn't dry out my lips.

I actually use this as a lip balm. I apply it every night and during the day, when I have dry lips or feel them getting drier. This is one of my most trusted products to help me maintain my lips at its best condition. It's also a multi functional cream that can be used on any dry patches.

This is the lipstick that I discovered on Born Pretty Store. It's one of the best formulas that I've tried. It's very pigmented and creamy. It also doesn't dry out my lips. The packaging is metal and it looks very much like the Top Shop lipsticks. They come in various shades and are pretty affordable.

It's actually one of lip balms that didn't impressed me as such. I firstly thought that it moisturizes my lips or helps to heal them, but I find it better as a base. This is good as a lipstick base and as a prevention from dry lips. Sometimes lipsticks can dry out your lips, but having this underneath can help. So I would almost say this is a good lipstick primer.

Another cheap and good quality lip liners. Those are very cream and could easily pass as lipsticks, so I would treat them so. If you want to get someone a bunch of shades, just make them a lip liner bouquet and I'm sure they'll love it. You also won't break your budget.

This is my first part of gift guide. I hope I gave you some last minute ideas. What would you add to these categories?

Gift Guide Part 2 (Face, Makeup Beginner and Nails)

Hey Beauties!

Here is another part of my gift guide. Today we'll be taking a closer look to some of contouring, highlighting and blush products. I'll also be talking about products great for those that are beginners at makeup and my favorite nail polishes and tools.

SHADE, LIGHT AND COLOR

This category has it all components of a sculpted face. It's something for everyone. You may have a relative obsessed with highlighting (like me) or they might love to contour and sculpt their face or you have someone that just loves a nice flush to their cheeks. Either way, I have a few products that will surely be their new product. It's not only highlighters, contours and blushes, but also brushes with which to apply all these products.

As with my lipstick category, I also have to point out MAC blushes. Again a huge range of shades and finishes. I choose Sheertone finish in the shade Pinch Me. I think those are some great quality basic matte blushes.

One of those brushes that can work great as a highlight brush or as a contour brush. I love to use it as a contour, because it fits perfectly under the cheek bone. It's pointed so it blends the product nicely and it's fairly soft.

I think no one will say no to this. It's one of very popular and in my eyes a must have for all of those that love highlighters. The shade is champagne gold and it's super shiny. My favorite highlighter and definitely worth the price. You get a lot of product for that price.

4 E.l.f. Small Tapered Brush

Perfect brush size for highlighter. It's also so cheap and the brush has very soft bristles. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

Makeup Revolution tends to copy brands and sometimes they do an amazing product for a much more affordable price. That's how I feel about their sculpt and contour kits. I have it in Ultra Fair, which really is fair. Sometimes names don't really live up to the actual shades. This has one of really pretty light warm bronzers. Highlighter is super shiny as well as the blush. All three products will give you sculpt and serious glow.

I've mentioned this in my NYX post as an amazing contour shade for all of those with light skin tones. It's just enough cool toned and less pigmented, which means you can build it up, without looking to heavy. I think it's an amazing shade and the product is also big enough to use as a contour shade.

It's meant to be used for blush, but I think it's a bit too big for that. I use it for my bronzer and it works perfectly. It's a huge soft brush, which is cut in a way that it blend the product on the skin and applies it softly enough. It's amazing for bronzer and it can easily be used also for powder or blush as well - if you use the very tip of it.

Here we have another amazing contour shade for fair skin tones. It's a bit more warmer then Essence eyeshadow, but still fairly contour like. The highlighter is subtle, so good for those that want just a tad of definition. It's worth having for the contour shade and it's also a great travel set.

This beauty was found on Ebay. I'm thinking it's a dupe for Real Techniques' Bold Metals brushes. By far one of the most perfect contour brushes you'll ever use. All you have to do is place it under the cheek bone and tap it forward and back. Or you can brush it up. The brush does the job for you. It's also ridiculously cheap.

10 Deborah Milano Hi-Tech Blush

I have this for probably too long already. Since I bought it's been in my favorites. I think they've changed it recently. I saw different shades and the formula might be different. Mine is baked and shimmery. It's one of those really flattering slightly shimmery glowy blushes and it will literally last you ages.

Another super affordable E.l.f. brush. Size is perfect for applying blush or even to use as a powder brush for spot powdering. Very soft and it picks up products nicely.

Another one of amazing baked blushes. They have a nice range of shades. Most are very shimmery, almost a bit too much for my taste, but Luminoso does it all. It's a perfect healthy looking peach shade with very small shimmer. It will give you a very healthy looking glow. It's again baked, so you'll probably have it for a really long time.

This one is meant for blush and it's actually very similar shade as E.l.f. blush brush. It's a bit denser, so you'd choose this if your want blush to be picked up in one swipe. This could also be used for powder or even for contouring. It's also very pretty looking and very cheap.

14 H&M Blush

As much as I think their beauty line is over priced, I really like this blush. I like that it's light and it's matte. The staying powder is amazing and you can choose among different shades. I will say it's pricey for the amount you get. But still, if you know someone that has all the blushes in their collection, but hasn't tried H&M's new beauty line, go for it.

MAKEUP BEGINNER

If you have someone that's just starting to use makeup and it might even be someone older, here are some of the basic products that are affordable, but still good quality. Sometimes all of this makeup can be too much, so providing them with basics that you know work good, are well worth and I'm sure they'll love your expertly chosen gifts.

1 Essence I Heart Extreme Volume Mascara Waterproof

If you're just starting with your makeup, you probably want it to be as long lasting as possible. Using waterproof mascara will prevent your from looking like a panda, when you forget that you have something on your eyes and start rubbing them. With this Essence mascara you also get a nice volume and it will keep your lashes curled, if you're already at that stage.

I've mentioned these in my eye category, but I'll also mention them here. Each palette has fairly neutral shades that go together, so you don't have to think much about it. Quality is good for the price and the shades are not too intense, so your mistakes won't be highlighted.

3 Ebay Eye Brushes

I think a brand Jessup does these, but you can also get ones without the brand name. There are four basic eye brushes for basic eye looks. Most are fluffy and soft enough. Some are even great for smudging and creating smoky eyes. Affordable starting out eye brushes.

Another fool proof eye shadow palette. It contains four shades, a mix of matte and shimmery ones. All the shades in the palette go with each other, so there's no wrong doing. Their quality is very good and they have a wide range of shade combinations. What I like about these palettes, even the colored ones are still very wearable.

5 Ebelin Makeup Sponge

My opinion on foundation for beginner is that there's nothing a makeup sponge can't fix. If you apply your foundation with makeup sponge it guarantees you to look nice and well blended. The sponges does the work for you, so you really don't have to think much about it. Ebelin's sponges are cheap and soft enough.

E.l.f. has one of the softest and most affordable brushes. Blush brush is small enough and soft that it makes for a great application for a beginner. You just have to use it lightly.

Metallic brushes from Ebay are not only very pretty and shiny, but they are also very soft and cheap. No one will know how cheap these are, because they look really expensive. With these three brushes you can make up your entire face.

This is a perfect blend of comforting lip balm and lightly colored lip gloss. It's super comforting product, but it also gives you just a tad of color. I think this is a better version of those tradition lip glosses. It also acts as a nourishing product. There are three shades available.

It looks like a lipstick. It has a lipstick luxurious packaging, but it in fact lip balm. It gives you color, but also nourishes as a lip balm. Again one of those soft lip products for someone who's just starting out in the makeup world. I think there are four shades available, pretty classic shades.

10 Bynanda BB Cushion Magic

I haven't reviewed this. It's a BB cushion from Born Pretty Store and it's lovely. It's my first BB cushion and it couldn't be more practical. The texture is very smooth and very glow. It's a light coverage, but can be build up. The system makes it super easy to use. You have a sponge that you dip into another sponge, which transfers product onto your sponge with which you apply it on your face. Perfect for traveling and for someone who wants just a tad of color.

11 Catrice Absolute Eyeshadow

I have the matte version, which to be honest I don't care much for it. It's because I'm not huge on matte eye shadows. This is still a pretty good product for those that are looking for matte palette. The texture is a bit drier and not as pigmented, but you do get a nice range of shades and they apply nicely. It's actually a good starter palette. You can also choose among other shades, which also contain some shimmery shades.

A bit of a more luxurious base for someone that's looking for a light amount of coverage and a very nice slightly glowy finish. I never thought I would love CC and BB cream, but this one is amazing. Its white, but it becomes skin line once you massage it into the skin. It gives you a very natural semi-matte finish, but with a nice glow. It's definitely undetectable and great nourishing product.

