Review: Kiko 3D Hydra Lipgloss - 27 Pearly Lavender

Matte lipsticks have been really popular and many swear by them, but I love a good shiny lip just as well as matte. Kiko recently came out with a new line of their 3D Hydra Lipglosses and because I am crazy about glittery products, I had to try at least one.

Kiko lip gloss comes in a rounded and wide plastic packaging with silver detail. I definitely like wider and flatter packaging as it stands out from other classic ones (Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor has similar shape). It looks luxurious and simple as do most of Kiko products.

In it is 6.5 ml of product and the price is 7.95€

It has fluffy doe foot sponge applicator that is curved to fit the lips. It also hold most of the product at the back of the applicator. You can bend it to fit lips better. It applies lip gloss evenly.

Kiko has a whooping selection of 30 different shades. There are some shimmery ones and some without the shimmer. I was attracted to 27 Pearly Lavender, because it had a mixture of gold and silver shimmer. The base is pastel lavender, but when you apply it over lipsticks it doesn't change it much, just makes it slightly lighter. It gives it lots of high shine.

On the lips on its own it gives them a slight cool lavender shade with lots of silver sheen that almost makes the lips look metallic. Shimmer is really saturated and with one swipe you get a lot of it on the lips. This is definitely one swipe application lip gloss.

This shade on its own doesn't suit me best, because it's quite cool toned and a bit too pale for my complexion, that's why I always apply it over other lip shades. If you have fair cool skin tone this would look amazing on your.

If you blot it down, you're left with only lots of shimmers that still sticks to the lips. That's why I always remove it with an oil cleanser to prevent spreading shimmer all over my face.

My favorite way to wear it is to apply lipstick on the lips as a light stain and pat it on top and in with fingers. Then I apply lip gloss over it. It gives you the shade of the lipstick with amazing shine of the lip gloss.

Formula is thicker and a bit sticky, which I am used to with lip glosses. It's not like that old school annoyingly sticky, but you can definitely feel it on the lips as you smack them together. Because of that it also sticks to the lips better and is quite long lasting for a lip gloss formula.

Unfortunately it doesn't have any impressive scent to it. It's more chemical, but not that noticeable.

It wears lovely. I think I like lip gloss formulas so much because they make lips feels so comfortable, protected and nourished. This one never dries out my lips and it feels nourishing and comfortable

If you apply it lightly over a heavy coat of lipstick, you almost can't notice shimmer in it, it just gives your lips a high shine gloss.

If you're a lip gloss fan, you'll love Kiko 3D Hydra Lipglosses. They have everything that a classic lip gloss should have. High shine, slight stickiness and are so comfortable to wear. You also have a wide range of color selections. I chose the shimmery one, because I love shimmer, but you can also chose normal formulas. 27 Pearly Lavender isn't exactly what I expected it to be. I thought that it would have a more neutral sheen, but there's definitely more silver in it and cool toned lavender base doesn't really suit my skin tone. I do love it over other lip colors, but if this has a brown base, I would adore it.

It's been a while since I last posted my new in products and since I am always buying something new, I decided to include all my new products in this a bit longer post. I already have full reviews of some of these products, so I won't go too much into details.

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer - 10 Rosywood Hills and 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon

I've heard positive reviews of Catrice's new nail polish line, so when I saw them on offer 2 for 1, I chose this set that seemed to be the most popular, as there was only one left. 10 Rosywood Hills is a lovey mix of mauve and brown shade. It's quite unique in my collection. That's the only one that I've tried so far. The formula is pigmented, creamy and it applies lovely. You could almost just do one coat as it's that pigmented. I can't say how well these wear, because I don't have them on my nails for so long, but I've heard they are really long lasting. They also have wider rounded brush with which I can make my application look extra nice with as little effort as possible. I love these kinds of brushes. 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon looks like the perfect wedding shade as it's a light beige. I can't wait to try it out.

Kiko Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara

I bought it because it was on sale for 3€ something and because KathleenLights can't stop raving about it. It's apparently her favorite mascara, so I am curious to try it out. It has weirdly shaped wand as it has longer bristles at the end and at the tip, but in the middle the bristles are shorter. I haven't tired it yet, because I don't like to have too many opened up mascaras at once.

Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencils - 513 and 524

These are such a delightful cheap products as they only cost 2.50€. I chose two very bright shades, because I'm usually scared to buy such lipstick shades and since I don't use them on a daily basis. Pencils are always great for trying out crazy colors. 513 is bright, almost a bit neon, orange shade. This is going to be perfect for summer. 524 is a bright fuchsia shade with a cooler undertone. These have a creamy formula, but it's still hard enough that you can make a good outline of the lips.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - Berlin

I've been trying to get my hands on this particular shade for so long, but it's always been sold out in the actual stores. Thankfully, I finally found it in Douglas and I was so happy. It seems like I knew that this would be my new favorite matte brown shade. It's a true chocolate brown shade that gets even darker as it dries down. On me it looks quite dark and it accentuates my pale complexion, but I absolutely adore this shade. These also have my favorite liquid moussey and non-drying matte formula.

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Beautiful Brunette

Batiste is my favorite dry shampoo, because it's the only one that makes my hair look and feel less greasy. I am not too keen on the white residue, but I just brush it out and it doesn't look that bad. This time I got brunette version. Supposedly this one doesn't have that white dust. It was also on sale. I haven't tried it yet.

Etude House Sheet Masks - Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramide

I've been really liking using sheet masks and trying to test different Korean brands. This time I got two from Etude House. So far I've only tried out the ceramide one. It has thin sheet, it's very saturated with milky white essence and it makes my skin really nourished and moisturized. This was probably the most nourishing sheet mask I've tried so far. My skin was super smooth and plump looking.

Misslyn Beach Please Bronzing & Contouring Powder - Holiday Hooray!

I already have a review of it here. It's a really nice matte bronzer that is not too dark for my skin tone. It has a bit of sheen so that it doesn't look too powdery and it lasts quite well on the skin. I also love this vintage inspired packaging.

Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer - Bronzer

This has quickly become my new favorite bronzer. It has such a buttery formula that supposedly contains murumuru butter. It's a joy to apply as it's well pigmented, blends out well and looks so natural with the slight shimmer in it. It actually looks more sheeny than shimmery. The shade Bronzer is perfect for my skin tone. It's warm toned and light enough, but you can build it up. It also has the most amazing pina colada scent. Full review of it will be up soon.

Nabla Eyeshadows - Caramel, Petra, Clementine and Pegasus

I also aready have a review of these shades here. Nabla eyeshadows impressed me, especially the matte ones. Shimmers don't have as much payoff as I would like them to. Caramel is my new favorite warm crease shade. Petra is my ultimate favorite redish brown for all over the lid. Clementine is gorgeous mandarin shade with gold sheen. Pegasus is unique lavender base with golden sheen. I would definitely want to try out more of their matte shades in the future, but I prefer shimmery shades from Zoeva, as I like them to be buttery and super pigmented.

Colab Dry Shampoo - Paradise

It didn't impress me as much as I thought it would. It doesn't leave any white residue, which is a big plus, but it also doesn't degrease my hair as well as Batiste. This is lovely for adding a bit of texture or fluffying the hair up. It's more for those days when you can't decided if your hair needs a wash or not. For days when I need something to make my hair look less greasy, I prefer Batiste. It also has a fun tropical fruity scent.

Oval Face Brush

I bought this because of Mateja's recommendation as she loved it. The quality of the brush is better than I would have expected. Hair is really soft, but dense enough for you to smooth out the foundation with no problem. It's a bit bulky to maneuver around small corners of the face, which means makeup sponge is better for this precise application. This brush is great for when you don't have time to do your makeup. I've been in that rush and it really works then. It's quite big and you can apply foundation in a matter of minute. I have a problem, because the handle bends a lot, since the head of it is quite heavy. That's why I'm always scared that I will break the head off of the brush, if I apply too much pressure on it. But I usually just hold it by the head like a Tangle Teezer and then I don't have to worry about bending.

H&M Makeup Sponge

I have a full review here. Hands down, the softest makeup sponge that I have ever tried. It comes in a super cute packaging for only 3€. I don't think I need to say any more. Buy it!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - 51 Light Vanilla

Bourjois Healthy Mix is definitely one of my most skin like looking foundations. It's also the most dewy one (apart from Missha Perfect Cover BB) and because of that I usually just use it more in the winter time. Since my old formula was coming to an end, I decided to buy another bottle. This time Bourjois decided to change their formula. I've already tested both a bit and I haven't found huge differences. Basically I feel like the new formula has a bit lighter coverage, it looks a bit more dewy and for some reason 51 seems to turn out darker than the 51 from the old formula. 51 is too dark for me as it is, so I usually mix it with other foundations anyway. That's why I need more time to properly test it out, but I can't say I adore the change.