NAILS FOR DAYS

Last category, dear to my heart, is nail polishes. I love a good nail polish. Every year I'm sparkling them up in this time of year, so I also decided to feature some pretty sparkly nail polishes, which will be perfect as a gift for all nail polish lovers.

1 Avon Magic Effects Liquid Sequin Nail Polishes

Those are the latest edition of Avon's Magic Effects nail polishes. I actually got all the shades and am creating a post about them. I can already tell you those are some serious bling blings for your nails. They give a sequin effect, because they have different sizes of dots. They are all multi colored and very sparkly. This is statement nail polish that won't need any additional sparkly wrapping paper.

One of those must have tools for every nail polish lover. You just stick your finger in the whole and the sponge cleans off nail polish for you. You just need to twist it. It's so easy to use and will make your nail routine a lot quicker.

3 Revlon Nail Polishes

I love Revlon nail polishes. Their look is still very classic, but the shades and the formula is nice. Not my favorite kind of brush, because it is a bit long and thin, but a good formula does it. You also get a lot of product in the packaging. They also have a classic range of shades in my opinion.

This is again one of my favorite nail polish brands. They literally have every shade imaginable and the price is affordable. When they're on sale, I want to buy them all. The formula is super creamy and pigmented. They also last longer on me than most other nail polishes.

If you want it to be sparkly, but not over the top, then these nail polishes are for you. My relative also loves them and she doesn't like most of glittery nail polishes. This is a subdued sophisticated shimmery nail polish with a bit of a texture. It will compliment any manicure.

My favorite and best top coat ever. If you like doing nail art and drawing over your nails, you'll need this. It's one of the fastest drying top coats. It never smears design and it gives you a pretty shiny finish. It only has one fault, it starts to thicken when your about a half through the bottle and sometimes it can shrink your nail design. But that doesn't really bother me.

Amazing matte top coat that you can put over any nail polish and make it matte. I love this one. It does smear the designs a little, so wait for it to dry, before you apply it. Matte nails look so chic, because they're not as common as shiny finishes. If you want something different, this is it.

8 Avon Nail Experts 5 in 1 Nail Treatment

It's one of those nail treatments that can be used in multiple ways. It is supposed to strengthen your nails and make them less brittled. I love to use this as my base coat, because I feel like it does strengthen my nails a bit and it makes my manicure stay on. I also like that it dries down to almost nothing. It doesn't have a shiny finish, it's actually matte and looks like nothing on your nails.

9 L'Occitane 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream

Recently, I accumulated quit a few L'Occitane hand creams. My favorite is this one with 20% of Shea Butter. It's greasy enough, but it soaks into the skin. On the skin it leaves a slightly nourishing layer, which also stays on after you've washed your hands. I wash my hands often so I hate creams that soak into the skin too fast and don't feel moisturizing after a while. This one is great and also small enough to throw it into the bag.

Maybelline is my favorite drugstore brand for nail polishes. I wish they had bigger shade selection in our country. I do think they have some great basic shades and I like that these last on me well. It's definitely a more thinner formula with Colorama and a regular brush, while Colorshow has a bit more creamy and pigmented formulas. It really depends from shade to shade.

These are like a super luxurious very shimmery nail polishes. This is for all of those that really like it to sparkle a lot, but still look sophisticated. The shade range has some classic shades with some a bit more colorful ones. A must have for a party season.

12 Margaret Debbs Crystal Nail File

I finally invested in a crystal file and I couldn't be more happy. This has changed my nail routine and I think it helps my nails to look better. Regular nail files can damage your nails, while crystal files file so finely that it's actually a lot better for your nails. I also like that it's effective. I can shorten my nails in no time. Crsytal files are also one of those products that should last you life time, if you take good care of it.

14 Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream

This is a very greasy butter like cream, which can soften your cuticles and will give your dry skin some healthy looking glow. I like to apply this when I finish my manicure and when I'm taking photos of my nails, because it covers my very dry skin. It's one of those instant effect creams.

15 Golden Rose Nail Polishes

I fist saw this brand up close a few weeks ago. They have a huge range of finishes and colors. I was like a kid in a candy store. The prices are super affordable and I think the formulas are also not bad. I haven't tried all of them yet, but the ones I did, I like. They have the little ones for 1€ and something, so these are great additions to any gifts.

If you're still searching for perfect gifts and can't decided what to get, I hope I made your decision a bit easier. I only mentioned the products that I believe in and really like the quality. What would you add to my categories?

Classic Red And Gold Christmas Manicure

Hey Beauties!

When it comes to Christmas my color scheme includes gold and red. It's a classic color combination in my opinion. All my Christmas tree ornament are also gold and red. That's why I decided to do a classic red and gold Christmas nails with lots of glitter.

Before I start any manicure, I always apply base coat to my nails. Then I painted all my nails, except ring finger, with matte red nail polish.

I used three different sized gold glittery nail polishes. I applied them all with a bit of sponge. First layer was the finest tinniest gold glitter or rather shimmer. Then I added a bit bigger glittery spots and at the end I used irregular the biggest gold glittery parts. I also applied first layer of glitter the highest and slowly went down. The last glittery polish is concentrated only at the tips of my nails to give you that glitter ombre effect.

On my ring finger I applied metallic gold nail polish and I added those big gold particles of glitter to make it super sparkly.

I did apply top coat, but only to the part where I applied glitter, because I wanted to leave my red nail polish still looking matte at the top.

The nail polishes I used:
  • Avon Nail Experts 5 in 1 Nail Treatment
  • Golden Rose Matte Nail Lacquer - 16
  • Essence LE Metal Glam Nail Polish - 04 Gold Digger
  • Essence Nail Art Special Effect Topper - 06 You're A Gold Mine
  • Catrice Ultimate Nail Lacquer - 41 Two Million Dollar Baby
  • Essence LE Merry Berry Top Coat - 01 My Golden Pumps
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Simple, but effective, as I like to call this manicure. It will get you noticed, but you'll look apart next to your Christmas tree. What is your favorite Christmas combination for nails?

Review: Avon Jaliyah Advent Giftset

Hey Beauties!

A while ago I got this really pretty Advent Calendar from Avon. It's actually called Jaliyah Advent Giftset. It's one of the best advent calendars I've seen so far. Most of advent calendars are either skin care, makeup, hair care or chocolate oriented. But this one has a new piece of jewelry for every other day until Christmas. Brilliant. I love it, it has small dainty pieces great for every day wear.

Advent Calendar comes in a paper box with pretty Christmas tree design and small windows, which hide different pieces of jewelry. Each piece is securely hidden. Longer necklaces are protected with plastic bag.

You can also open the box and see all of the pieces at once, but you would kind of lost the whole fun part with that. I did that for my review purposes, but only, when I already opened about 8 doors. You can see that all pieces are really dainty and pretty much classic with interesting pendants.

I really like this and I wasn't expecting much. My personal style includes dainty necklaces and bracelets. I also like bangle bracelets and huge statement necklaces. It's really all or nothing with me. I also like to wear earring, but lately I haven't worn them as much. Since I got this calendar I'm falling back in love.

Dainty jewelry is especially nice to pair with every day wear and style. It also looks great with over the top outfits, because it doesn't look too much.

In the upper row you'll get three classic round stud earrings. You'll have a great range of silver, gold and classic pearl like earrings. These really go with everything.

You'll also get snowflake silver looking earrings, bracelet and necklace. They all share this cute detailed snowflake design, which is perfect for this colder season. It will give you some extra sparkle to your outfits and makeup.

Next is also a set of three: earrings, bracelet and necklace with beautiful gold bow design. What can be more pretty and feminine? It looks like you're a gift and it suits all kinds of classic to girly outfits.

You'll also get a set of earrings, bracelet and necklace with gold heart design. Hearts are again one of those pretty, still classic shapes, which will also suit most of outfits and makeups.

I am one of those people who loves to wear gold toned jewelry and I am very happy, that most of it is gold in this set. Snowflakes stole my heart, especially earrings. I don't even care that they're silver.

In total you get 6 pairs of earrings, 3 bracelets and 3 necklaces. Regular price is 25€, but you can now get it for 17.90€ (Slovenia), which is 1.49€ for one piece of jewelry. It doesn't get any better than that. I think the price is actually really affordable now. Sometimes one necklaces can cost you 15€ in some stores, so I find this to be a really good deal.

Jewelry is a mix of some metals, although it doesn't say which, so I can't tell you. It's obviously not real gold or silver.

I don't wear much of silver jewelry, because to me it always seems like it has to be paired with cool toned makeup or clothes. I paired these stud earrings with pink lipstick.

Gold is my colors, because it looks apart with my yellow toned skin tone. I went for something more daring this time and I paired it with chocolate brown lipstick, which has been very popular this year. I think gold looks just as rich as those chocolate tones and they match perfect together.