Afrodita Clean Phase Cleansing Gel

Trying to find the perfect product for a second cleanse has been a struggle. I really can't figure it out. I want something that is non drying, but also doesn't make my face feel greasy. I usually prefer gel formulas for warmer weather, so I bought this gel by Afrodita to try it out, since it was the most convenient one to get it in the store and not too pricey. Yeah, I have a problem spending too much on products that I just wash away. It's a cleansing gel for all skin types. Gel is transparent, it leathers well and has soft fruity scent which for some reason reminds me of apricot. I have to say I like it. It's very basic, but doesn't dry out my skin or make it feel squeaky clean, which I hate. Among the ingredients is also hyaluronic acid which should help skin feel more moisturized after the cleanse.  Unfortunately, I already broke the top, so I had to transfer it to another empty bottle.

L'Oreal Elvital Tonerde Absolue Anti-Shuppen Shampoo

L'Oreal has been a really nice surprise in the hair department. For some reason, that even I don't know why, I've been staying away from drugstore hair brands. But since I started using a lot of L'Oreal shampoos, I figured out that they're all better than I would have expected. This is anti dandruff shampoo from their clay line and it works just as you think it would. It cleaned my scalp well, got rid of dry dandruff and it doesn't leave my hair too stripped down. It's definitely more of a clarifying shampoo, because you need to use some sort of conditioner after it to make brushing easier. It has lovely green apple fruity scent like Fructis.

L'Oreal Elvital Tonerde Absolue Pflegeshampoo

It's a shampoo from the same clay line, but this one is for greasy roots and dry ends, which is my hair type. I've been using this one before I tried the anti dandruff one and I liked that one too. It didn't feel as clarifying as the other one. This one feels more like a regular good shampoo that washes out the dirt and leaves the hair still kind of smooth. I feel like this one made my ends more moisturized, but it didn't make my roots any more oily than they would usually be. It didn't really prolong the time of not washing my hair, but it's a nice basic shampoo. It also has that same fruity scent.

Avon Little Sequin Dress*

It's a new fragrance by Avon that has joined their Little Dress line. This one has a very fruity sweet scent to it. It's also kind of strong in the beginning, but then it turns into a more subtle sweet blend. I'd say it's a mix of spring floral and strong summery fruits.

Avon Luxe Eyeshadow - Glamorous Roses, Avon Luxe Eyeliner - Grey Strut and Avon Luxe Mascara - Brown Caviar*

I already have a full review of all of these products here. I really like colors in eyeshadow palette and mattes are especially nicely pigmented. I like eyeliner as it's a fun grey color with silver shimmer and it also lasts well, if you apply it thinly. Mascara is a chocolate brown color that I like, but it didn't impress me with its volume and definition.

Avon Advance Technique Absolute Perfection BB Shampoo and Leave in Balm*

I already owned this whole range of BB hair products and I have a review here. It seems that they only changed the packaging and I'm assuming the product is the same, so I won't be writing a separate review. Shampoo from this line was lovely. It lathered well, cleaned well and didn't leave my hair too dry, but also wasn't moisturizing. Just a very basic shampoo with nice hair salon scent. I didn't like leave in balm at all. In general, I don't like leave in products by Avon, but this one made my hair crunchy. It definitely isn't one of those moisturizing silky smooth treatments, it's more for adding texture. But for that I like texturizing sprays not leave in products. In my opinion the hair mask from this range was definitely the best.

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying - Body Scrub, Body Butter, Face Mask, Face Scrub, Gommage Face Scrub and Face Brush*

I like Avon Planet Spa face masks, because they are never too harsh on the skin, don't make it too dry and they have different options for different skin problems. I received a whole Perfectly Purifying range that is based on dead sea minerals. I love products that have anything sea in them, as they usually work really nicely with my skin. So far I've tried everything but the face scrub and face brush. I have to say, I like everything. Body scrub is liquid with rougher particles that exfoliate the skin well without being too rough. Body butter is soft enough to scoop it out easily, but it still has that buttery base. It's not too greasy and it's more for warmer days. Face mask is a great basic clay mask that makes my skin slightly brighter looking right after I take it off and it brings impurities to the skin's surface. I already had gommage face mask and I liked that one too. It's basically like a quick chemical exfoliant that leaves your skin's surface smoother.