Pearl like stud earrings are a classic and as such, I paired them with the always classic blue toned red lipstick. You really can't go any more classy than this.

Snowflakes set is a true beauty and the most intricate design out of all of these. It looks so pretty with any kind of classic or even more colorful wintery makeup.

I had these earring in my Whimsical Wintery Makeup post.

Bow set is probably my favorite set of all these. I love bows and the fact that they're gold means I like them even more. It's such a pretty design and it really goes with a lot of different makeups. I still prefer it with something warmer.

Hearts set is another pretty classic design. It does look a bit too girly and not really after my taster, but I can make it work, when I just wear one piece of jewelry. It's definitely more feminine or even girly and it softens any makeup look. I love pairing this with softer makeup looks for that romantic feel.

The jewelry is well made and the clasps work good. I haven't had any problems with color coming off, especially from gold jewelry. All the necklaces are long enough to hand just around or above your sweater collar. I will say that bracelets are a bit too big for my super skinny wrists, but that means it has been developed with different sized people in mind, which is good. I can still make it work.

The concept of this gift set is that you get a new piece of jewelry every month, although I have been treating it more as an advent calendar, so every new piece of jewelry every other day until Christmas. So feel free to get this for someone as a gift, because it's not just for Christmas. If you're one of those who loves dainty pieces of jewelry, I highly recommend you to get this one. The price right now is amazing and all designs are super pretty. If you think not all are for you, you can easily gift wrap the ones you don't like and gift them to others. This way you'll get something for yourself as well as your loved ones.

Briliantno. Vsaj drugi dan nov kos nakita do Božiča.

Vsi kosi nakita so res zelo nosljivi in imajo različne zanimive obeske.

Moj osebni stil vključuje majhne subtilne kose nakita in sicer predvsem ogrlice in zapestnice.

V zgornji vrstici dobite tri klasične sete uhanov z kroglico. Ti uhani res pristajajo k vsemu.

Vsaki obleki in makeupu bo dodal nekaj več.

Snežinke so me popolnoma navdušile, kljub temu, da so srebrne. Še posebej sem navdušena nad uhani.

Vse skupaj dobite 6 parov uhanov, 3 zapestnice in 3 orglice. Ne more biti boljše kot to.

Snežinke so resnična lepota in najbolj detajlen dizajn izmed vseh.
Srčki so še en čudovit klasičen dizajn. Zame izgledajo skoraj malo preveč punčkasto, ampak če nosim vsak kos posebej, izgleda čudovito. Je zagotovo bolj feminilen oziroma punčkast videz. Jaz srčke rada nosim z bolj lahkim makeupom, da doma videzu bolj romantičen občutek.
Nakit je dobro narejen in vse sponke delujejo odlično. Nisem imela nobenih problemov z izgubo barve, še posebej z zlatim nakitom.

Green And Red Christmas Makeup

Hey Beauties!

I usually use gold eyeshadow and red lipstick, because it's what represents Christmas to me. It's also very neutral and classic. This time I also added green on the eyes for an all out makeup look. You can also pair it with neutral lips to make it less colorful, if that's not your thing, but I kind of like it.

I started with eye shadow primer and skin like shade all over the lid. Then I added a bit of taupe brown in the crease and darker forest green in the outer corner of my eye. I added a true dark green shade all over the lid.

I also used the forest green around the lower lash line and then added a true green all over and more toward inner corner. In the center of the lid I used a more yellow toned brown just to give it some more dimension.

In the inner corner of the eye I used metallic silver based green shade. Next was my usual winged liner and then I added glittery gold eye liner all over the mobile part of my lid. This will make it sparkle every time your look down. I finished with mascara and skipped false lashes, because I didn't want to hide all the gorgeous glittery goodness.

On the rest of my face I used foundation with high coverage and concealed any imperfections. I also added some powder. For my definition I used contour kit and contoured my outer edges of the face. I used a very shimmery champagne gold highlighter, because when, if not on Christmas?! I also used my favorite peach shimmery blush to give me some extra glow.

On my lips I used a bright red lipstick with a darker lip liner to give it more of a 3D look. I also tried this look with a tad bit more neutral shade, which is like a dirty mauve pink brown matte lipstick, just to give you another option.

That's my sparkly green and red Christmas makeup look. Fairly simple, but also pretty colorful. What do you think about this? Too much color or just enough?

4 Festive Glittery Manicures with Avon Magic Effect Liquid Sequin Nail Polishes

Hey Beauties!

I hope your home is already sparkly by now. We have a Christmas tree up and all the pretty lights. Today I wanted to share four sparkly manicures for either Christmas or New Year's Eve or just the next week in general. I got these super pretty Liquid Sequin nail polishes by Avon and they seemed perfect editions to the holidays.

First manicure is one of those that I see a lot around the internet, but I was recently admiring it on Mateja's nails. It's pretty simple to do, if you do it right.

I started by painting my nails with a red wine nail polish shade (Revlon Vixen). When it completely dries (I was a bit too impatient), apply small pieces of tape to create the triangle shape on my nails. This part is always tricky on my nails, because I can never make it look perfectly even. Once you have this just paint your sparkly nail polish (Avon Magic Effect Liquid Sequin Dazzle) over it and quickly remove the tape, before the nail polish dries. Voila. Now you can apply top coat and make it even more shiny.

For the second manicure I applied lavender nail polish (Kiko Nail Lacquer 330) on my thumb and ring finger. On my index and pinky I applied dark violet shimmery nail polish (Models Own Roxy) and on the middle one I applied sparkly silver nail polish (Avon Magic Effect Liquid Sequin Sequin).

Then I used the same sparkly silver nail polish and applied it on all purple nails as different sized dots to make it appear as a Christmas tree ornaments. The I used the opposite purple shade and drew strings coming from the upper part of the nail down and I created a little bow to make it look like they hang down. I also drew some really simple wavy lines and dots on the ornaments.

On my ring finger I wanted to create Christmas tree. So I used the same tape as in the first manicure and then I used some smaller decorative nail tape and put some lines across it. I applied sparkly silver nail polish over it and quickly removed the tapes. I also drew a little star at the top with dark violet nail polish. To make it look more perfect, I finished with lots of shiny top coat.

For this one I went a bit more candy or cookie like. I applied brown nail polish (Kiko Nail Lacquer 322) on my thumb and middle finger. On my index and pinky I applied light pink nail polish (Maybelline Colorama 77) and on the ring finger I applied white nail polish (Revlon Nail Enamel White on White).

On the thumb I drew snowflake design with white nail polish. I also added different sized dots to represent falling snow. On my middle finger I drew a wavy line to make it look like a Christmas tree. In between the lines I drew small dots for the ornaments.

For the ring finger I used sparkly pink nail polish (Avon Magic Effect Liquid Sequin Glitterati) and I drew diagonal lines to represent the candy cane pattern. On my other pink painted nails I also applied glittery pink nail polish on the tips of nails to make it look like a frosting on top of cupcakes or something like that. Finish with top coat. It should look yummy and inviting.

The last manicure is the most minimalist and still looks like you put some effort in it. I used black nail polish (Maybelline Colorshow 677 Blackout) on my thumb, index and pinky. On middle and ring finger I applied sparkly gold nail polish (Avon Magic Effects Liquid Sequin Glimmer).

Then I applied matte top coat (Kiko 3 in 1 Mat Fortifying Fast Dry Base and Top Coat) over the black nails. Over gold nails I drew two black lines to represent wrapping paper and then I drew small bows to make it look like wrapped presents. I also applied top coat over these gold nails.

The beautiful sparkly nail polishes are the newest Magic Effects range added to Avon. They are called Liquid Sequin. The range currently has four different shades

Sequins usually look like hexagon shapes and those are in these nail polishes. It looks like sequins in the nail polish with a colored base. Some even have added small shimmer

The formula is in between being liquid and thick and it applies nicely, although sequin parts can sometimes slide over with your brush, so you need to assemble them on the nails and pull them in all directions to make it look even. You do get a nice amount of hexagons with just one coat.

One coat looks more sheer with some, while others are already opaque enough.

Two coats cover the nail, but can also look a bit thick with some of these. The finish is shiny, but also a bit 3D, because of the bigger hexagons.

Glitterati

Glitterati has a pink sheer base. In the base are bigger blue hexagons and smaller silver hexagons, which actually have a multi chrome sheen to them, so they look different colors at different angles.

Sequin

This one is very interesting. It has a transparent base with lots of small silver shimmer. Hexagons in it have different colors: silver, gold, blue, green, pink and copper. This one is actually a bit more opaque because of the small shimmer, so one coat can be enough.

Dazzle

This was the first one that caught my eye. It's the pretties one in the bottle. The base is dark blue purple. In it are bigger pink hexagons and small copper shimmer. The combination looks so pretty, especially over darker nail polishes. This one is also very opaque in just one coat, because of the dark base.

Glimmer

Glimmer is the most subtle of these. It has a shimmery gold base. In it are middle sized silver hexagons with multi chrome sheen. One coat is pretty sheer and two look best, although you can apply just one coat over other colored nail polishes.

They look great on its own or as a statement nail among your other colored nails. They also look really pretty over other colored nail polishes. All of these have pretty sheer bases so one coat is still gonna let the base polish be seen through. Especially Glitterati and Dazzle are great for layering over darker nail polishes. Sequin and Glimmer look better on its own although you can still use it on top. Those have more shimmer in it and are therefore are a bit less seen through. I also like if you apply top coat over them, because it makes them extra shiny and it looks more smooth.

A very pretty glittery effect nail polishes. I hope you liked my manicure ideas. Maybe I gave you some inspiration for today and tomorrow, if you're still deciding what to wear on your nails. Which one of these is your favorite?

4 Day to Night Festive Makeups with Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayons

Hey Beauties!

Christmas is over and now we're thinking of what makeup to wear on New Year's Eve. I have prepared 4 makeup looks in total. There are two day makeups and two night makeups. Both can be upgraded from day to night. Maybe you're working on that day and you can wear a day time version, but before you go out to party, you can upgrade the look to something more night appropriate. One is a silver version and one is gold. Those are in my opinion two of the most classic eye makeup looks. I also paired these with four different shades of lipsticks to give you some variety.

Silver Day Makeup

Silver is one of those shades that will look absolutely stunning on cool skin tones. It actually looks even good on warm skin tones, if you pair it with the right lip shade.

For my day makeup I used yellow skin toned shadow all over the lid to make it easier to blend. Then I took taupe brown matte shade and applied it in the crease. On my lid I used light shimmer silver shade. I also applied a bit of darker shimmery silver in the outer corner of the eye. The lighter silver I also put in the inner corner of the eye. Around the lower lash line I applied the same matte taupe brown shade. Then I just finished with mascara.

I used a bit of contouring powder around the outer edges of the face and I also added slight white based highlighter. For my cheeks I used coral shimmery blush.

On the lips I used light pink shade (Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon - Charming Pink).

Silver Night Makeup

To turn this look into a night time, I started by drawing an elongated eye liner with black pen eyeliner. Then I darkened the outer edge with matte black shade. On the lower lash line I used medium shimmery silver eye liner. I also put another thicker coat of mascara.

I changed the shade of my lips and chose a darker purple shade (Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon - Wild Orchid) to make it look more vampy.

Gold Day Makeup

For all my fellow warm toned people, here is one for us. I love gold every year for every occasion. I think it looks good on absolutely anyone, if you find the right shade for you.

For my day makeup I firstly used yellow skin like shade all over the lid. I applied matte brown shades in the crease as well as around the lower lash line. Gold went on the entire mobile lid and I finished with mascara.

For my lips I used medium toned fuchsia shade (Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon - Raspberry Rush).

Gold Night Makeup

To take this one into the night, I applied a bit more of and also a bit darker matte brown shade in the crease. The gold shade needed to be intensified. I used a damn brush to make it look even more metallic and shiny. I also darkened it around the lower lash line with darker matte brown shade. Of course I also applied my usual black eye liner and another coat of mascara.

On my face I used champagne gold shimmery highlighter and I also contoured my outer edges of the face. For the cheeks I went with my usual shimmery peach shade.

On the lips I went for a classic, but a bit darker red shade (Avon Ultra Colour Lip Crayon - Red Haute).

All the lip products that I used for these four makeups are from Avon and they're called Ultra Colour Lip Crayon. They sent me these a few weeks ago. They already have 6 regular shades, but those four are new editions to the range.

They have giant pencil or crayon design. The packaging is all black with different sized stars on it. One of those are gold and then there are also ones in the same color as the lip crayon. It's super cute.

The crayons don't need to be sharpen, you just twist it up and it comes out. Now that they still have a point, they are very easy to apply. I actually applied them all without the lip brush or lip liner.

The regular price of these is 9.50€, but now they're 4.50€ (Slovenia) and you get 3 grams of it.

Charming Pink

This is a classic baby pink shade. It's warm toned.

Raspberry Rush

Bright fuchsia pink that looks like a very fun shade. It's a nice version between pink and purple.

Wild Orchid

Medium purple shade that has a warm undertone to it. I really like this one. It's unique and especially pretty for fall and winter.

Red Haute

My favorite shade out of all of these. It's actually a bit darker medium red shade. It seems like it has a cool undertone, but it's such a pretty shade of red. I like it because it's not light and not dark.

The texture of these is very creamy. It seems very much like a beeswax texture. They have good pigmentation, but also leave a stain on your lips. You can do a stain look, if you smudge thin layers of these on the lips. If you use it straight from the bullet, it's very pigmented full on lipstick look.

The finish is creamy, but it almost becomes semi-matte after a few hours. I think this might be just on my lips, because they tend to get dry quickly. If yours are not as dry, they might look creamy all the time. They do cling to dry patches and are not the most hydrating formula, but are also not drying. I think those are great for those that want something that leaves a stain, it's very pigmented and still creamy looking.

The staying power is descent. It's not like a matte liquid lipstick, but I find that because of the waxy texture these hold to the lips really well.

I was a bit surprised by how well pigmented these are. Usually pencil lip products are more like stains or lip balms. These definitely give you color as well as creamy shine. In my opinion they are very long lasting for such product. They don't have any additional moisturizing abilities, so I find them great for those that want color. They are also easy to throw in the back and have with you for when you need to change up your look. Definitely a good one, if you want it simple and colorful.

Ene so zlate, druge so v odtenku izdelkov.

Raspberry Rush - fuksija roza odtenek. Precej živahen in zanimiva mešanica med roza in vijolično.
Wild Orchid - srednje vijoličen odtenek. Zelo primeren za jesen in zimo. Precej unikaten.

Če so vaše ustnice v nomalnem stanju, bodo svinčniki ostali kremasti in sijoči.

So kar dolgo obstojni.

Večinoma so taki izdelki bolj lahki in podobni balzamom. Ti vsekakor zagotavljajo barvo in kremast sijaj.

4 Products That Will Make Your Makeup Stay All Day

Hey Beauties!

New Year's Eve is quickly approaching and if you plan to go to any party, you'll need a makeup that will stay on you all through the night. That is why I wanted to share four of my favorite products which help to prolong the wear of makeup. I've tested them out and I definitely see the difference when I use them or don't.

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer

The first product that will help you with your base is this Revlon's primer. I'm on my second bottle, which means I really like this, because I use it only on special occasions. It's a silicon based primer which you put on before foundation. Because it's silicon based, it means that it will make your base very smooth. It fills in all the pores, therefore creating a perfect base for your makeup. It's also a bit sticky and the foundation sticks to it better. This will make your foundation look flawless and stay on for a longer period of time without the shine breaking through. If you are very oily, obviously this won't last on you as well as on someone with normal skin.

In it is 27 ml of product and I think the price is around 15€. The pump is very hygienic and if you don't use it every day, it will last you for a really long time. Review here

Avon Ideal Flawless Eyeshadow Primer

This is an eye shadow primer that I swear by. I must be on seventh pot or so. It's my favorite eyeshadow primer. Using an eyeshadow primer can make a huge difference. First of all it will even out your skin tone on the lid. It will help eyeshadows to stick to it, which means it will definitely prolong the wear of them. It also makes eyeshadows more vivid and it really brings out their pigments making your eye makeup look really pigmented. I find that this one makes especially any Avon True Color Quad eyeshadows a lot brighter and more pigmented looking.

It only comes in one shade, which is Light Beige. The shade is actually very much like my skin tone. It's creamy and very slippery, so it applies with ease, but still evens out the tone.

In the pot is 3 grams of product. The regular price is 6€, but you can often get it for 3.50€.

Here is the proof with the actual eyeshadows. First two eyeshadow from the left are from Avon and the rest are some random ones. As you can see the top half of my hand doesn't have anything on. On the bottom half I applied this primer. I think it's pretty clear where the primer starts.

E.l.f. Makeup Lock And Seal

It's one of the most versatile products. This is clear liquid which seals in everything... eyeshadows, lipstick, glitters, liner.. You can use it over any makeup. You need to pour it into a plastic pot that comes with it and wet the brush with it. Then you take the makeup product and apply it. I guarantee you this will seal in the deal for the whole night. I especially like to use it with glitter, which tends to fall off everywhere, over eyeshadows and cream liners, which can sometimes transfer on the upper lid. I haven't tried it over lipstick, although I feel it would do the same thing.