Revolution Strobe Highlighter - Ever Glow Lights*

I already reviewed it here. It's one of those more subtle highlighters with very light warm golden base and tiny shimmer. This is perfect for that subtle sheen on the skin that looks like it's part of the skin. I really like it.

Freedom Makeup All Day & Night Eyeliner - Dangerous Games*

It's a very creamy silver eyeliner with silver shimmer. It's not as pigmented and you need to go over the line a few times. It's so creamy that it could easily be a cream eyeshadow. That means that it's great for smoky eye looks and for smudging it out.

Freedom Makeup HD Pro Refills Pro Eyeshadow Colour - 07*

I was very disappointed with this eyeshadow. Before I got it, I saw a few reviews of these eyeshadows and most said that they have great pigmentation with the exception of certain shades and I think 07 is one of those. I have to rub it to get anything off. It's too hard to swatch and once you do scratch it off, it doesn't stay on the lids as well. It's a light pink that has lots of shimmer in it and that shimmer falls off the lid throughout the day. I'm assuming that this is one of their worse eyeshadows and that others are probably a lot better.

Cherie Lashes - Extra Lovely*

I also already wrote a review of these lashes here. If you're looking for something quite natural, but a bit more voluminous and longer, than you'll love these. They have a natural looking overlaying design. On the lids they feel lightweight and I love that the band is invisible, which makes them easier to apply. You can wear them many times, if you make sure to clean them well after each use.

MuLondon White Chocolate Truffle Moisturizer*

It's one of those versatile moisturizers for every part of your body. It has a buttery consistency as it's quite hard in the pot, but melts under your fingers. Essentially, it's a mix of natural oils and herbs. Among these you'll also find cocoa extract, coconut butter and Tahitian vanilla extract which make this the most yummy smelling cream ever. It literally smells like white chocolate and I love it. For some this might be an all over remedy for dry skin, but I've also been using it on my face in the evening and in the morning my skin is well nourished, soft and plump looking. It's also great for hands and cuticles.

itStyle Makeup*

In our city just opened up a brand new makeup store and it's the only store of this brand in our country. Imagine my surprise, as no new makeup brand comes to out part of the country - ever. Seems like companies are starting to figure out that our part of the country can offer more than just your average Slovenian buyers. We have Croatia, Hungary and Austria borders so close, that you'd be fool not to take advantage of it. I went to the store opening with a fellow beauty blogger Neža. Lovely PR lady approached us and gave us some goody bags filled with their products, so I've been testing these lately. So far I can say that the packaging seems too cheap for the price tag. Some products I liked and some didn't impress me. I really like their blushes (good pigmentation, long lasting), lip pencil (great pigmentation, not drying), matte lipstick (not a proper matte finish, lasts well and applies smooth), brow pencil (perfect shade for my brows, good pigmentation) and lip gloss (good basic formula, not too sticky, great pigmentation). I'll have a full review of these products in a separate post and there will also be a giveaway.

Review: Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer - Bronzer

$

0
Bronzer is my must have makeup product and I use it almost all year around, but definitely in the spring, summer and fall. It's an essential for someone with light skin tone, because you can add warmth to your face and bring out the contours so you don't look too flat. I feel like bronzers do for fair skin what highlighters do for medium skin. It just gives it life.

I've heard so many rave review of new Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer. Before that I didn't own any of Physicians Formula products, because I find them a bit expensive. But the bronzer sounded so good that I had to try it. I have tons of highlighters, but not one proper bronzer that I would be happy with.

It comes in a paper box with description, how to use and ingredients list. The plastic lime green and dark green packaging with transparent lid is quite bulky. It also has tropical leaf design all over it.The design is pretty, but I would prefer a thinner packaging.

In it is 11 grams of product and it costs 12.92€. I bought it on iHeb, because it was the cheapest. Btw they also have shipping saver on this product, so you pay only 3.39€ for the shipping.