You get 15 ml of it and it costs only 3$. I have a review of it here

Avon Makeup Setting Spray

To seal the deal you need setting spray as the last step in your makeup routine. It seals in all the makeup that you've put on your face and prolongs the wear of it. I feel like this one from Avon also does a good job of getting rid of too much powder. It helps the skin to look more natural and gets rid of the excess powder look. I will say that I don't think the difference is major, but it does help my foundation to stay matte for a longer time and it doesn't slide as much. I like the fact that it's an easy to use spray with a transparent liquid. It doesn't smell like anything and it doesn't feel tightening on the skin. It just leaves a veil of liquid on the skin, which feels like a protective layer.

In it is 125 ml of the product and the regular price is 11€, although now you can get it for only 4.90€.

These are the products that I reach for when I want my makeup to last for a really long time. I know it's sometimes hard to find setting sprays and primers in our little country, for a reasonable price that is, but I think I gave you some good recommendations for when you'll need something like this. Those products are definitely not necessary, but they do make a difference.

Review: Bynanda BB Cushion Magic

Hey Beauties!

When I browsed through Born Pretty Store, I found that they had BB cushion and I immediately wanted it. BB cushions first came out on Asia markets and they have slowly been coming to Europe, but the trend here is definitely not as big. I really like the concept of it and I wanted to try one for the longest time, but could never find any.

Bynanda BB Cushion Magic comes in paper box. The cushion is actually sealed in silver bag so it's very secure and it ensures you that no one else has tried it. The look of it is like a white plastic pot. It actually reminds me of Polly Pocket. If you're a 90's kid, you'll know what that is.

It opens by pushing small button. On the upper side is a mirror and on the lower side you see small sponge. The sponge is dark blue on the bottom side. This side you dip into the cushion and transfer the BB onto your skin. It also has a small ribbon around it, which makes it easier for you to hold in between fingers. The sponge is very soft and transfers just enough BB.

Under the sponge is another plastic layer. This one opens from the side and under it you find sponge with BB cream. This also has a sticker over it for hygienic reasons. The whole BB cushion pot can also pop out. I think this is probably made for refills. So that you can buy a refill and just change that part of it.

It's one of the easiest systems to use. You just open it, take the sponge, dip it into the BB cushion and apply it on the skin by tapping it on. Literally, the easiest way ever. So convenient and travel friendly. I am not sure how hygienic this sponge is after a while, but I think if you wash it out every now an then, it shouldn't be a problem.

I can't actually tell you what the texture is, because it's obviously in the sponge. I did scoop a little out to show you how it looks like and what the color is. The color I chose is 01 and you can also get 02. You know how hard this is to choose at random over a photo, but I figured 01 has to be lighter. It's actually pretty yellow toned and a bit darker than most of my foundations.

It's very liquid and pretty thin. Once it's blended into the skin, it doesn't look as dark.

I also compared it to some of my other foundations. L'Oreal is the darkest. Bynanda is very similar to Bourjois, but it's a bit darker.

The coverage is light, but can be build up to light to medium. It evens out the skin tone and covers very little imperfections. It doesn't cover redness or any other imperfections. This really is very lightweight. I like to use powder on top of it, which gives me another colored layer and with it I can get to a light medium coverage.

What's unique about this BB cream is the fact that it's very dewy. Extremely in fact. I hope you can see how glowy my face looks in the right photo. It doesn't feel greasy on the skin, it just gives of a very obvious glowy sheen. It's the formula that makes it look so glowy. If you apply colored powder over it you can definitely make it more matte, but it will still have a bit of that glowy sheen coming through. This is not for those with oily skin. More for normal, mixed or perfect for dry.

It smells so good. Sort of like a cream or body lotion smell. Very soft and clean. I love smelling it, while I apply it. The formula is very gentle and doesn't irritate my skin at all.

This is how it looks like on with full face of makeup. It costs 4.99$ (buy it here).

I am really liking this BB Cushion. If you'd ask me if I like BB or CC creams about a year ago, I would said absolutely not. Then I got L'Occitane CC cream and fell in love. Now I got this super convenient BB Cushion and I am in love again. It's just so easy to use. I thought the coverage would bother me, but I got used to it. I like to use it on my good-skin-days. It's light coverage, but still evens out your skin tone. For anything else, I always use concealer anyway. When I use powder over it, it's perfect. It's rare that products impress me so much, but I am almost positive I'll be buying a new one, when I use this one up. Such a shame that European brands haven't started doing more of these, because they are perfect to use on the go.

I also have a discount code for Born Pretty Store. You can get 10% off your order with PETRAH10 code.

* The product was sent to me for review purposes.

I skipped the reviews here, because I wanted to share the posts that show my creative side and the ones that I spend more time doing. My two gift guide posts where almost like my favorite products of 2015. This is a helpful guide for any kind of purchase, not just Christmas. I also loved showing you my most common makeup mistakes. It was so much fun making it. The two manicures that I loved this year were the ones with white matte negative space and blue sweater nails. I really need to do more nail art, because I've been horrible with it this year. For my two favorite makeup looks, I couldn't leave out Fairy of Gold. It was the most fun and glittery makeup ever. When we're on the topic of glitter, my next favorite was green and red Christmas makeup. The glitter sparkled so pretty in person and I felt like a million bucks.

Also thanks to all the brands that have decided to work with me in the past year. I've discovered some amazing products that I probably wouldn't otherwise.

2016 Plans

For the 2016 I am planning on trying some new posts. I would like to write more about the topics that interest me and not only reviews. I would also like to feature monthly favorites, because I don't get the chance to tell you which products I am loving at a certain moment. I also want to do more creative makeups, just to challenge myself.

I hope I'll get the chance to meet more of you lovely bloggers and readers in person, because it's always nice to link the voice and image with the blog.

Oh, I also changed my header photo and a bit of my blog look in general. If I'll have more time, I'll change more. But for now, I really needed an updated photo for my social media profiles.

Enough of my rambling. I wish you all the best in 2016 and may all your ambitions and plans turn out as you want.

Review: H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blusher (Brown Sugar)

Hey Beauties!

When H&M new beauty line came out, it was all over the blogs. It was well raved about and I too wanted to get on board. Opportunity finally arise that I could actually go to the one and only store in Slovenia that carries it. (Seriously H&M, I know we're a small country, but maybe you can add at least second largest city to your VIP treatment?!). I would love to get some more, but that would require me to drive half a country to get to it.

In the store I was astonished by the prices. I always saw H&M as an affordable mass produced products, but the prices were pretty high. Here is the only turn down for me - the prices. The range is huge actually and anyone can find something for themselves. I fell in love with their single eyeshadows, but the price was a bit too high for me to get it at the time. Now I would probably go back. Instead I decided to only take one of their blushes. I choice it over the internet and in the store I confirmed that my decision was right. I got Pure Radiance Powder Blusher in Brown Sugar.

It comes in a black and white paper box.

The packaging is mix of black and gold.  On the top it's black plastic, on the bottom gold and the writing is gold as well. May I say, my favorite packaging colors. It's in the shape of a honeycomb. Very thin and lightweight packaging. Great for storage and travelling

It costs 7.99€ and you get 5 grams of product. When you take in consideration that Milani blushes contain 3.5 grams and MAC brushes contain 6 grams, the price doesn't seem so high. But still, it's H&M and I expected lower prices from them.

The blusher seems tiny in the pan, although it's just the packaging that makes it seem this way.

Brown Sugar is a very unique shade in my collection. It's brownish peach shade and it looks matte in the pan. Once you swatch it, it gives you a very subtle almost unnoticeable sheen, which they call luminous finish. I compared it with some of my other blushes and non have that kind of finish. Milani Luminoso has small shimmer which gives it a glow and MAC Pinch Me (Sheertone) has a true matte finish. I can safely say that I don't have any similar finish in my collection. Saying that, I really like it. It's such a subtle sheen, but still makes it just a tiny bit more wearable and not as dead matte as some other blushes.

I compared the shade with other similar in tone, but found no dupes. Luminoso looked the most similar, but it's a lot peachier.

I love the shade and I love the texture of it. It applies like a dream. It's probably one of my most pigmented matte blushes. I have to knock some of it off the brush or it looks a bit too much. Even though it says that it's sheer coverage, I would say because of the pigmentation it can look bold, so softer brushes might be better option. It is definitely not bright or too in your face, but you will get the color payoff.

Here you can see how it looks like on me. I absolutely love this shade and luminous finish. It's a nice alternative to my usual peach shades and it looks very natural on the face. It doesn't glow and the shimmer isn't seen under the sun, but it still gives you a very healthy looking cheeks.

The thing that surprised me is how well it wears. I think it's one of the most long lasting blushes that I own. I don't notice such things or ever comment on the wear of a blush, but I did notice that it looked the same all through the day. Usually blushes fade on me as the day goes on, not this one.

I am impressed, very. The quality is superb. I like the shade and the luminous finish. The packaging does feel a bit cheap and plasticy, but it's about the content, right? I am still not crazy about the price, but I will forgive them for the blush. It's worth it. Now I have one of their coppery gold eye shadows stuck in my mind and I hope I'll get the chance to go back and get it.

2015 Favorite Products

Hey Beauties!

I thought I wasn't gonna do this post, but I changed my mind. It's nice to feature just a few of the products that were a complete hit with me in previous year. It's the products that I reviewed in 2015, were the most used and would definitely recommend them to everyone.

I decided to group products in one photo to make sure that this post wasn't too long.

By far the best drugstore heat protect spray I've tried. I always blow dry my hair and I like to protect them before doing that, just to save me some damage. This is like a watery milky spray, which you spray and you're done. It's the most nourishing and non sticky spray ever. Seriously the best for anyone who blow drys their hair or uses heat on their hair.

I've been using this for a really long time, but just reviewed it in 2015. It's a basic hair oil. I like it, because it's thick, but doesn't leave your hair sticky. It gives a nice shine and moisture to your hair without weighing them down. Again, one of those basic but always needed products in my hair care. It also smells like chewing gum.

I always say that I prefer high end products for hair, but in 2015 I've been all about more affordable hair products. Which is a good indication that you can get good products for normal prices. This shampoo is very basic, but also good. It doesn't weigh down the hair, but it just gives you enough moisture for the hair to look healthy. It's a nice texture and it cleans the hair without stripping them down and making them feel dry.

The first of many CC and BB creams that actually made me fall in love with those kind of products. I am more of a fuller coverage believer, but this changed it all. It's a thick white cream which adopts to your skin and gives you a light buildable coverage. It dries to a nice luminous matte finish. It looks like a better version of skin. By far one of the best surprised for me personally.

My first ever cleansing oil. If you don't have one yet, this is a good one. It's the easiest way of removing tons of makeup with a bit of oil and massage. If you add muslin cloth to the process it's even easier. It's a great subtle smelling oil which breaks down all of the makeup. In one swipe you're ready for sleep, which is why I love it so much. The smell adds to a relaxing experience.

If you're looking for a multi functional water that can do pretty much anything, look no further. I didn't expect to like this so much. It's a floral water which you spray on your face. I use it as a toner usually. You can also use it as a setting spray or hydrating step in your routine. The thing that makes it a winner for me, it's the spray system. It's so easy. On my lazy nights, I at least have 2 seconds to spray this on for a bit of hydrating, if I don't feel like putting anything else on.

Another first for me. It's the first sheet mask that I've tried. Sheet masks are a fun way of looking silly, while still doing something for your skin. It's so cheap, but works great. It's very moist and it hydrates the skin just enough. When you're done you are left with leftover mask which you massage into the skin. One of the best inventions and masks at an affordable price.

A discovery by Mateja and my new favorite face oil. It's actually multi-purpose, but I use it on my face. This is one of the rare oils that has it all. It smells amazing, it hydrates the skin and it makes it baby butt soft. I love using this at night, because even though it is dry oil, it still leaves a greasy layer on your face.

My new holy grail of face creams. I am probably on my third pot, but I already have a backup in my drawer. I've said this before, if Avon discontinues this, I'll be very angry. It's the best hydrating cream for sensitive skin. The smell is subtle. Texture of it is white and it leaves behind a very dewy glowy finish. I will probably repurchase it forever.

My favorite palette from last year in terms of shade combination. I like that you get a nice variety of shades, but they're all still pretty natural. Pops of colors are not too bright, but a welcome change. The quality is good, but not extraordinary. For the price you really get a lot.

Contrary to Flawless, this one has amazing pigmentation. Probably the best one out of all my palettes (except Sleek). The shades are a nice range of neutrals with lots of browns and taupes. This is like a basic everyday palette that all should own. All that's missing is black. It's shaped as a white chocolate and it even has a nice sweet smell, but not of chocolate.

Shade 3 it's the reason why this palette is in this post. I can't say I own duo chrome shadows, but this one made me fall in love. It's a nice basic brown with a peacock like sheen to it. It's amazing. All the other shades are also very neutral and they go together well, but I love the third one the most.

This palette was my favorite all through the fall. It's a nice combination of plums and they're mostly matte and well pigmented. Which is rare to find. It's just such a nice color combination for anyone that loves plums. I like to look at it as a fall alternative to my usual browns.

The one and only single eyeshadow that impressed me previous year. It's an amazing olive brown. It's my favorite shade of green, because it doesn't look like green. It's very gold warm toned and looks just a bit rusty. I also can't believe how well pigmented is this. If anyone know where can I get more of these eyeshadows, let me know. I'm pretty sure they've been discontinued.

An absolute favorite drugstore find from 2015. Catrice rarely surprises me as positively as with this one. It's a nice medium coverage concealer, which is not too thick. It also feel a bit hydrating which means it's great for under eye area. I have already repurchased it multiple times.

This one is my favorite mascara. It's the only drugstore mascara, which separates my lashes and also adds nice amount of volume. I like mascaras that have volume, but also don't stick lashes together. It's also one of  rare mascaras that holds my curl. This is the main reason why I stick with it. No other non waterproof drugstore mascara does that.

It's a brow and nose powder from Born Pretty Store. The packaging is super cute and small. I like it, because the middle shade is perfect for my brows. It's a nice taupe medium brown. It also stays put the whole day and has a nice pigmentation, but still gives you soft enough effect. A true gem that I've used non-stop since I got it.

The palette has my favorite shade of matte bronzer. I love it so much, because it's quit fair and it doesn't show up too pigmented. It's warm toned so it suits my skin tone. My favorite matte bronzer, which you can see by how messy my palette looks like. I already have a backup.

When I want my face to look more sculpted, especially cheeks, I go for this set. The contour is a really nice light taupe based matte brown. It really puts natural shadow on your face. The highlighter is ok. It's very light and a bit understated for my taste.

My holy grail highlighter and I've discovered it last year. It's the one purchase that I'm never gonna be sorry that I spend a bit more on. The perfect shade of champagne with gold undertone. It's light enough for me and the best thing, it's very glowy. Shimmer is small, but makes a statement. I will never separate from it.

Betty is one of the most amazing shimmery bronzer to use in summer. It looks best on me when I have a bit of tan. If you're skin tone is on the medium side, this will be pure gold for you. It's very warm toned almost orange (so cool tones stay away) and it gives you the most perfect sun kissed bronzy look. In the winter though, it's too much for my fair skin.

These are from Ebay and they're essentially dupes for Real Techniques Bold Metals brushes. It's the best cheap brush that you can get. The synthetic bristles are extremely soft and well glued. Handles are metallic and plastic. I just got them recently, but am using them every day.

A mix of lip balm and moisturizing pigmented lipstick. It's more on the balmy hydrating side. The shade Honey Flower is perfect mix of pink, peach and brown. Almost seems a bit similar to MAC's Patisserie. I really like the formula for when I want something colorful, but shiny.

Avon makes one of the best affordable lipstick formulas and 3D plumping lipsticks were a total hit with me. It's the best formula for dry lips. Offers amazing pigmentation, lip balm nourishment and a bit of tingling sensation (which I don't even notice anymore). They have a sort of satin matte finish. My absolute favorite shades from the range of 15 shades are Berry Cute (wearable plum) and Twig (90's inspired brown).

Probably my favorite nude shade and my most surprising find. It's from Born Pretty Store. The formula is creamy and well pigmented. It doesn't dry out my lips and feel more luxurious than it would seem. The shade is a perfect peachy brown nude.

I finally found my perfect red lipstick. It's warm orange toned red shade. The finish is matte and definitely not as lip friendly as my Avon lipsticks, but the effect is too pretty to turn down. It's my kind of red shade and it's one of those statement lipsticks. When I wear it, I always get compliments.

Avon has been stocking me up with glitter nail polishes and I've been loving it. Mineral Crush is ana amazing glittery line. It's sophisticated with different sized glitter. I see this as a perfect nail polish for when you want to impress. My favorite shade is Pearl, which is a nice pinkish taupe.

This is the latest edition to Avon's glitter nail polishes. My favorite is Dazzle, because it's such a unique mix of shades. It's a purple base with pink bigger glitter and small copper shimmer. Perfect combination and it looks mesmerizing on the nails.

Molten Metals are for those who are afraid of glitter. Those have the smallest shimmer. The finish is almost sand like and the shimmer makes it a bit different. It's a nice ways of adding sparkle, but not feeling too obvious with it. My favorite shade is Copper, which is a warm orange toned gold.