You open it up by pushing the button in. It clicks into the place and it's securely closed. On the top layer you'll find wavy 3D design of bronzer. You can open that layer up and in the bottom you'll find and odd sponge applicator. On the upper side of this compartment is also a small mirror. I could easily do without the mirror and that additional compartment. I don't use the sponge applicator, because I much prefer fluffier brushes for bronzers.

Here is the ingredients list. Physicians Formula states that the bronzer is infused with murumuru butter. They say that this bronzer is a mix of cream and powder formula. It should melt into the skin, give you lasting hydration and give you lit-from-within glow. It has ultra refined-pearl and soft-focus pigments that should smooth skin's texture, brighten skin tone and give a gorgeous bronze finish.

I chose it in the shade Bronzer, which is the darkest one. They also have a lighter one called Light Bronzer. This is definitely a bronzer for light to fair skin tones. If you have medium skin tone, this might not make any difference apart from giving you a subtle glow.

Bronzer shade has a grey undertone to it, especially if you look at it in the packaging. Because I have a warm light skin tone, it looks warmer on me. It has that typical warm orange shade with just a hint of grey in it. Which means it doesn't only give you warmth, but it also gives you a bit of definition or almost contour. But in general this is very warm toned on me.

It also contains tiny little shimmers. I am first to admit that I'm a lover of matte bronzers and anything that has shimmer in it usually scares me. But the shimmer is really small and it just gives the skin a lovely natural looking sheen. It really looks like it's part of your skin.

I also compared it to my other bronzers. Misslyn Beach Please! Bronzing & Contouring Powder in Holiday Hooray! is darker, also warm toned and looks a bit more redish toned. It has slight sheen, but you can't detect any shimmer. Physicians Butter Bronzer in Bronzer is as light as Kiko's, also warm toned, but has more of a peach undertone. It has the most shimmer in it and the best looking sheen - apart from theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer. Kiko Flawless Fusion Bronzer Powder in 01 Natural Tan is about as dark as Physicians', but is even warmer, more yellow toned and has that slight sheen as Misslyn. Betty Lou-Manizer is essentially a highlighter for dark skin tones, but I use it as a shimmery bronzer topper. It's the most shimmery, copper toned  and the most orange. Also the darkest of these all and has an obvious golden sheen to it.

Formula of this bronzer is a dream. It's ultra buttery under your fingers, but looks like a powder once you apply it on the skin. It melts into the skin like a dream and it blends just as well. It has great pigmentation and I always go in with a light hand. I usually use a fluffy brush and apply small amount and brush it on the skin. It's better to build it up slowly. You can apply it really lightly to the point when you almost can't notice any difference. You can see how this looks like on the bottom photo. On the left I have just foundation and on the right I applied a very small amount of bronzer all over.

If you apply it lightly, this could be great for fair skin tone. You can apply it more and it will still suit light skintones also. I'm about NC15 and consider myself a light skin tone.

For my personal taste, I like to apply it a bit heavier, because I love the warmth that it gives me. The shimmer in it gives it such a healthy looking sheen and doesn't look greasy at all. It also stays on the face through the whole day. I find that it fades very little.

Another benefit of this gorgeous bronzer is the scent. It has quite strong pina colada scent. To me it leans more toward pineapple, but I get a hint of something tropical like coconut as well. It instantly makes you happy as you're applying it and start dreaming of summer holidays.

If you're looking for a buttery bronzer that will give you natural looking sheen and is no fuss to apply, then you need this in your life. I adore the buttery formula. It lasts well on the skin, matches my light skin tone, gives you natural glow and has gorgeous tropical scent to it. This is definitely one of the best bronzers I have ever tried.

Review: Avon Little Sequin Dress Eau de Parfum

$

I already have a few of Avon Little Dress fragrances and I have a review here. This is a range that features simple square bottles with variety of scents. There's something sophisticated, classic, fresher, ultra sweet and now something spring sweet. With the addition of Avon Little Sequin Dress you'll get something for those of you that like sweet fruits on sweet woody base with a hint of florals.

The bottle is a transparent square glass with transparent plastic top. Details are gold. In the back of the bottle is a design of sequins to represent its name. Spray pumpworks well. It comes in a paper box with a light pink design and silver sequins.

It's eau de parfum and in it is 50 ml of product. Regular price is 26€. Currently it's on offer for 20.50€ (Slovenia).