It's a nice transparent top coat with different sized gold particles. It's basically a revamp of their Metal Glam top coat. Since I missed that one, I was eager to get this one. It's the most unique gold top coat and it looks amazing with every possible shade.

This is from now on my favorite nail polish range. I can't say how much I like their nail polishes. You can choose among every possible shade. The texture is creamy, not too thick and not too thin. The brush is regular and they are pretty long lasting. I want them all. My favorite shade has to be 322 Caffe Latte.

Matte nails had their moment before, but I want them at reach every time. This matte top coat turns any nail polish color to a complete matte shade. It dries fairly quickly and the finish of it is completely matte, which is amazing.

I am coconut obsessed lover. This is the best coconut smelling fragrance that actually smells like a very true version of coconut. It's very cheap. If you love coconut, this is an absolute must have.

Another scent that is coconut inspired. This one is actually more on the vanilla side. It's very sweet and I don't use it as a mist, but more instead of a perfume, because it's very strong and long lasting. This mixed with Yves Rocher is heaven.

We've come to the end of my 2015 favorite products. I also wanted to, for the first time, feature some of the blogs that I read the most in 2015. I read a lot of blogs, but I decided to narrow it down to those that I read the most often.

Review: Avon Always On Point Eyeliners (Molten Pewter, Molten Rose and Molten Sky)

$

Hey Beauties!

I've already talked about Avon's Always On Point Eyelinershere and here. Recently they've added three new shades in a new design. I think this is the most brilliant system (self sharpening itself) and the shades are also really pretty.

They come in a shiny black pen form. In the bottom you can see what color looks like. I like their new design with gold writing

The top half or the cap is where the product is in. All you have to do to sharpen it, is just roll it like you would when you want to close it and then at the end twist it in one side. It clicks and when you open it, you have perfectly sharpen eyeliner. Brilliant! It means that you won't need to carry sharpener with you. It's ready for you in seconds to use.

The regular price is 6€ (currently they're 4.50€) and you get 1 gram of product.

It comes in three colors: Molten Sky, Molten Rose and Molten Pewter.

Molten Pewter - Pewter is metal alloy and the name actually nicely represents the shade. It's just as pewter, looks silver, but has a very obvious olive tone to it. It has small silver shimmer in it. This is my favorite shade out of all. It's so unique.

Molten Rose - bronze shade with small silver shimmer. This one is less pigmented than the other two. It's also harder and it need more going over to build up the shade.

Molten Sky - blue silver shade with small silver shimmer.

Eyeliners are firm to touch, but look like a very creamy waxy products. Pigmentation is amazing with one swipe (apart from Molten Rose) and they have a very metallic finish to them. Because of the small shimmer they sparkle and have a very shiny sheen. I find them great for brightening up the eyes and complimenting usual eye makeup routines.

They are also very long lasting. Because of the texture they stick to the skin well and once they're dry they don't move at all.

I also like the fact that they are always sharp, which means you can create a nice wing without too much effort.

Molten Pewter

Molten Rose

Molten Sky

Obviously you can wear these on its own as an upper eyeliner. I find that colorful eyeliners look a bit understated on my very dark eyes and sometimes make me look tired, so I like to mix them up.

Like here, where I applied eyeliner on top and bottom, but also added a thin line of black matte eyeliner to make my eyes look more awake.

I also like using sparkly eyeliners on the lower lash line or even in the inner corner, because it opens up the eyes and makes them look a bit more bright.

Another great way of using these is by applying them only on the center of your lid and lower lash line. They add glowy almost wet like effect.

As the last option, you can even use them instead of eyeshadows. This one can be tricky, because of the waxy formula, they might go into the lines. If you set them with transparent powder, it can help.

I like the waxy formula and the fact that these have a very nice pigmentation. The always sharp system is brilliant and makes it super easy to carry around. Color range is unique and I love Molten Pewter. Molten Sky is also amazing, especially for someone with cooler skin tone or eye shades. I wouldn't recommend Molten Rose, because it's a bit too hard to work with. I am still not sure if it's just mine or if this shade really is less pigmented. Because of the metallic finish they really brighten up the eyes and can be a nice addition to your usual eye makeup.

* Products were sent to me by Avon.

So v obliki svinčnika  z črno svetlečo plastiko.

Molten Pewter - ime (kositer - kovinska zlitina) dobro opisuje odtenek. Je srebrn odtenek z olivnim podtonom. V odtenku so tudi majhne srebrne bleščice. To je moj najljubši odtenek izmed vseh.

Molten Rose - bronze odtenek z majhnimi srebrnimi bleščicami.

Molten Sky - srebrno moder odtenek z majhnimi srebrnimi bleščicami.

Eyelinerji so trdi na dotik, ampak imajo precej kremasto voskasto teksturo. Zaradi majhnih bleščic so precej sijoči.

So zelo obstojni.

Pamper Guide - Collaboration with Sabina from Sabinina Perspektiva

Hey Beauties!

Pamper guide it's all about the products that I like to use, when I want to pamper myself. What is pampering for me? It's using and doing routine, which I can't or won't do on dally basis. I wanted to show you what products I like to use and why. With every product there will be a mini review.

It's a a collaboration post with one of my best friends and fellow blogger Sabina. She and I met at a college and have been inseparable all through the college years. (Yes, I technically still have to write my Master's degree, but that means I no longer go to college anymore.) She is the one person that understands all my crazy sides and let's me be myself. I love her easy going nature and the fact that she gets my sarcasm. She is probably the only person that I know, that likes to complicate stuff more than me. Recently, she revamped her blog, so I encourage you to read some of her reviews, try her healthy recipes and get some style inspiration. She has a blog called Sabinina Perspektiva (blog is only in Slovene).

I've broken products into certain groups, so it's easier for you to read.

Avon Pink Magnolia Bubble Bath

It's very rare that I have time to make myself a bath. In all honesty, I can't remember the last time that happened. But if (I really need to do it this month!) I finally decide to bathe, I love using Avon bubble baths. I have Pink Magnolia scent, but my cousin got herself Winter Berries and those smell so nice. Usually they had more floral scents than fruit, but that's changing. I like their bubble baths, because the actually produce bubbles, unlike some other products I've tried. I like to pour it right under the pipe where the water is coming out, this ensures you the bubbles. Yes, they do fade after a while, but you can always add more. The smell is also a nice edition to your relax time.

Garnier Oil Beauty Oil-infused Nourishing Scrub

I remember when this came out it was almost on every blog. I didn't get the hype back then, but I just got it recently. It's a really nice scrub. I like the nutty oriental scent that it has and the rough sugar like scrub texture. It's like a gel with sugar scrub in it. It smells divine and it definitely does make your skin super soft. I take this one out for special occasions, because I can't be fussed with it on daily basis.

Alverde Beauty Oil

This oil is amazing. I have it for quit a while. Before this I had the one that's coconut scented. This version contains five oils: argan, amaranth, olive, marula and grapseed. The bottle and the pump is superb as with the coconut version. It's a heavy glass bottle and the pump is perfect. You can control the amount of it and it doesn't spill product all over. Oil is yellow toned and obviously very greasy, but feels quit lightweight on the skin. It's not like most of the natural oils, which you have hard time spreading around your skin. This one is very runny and it spreads easily. It has a somewhat unnatural scent in my opinion. I can't really define it, it's almost a bit nutty. I like it though. My whole room smells of it after I use it. I also love the fact that it's very non irritating on my skin. Always a plus. I apply it all over my body and then wear my PJ's. In the morning the skin is super soft and nourished.

100% Organic Cocoa Butter and 100% Organic Coconut Oil

Oh my God! This is all I can say about this product. I know a lot of brands do their versions of cocoa butter, but combination with coconut oil is a dream come true. Think of Bounty chocolate. This smells exactly like it. I mean it, exactly. The smell is just so unique chocolaty and coconuty. The texture is very solid and butter like. It's a white color and does not move. The application can be a bit harder to scoop out, because of it. You need to scrape it out with finger or nails, but once it touches the skin it immediately melts to an oil. I get the most joy out of the application. Scraping the butter out and the melting it between fingers or on my body just makes me so happy. It leaves a greasy finish, but it absorbs into the skin through the night and leaves you with hydrated and supple skin. This is a local pharmacy brand from Slovenia. I got it as a gift.

Avon Planet Spa Amazonian Treasures Hydrating Face Mask

When I want to pamper myself, I use my "higher priced" masks. I've already talked about some of Avon masks. Recently I got me another two for a very low price. This one smells like a men fragrance to me, because it has cedar, which is common men fragrance note. It also contains eucalyptus. It's like a clay mask that really cleans your skin and makes it look nicely plumped. Herbal scent is quit relaxing.