Avon describes this fragrance as a blend of mandarin, mango (top notes), gardenia, tropical flowers (middle notes), sensual musk and essence of the gold amber (Base notes). Fragrantica also listed sandalwood as one of the base notes.

The first splash of this fragrance gives you a very sweet fruity punch. I definitely smell mandarin and a lot of mango sweetness. Second after the first splash you get that floral note, which quickly turns into a more tropical scent like a mix of tropical fruit and flowers. After a while the fragrance turns into a sweeter woody one that really brings out all the classic base notes that I usually love so much in other fragrances.

If I had to describe it, I'd say that this it's a sweet tropical fruity floral fragrance. The base is quite sweet, but most of the time you get that strong scent of mango and hints of florals.

This scent starts off really strong, to the point where it's almost a bit too strong for my liking. It quickly fades away to a more subtle scent, but it's definitely not as long lasting on me as some other Avon fragrances.

If you like tropical scents of really sweet tropic fruits mixed with hints of florals, you'll definitely love this one. To me this is perfect fragrance to wear as the weather transitions from spring to summer. There's that floral note that's so commonly used for spring fragrances mixed with sweet tropical fruits that remind you of summer holidays. Combination of both gives you a quite strong scent which fades through the day fairly quick. It's a fairly basic sweet tropical fruity floral scent that sweet lovers will appreciate.

Detalji so v zlatih odtenkih.

Avon opiše dišavo kot mešanico mandarine, manga (zgornje note), gardenije, tropskih rož (srednje note), senzualnega mošusa in esence zlatega jantarja (spodnje note). Fragrantica navaja še eno izmed spodnjih not in sicer sandalovino.

Cvetlične note so pogosto uporabljene v spomladanskih dišavah. S sladko mešanico tropskega sadja me spomnijo na poletne počitnice.

Just Peachy!

I've noticed this spring that almost every makeup company came out with their peachy coral version of eyeshadows. Too Faced Sweet Peach palette came out last year, then Colourpop brought out their nectar collection and it seems like peach and coral shades are becoming more popular not just for the lips, but also for the eyes. I am a true lover of peach and orange shades, so I wanted to share one of my favorite makeup looks - which I call peachy makeup. Even thought it's more orange peach.

I started my eye makeup with eyeshadow primer and a bone colored matte shade. For the crease I used light warm brown. Then I added warmth with a yellow toned matte brown. In the outer corners I deepened it with warm redish medium matte brown.

On the outer part of the lid I used copper orange shimmery shade. On the inner part of the lid I used slightly lighter and more yellow toned peach shimmery shade. For the inner corners I also used peach toned shimmery shade, but a very light one. I did my usual winged liner with a liquid pen liner.

I applied mascara on the lashed and added natural looking false lashes to give this look a bit more depth, as all the shadows are quite light and monochromatic.

On my face I used a mix of foundation and BB cream and concealed with a concealer. I also used powder to lock it in and make it look a bit more matte. For the bronzer I used a warm toned shade with natural looking sheen. I also highlighted with a champagne gold highlighter. As a blush I used shimmery orange peach shade that complimented my eye makeup the best.

Because this is a very monochromatic look focusing on peach orange shades, I also used a peach toned lipstick. Firstly I used a very light pastel peach lip liner and because it was almost a bit too light for my skin tone, I went over with a matte light peachy liquid lipstick.

I love monochromatic looks. In my opinion you can always look well put together if you use shades from the same family. Peachy orange is my favorite color and I love it as a blush, eyeshadow or lipstick. To combine it all in one, makes it even better.

Review: Essence The Cushion Eyeliner - 01 Black

$

I've seen cushion blushes, foundations and lipsticks, but never before have I seen cushion eyeliner. Essence jumped on the cushion trend and decided to make their version of eyeliner in a cushion system. Catrice also has similar cushion eyeliner. I went for the Essence once, because it was cheaper and I thought that both were pretty much the same, since they're made by the same company.

It comes in a small glass pot with black plastic top. I make sure to screw the top on well to prevent it from drying. Inside is a textured cushion that holds the product which is basically black liquid.

In it is 3 ml of product and it costs 3.29€.

The cushion is like a soft sponge that has drank up the liquid. This way you have a liquid trapped inside a cushion so it doesn't spill and it stays fresh

Color 01 Black is a black color. It's not ultra black, but black enough for my liking. As soon as you dip the brush into cushion eyeliner, you get pigmented swatch with one swipe.