Avon Planet Spa Herbal Steam Bath Deep Cleansing Clay Face Mask

It's hydrating masks in a form of gel. It smells amazingly of berries. It has berries as ingredients and Brazilian acai. This one is pure pleasure to use, because it smells so sweet fruity. I have only used it once, because I just got it, but I already like it. It does give you a bit of hydration, although don't expect anything like a heavy cream.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-purposed Dry Oil

I've also talked about this oil already, so I won't go too much into details. I've established this oil as a nightly routine, but I still think it's a pamper product. Because it's multi-usage you can use it for your face, body or hair. The smell of it is unique luxury oriental nutty like. It's a dry oil, which means it's not as greasy as natural oils are. It doesn't absorb fast, but it does really hydrate the skin. I call it the overnight miracle, because it plumps and hydrates the skin through the night.

Full review here.

DIY Hand And Food Scrub

I also wanted to mention a hand scrub that I got from Sabina last year or was it previous year?! It can be used as a hand or foot scrub. It's amazing. I've never seen a better DIY scrub. It starts as rough sugar scrub and then it becomes like an oil cocoa powder dream. It smells divine, like cocoa powder and it really makes your hands super soft as well as nourished, because of the oil. DIY recipe you can get here.

L'Occitane 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream

After all that scrubbing it's nice to put on something moisturizing. I really like this hand cream, because it's more greasy than usual hand creams. It still absorbs very quickly, but leaves you with a velvety butter finish. I also like it that it stays on your hands even if you wash them. It's because of the shea butter which really clings to the skin.

Lidl Scented Candle Nature

What's more relaxing then a nice burning candle? I love candles and I love burning them all through the year, except summer. That would just be a torture. I like to call this one my cheap Yanke Candle Soft Blanket version. Soft Blanket has a very sweet and fairly strong scent. Lidl's is a softer more natural sleepy fresh cloths kind of smell. It's very subtle and sometimes you don't want to overload yourself with strong scents when you're relaxing.

iLight Sweet Dream Vanilla and Coconut Candle

If you're a coconut lover, this is another one of those products that you need in your life. It doesn't smell very promising straight from the glass, but once you starts burning it, it's such a unique sweet coconut scent mixed with sweet vanilla. I wouldn't say it's very true to real coconut, but it's very unique in a way. I am not sure where you can find this brand in other countries. I bought it in Spar.

Hofer Scented Candle Winter Dream

Recently, I've been more than loving Hofer scented candles. One scent in particular - Winter Dream. It's something like a mixture of cookies and pines. It's sweet, but also a bit woody or spicy even. Perfect blend. It makes the room smell really nice and wintery, so seasonal appropriate.

DM Profissimo Christmas Cookies Scented Tea Candles

This is another favorite scent of mine. It smells like baked cookies, almost like a ginger bread cookie. I get it more as a vanilla mixed with cinnamon cookie. Those are tea candles and I like that instead of a metal cup they have a plastic transparent one. It looks prettier to me. They make my room smell like a cookie land and the size is perfect for spreading around your bath. They are also super cheap for a pack of 18 candles.

L'Occitane 15% Shea Butter Foot Cream

I got this foot cream from Sanja. She said that she mistakenly got it instead of hand cream, which turned out good for me. I don't really own any foot creams, so I was intrigued. After a bath or shower I like to apply this heavily on my feet. Now, I never really have a lot of problems with hard skin on my feet, so I can't say if it works. My feet are definitely nicely moisturized and this one again has that greasy layer over it, which I really like. It smells a bit like herbs.

Soft Fuzzy Socks

Soft fuzzy socks are a must have for a pampering night. I love taking a shower, applying oils and then getting into PJ's and putting on nice fluffy socks. It's keeping your warm and even making your feet super soft, if you apply cream on them before going to bed. Sometimes feet can get really cold. It's just one of those cozy products. I think I got mine from C&A, but lots of stores have these.

Planet Spa Sleep Serenity Pillow Mist

Pillow mist is definitely a pamper product for me. I don't use this every day. You can also just use it to spray the room with it or bathroom, while you're relaxing. This is obviously made for you to feel relaxed and make you fall asleep easier. The smell is described as lavender and camomile, but I almost smell camomile more. It smells like a luxury soothing cream. This is so easy to use and instantly targets your smell sense. One of those unnecessary products, but one that makes a difference.

Full review here.

These are some of my favorite products to use when I want to pamper myself a bit. It's nice to take time for yourself. Be it beauty routine or anything else, it helps you to feel better about yourself and relax. I need to encourage myself as much as I will you, to do this at least once a month. We have to pamper ourselves sometimes too.

Go check out what are some of Sabina's favorite pampering products. She is the one who loves face masks, scrubs, foot baths and all that. So I am sure, she'll have some amazing products for you.

Review: By Nanda Three Color Blush (S01)

$
0
0
Hey Beauties!

By Nanda is a brand that I found on Born Pretty Store. I already reviewed their BB Cushion, which I absolutely loved. Today I'll talk about their three color blush.

It comes in a very cute paper box with cupcakes on. Cupcakes are actually my favorite sweets to bake. You can always count on cute Asian packaging.

The blush is made of pink plastic with transparent lid. It's actually huge for a blush. It's almost bigger then my compact powders.

It costs 3.99$ and you can get it here.

It's a baked blush, which means it should have great pigmentation and would also last you for a long time. I chose the lightest shade S01, because I really wanted something subtle. I have so many pigmented and bright blush.

This shade has pink, light gold and orange stripes. All of the shades are light, but not as light as I expected.

I swatched all the shades separately and then all together. So from left to right it's: pink, gold, orange and all together.

Pink is quit warm toned and the least pigmented. Gold is very light shade and could almost be unnoticeable on my fairly light skin. Orange is actually the most pigmented, but it's light and looks more like peach. It's also the most shimmery. When you swirl them together you get a coral shade, which is more peach than pink. Because orange is the most pigmented it also stands out the most.

I am in love with this blush shade. It's the lightest blush shade I own. I love the fact that it has small shimmer in it, which makes it look very healthly glowy. This is especially nice for those colder days when blush instantly makes you look plumped. I almost think of it as highlighting blush. Gold shade could easily be a highlighter. Mixed together you get a highlighting blush and you can skip two steps and just do one in your makeup routine.

I also decided to compare it with Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso (which is my favorite blush ever) and I can say that the finish is similar. Luminoso is a lot more pigmented and actually has bigger sizes of shimmer than By Nanda. By Nanda has  really tiny shimmer, but looks a lot shinier than Luminoso.

I hope you can see how softly flushed and healthy this looks on my cheeks.

I will say the pigmentation is not impressive. But that's also the reason why I love it. I don't love the building up (it could bi a tad more pigmented), but I love the fact that this means I get a very light shade on my cheeks. If you want something super pigmented, this is definitely not for you. I see it as a very sheer formula.

I really like it, because it is what I expected it to be. Very light, surprisingly shiny (almost highlighter like) blush. I also don't mind that it's more peachy than coral, because I prefer peach blushes. It's not super pigmented, so if you're looking for pigmentation, this is not gonna do it for you. But if you love Luminoso and highlighters and you have a light skin tone, then you'll love this.

If you'll be buying from Born Pretty Store, you can also use my code PETRAH10 and you'll get 10% off your order.

Silver Metallic Eyes With Mauve Lips

Hey Beauties!

I've been really liking more edgier and darker looks recently. I guess winter just caught up with me. It's the gloomy days that are forgiving and let your wear as much makeup as you want without looking too out of place with the nature. I decided to do silver grey eyes with warm brown crease and paired them with pretty mauve matte lips.

I started my eye makeup with matte beige base. For the crease I used a mix of matte browns and later I darkened the outer corner with darker brown.

Then I applied steel silver on the inner half of the lid. On the outer part of the lid I used darker more grey silver. Around the lower lash line I repeated the same steps and I also applied matte white shade in the inner corner.

I did a very thin black pencil liner and then I tried to smudge the line a bit with black eyeshadow. I finished the look with mascara and no falsies. Wanted it to look more natural and that you'd be able to see the metallic silver eyeshadow.

On my face I used foundation and concealer. Then I set it with powder. I also used powder contour shade and contoured a bit. For my highlight I went with something light, but a bit pink toned and sheerer than usual. On the cheeks I used mauve light dust of blush.

I wanted to make my lips a bit more colorful, so I went for a pretty matte mauve shade.

Silver is not really my color, but I can make it work with other warm shades. I always like to apply matte warm brown shades in the crease, when I'm using cool toned shades on the lid. It balances it out for me. I also like the pop of color on the lips. Usually I would just go with nude lips.