At first it's liquid, but it dries down very fast. Which means you have to be quite quick with application, because you don't have a lot of play time. That wouldn't be a problem, if it didn't mean that it dries on the brush as well which makes the brush stiff and not bendable anymore. That's why I usually use multiple brushes with one application. I'm a perfectionist and can't pull of winged liner in one swipe.

You can choose among thin pen like liner brushes or use the ones that are wider and have diagonally cut bristles. I personally prefer thin pen like ones, because I get more precision with them. If you're brush is frayed, the application will be difficult. Gel liners usually coat the brush and prevent the bristles from looking frayed, but this cushion liner acts like a pen formula, so it just soaks into the bristles, but doesn't really stick them together. It also means you'll have to clean the brush after every use.

It's definitely not for beginners. You have to be skilled with application in order to get the perfect winged liner.

I compared it to my other liners. Catrice Liquid Liner in 010 Dating Joe Black is the only one that's a proper matte shade. It's the blackest and more blue toned black. Clio Kill Black Brush Liner in Black is the most similar in the shade. It's black, but not ultra black. Clio Kill Black Pen Liner in Black is slightly darker.

Essence Cushion Eyeliner looks like a mix of Clio Pen and Brush Liner. It has good pigmentation and just slightly gets into the cracks of the skin, but not as much as usually pen liners do.

As much as I love liquid formula that is pigmented and glides on like a dream, I hate that it makes the brush stiff and dries so fast. Fast drying time is good for those with hooded eyes as it won't transfer. It's also very long lasting. I even sweated my ass off in the gym and it didn't move at all. The finish is slightly sheeny, not matte, but also not as shiny as some other eyeliners.

The scent is artificial and kind of chemical.

Here you can also see how it looks like on my eyes.

I love the liquid formula that gives you an amazing precision with the right brush. It's well pigmented and has nice black color. It's also very long lasting and smudge proof. I hate that it dries ultra fast and makes the brush stiff. It's also quite hard to find the thinnest brush possible in order to get the precision that you usually get with brush liners or pen liners. The product itself is great, but I just find it too much of a hassle to put it on. Regular pen and brush liners do the same in a much more convenient form.

Review: Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipsticks - Rouged Perfection, Pink Passion, Rose Awakening

You know my love of Avon lipsticks. They have the best formulas for the best prices. I already have a review of whole True Colour Perfectly Matte Lipsticks collection. Recently, Avon added three new shades to the range. This is my favorite matte lipstick formula, so I am really excited for new shades to be added to this line.

New shades are more or less different pink tones. The range had a lot of bright pinks, but these are more muted pinks. I'd say you'll find a pink for really fair skin tone, for those that don't like true pink and for those that like brighter pink, but don't want it to be too vibrant.

Design is the same as with others, so a matte black packaging with silver details. The only difference is that my old ones have transparent lid on the top where you can sort of see the shade inside and these don't. I don't mind that, because I store them upside down, with name stickers up, so I can find the right shade quicker.

In each is 3.6 grams of product and the regular price is 8.50€. Usually, you can get them a lot cheaper. Currently they're on offer for 4.50€ (Slovenia).

Rouged Perfection - warm peachy pink. It's one of those pinks that will appeal to all of those that prefer warm peach and brown shades. It's still pink, but has an obvious peach undertone. This shade might look really different on different skin tones. On some it might look more pink and on some more brown. It's my favorite from these three. On me it leans more towards warm pink shade with peach base.
Pink Passion - cool light pastel pink. It's a more white based chalky pink and it would look amazing on really fair cool skin tones. From all the three shades, this one looks the most chalky on my lips, like it's not as even and smooth.
Rose Awakening - warm medium redish pink. This is a darker shade than the other two and it's also the most vibrant one. This pink seems like it has red base to it. I really like this shade on me. It's not one of those really vibrant pop of shades that you'd save for special occasion. It's more of a vibrant wearable shade.

Formula is still the same. The most smooth silicon like and well pigmented. The least pigmented seems to be Pink Passion, which can look a bit sheer, but it's so light, that it's not even that noticeable. I love how lightweight it feels on the lips and the fact that it never dries out my lips. Formula is really comfortable to wear. It transfers and is not as long lasting as proper liquid matte lipsticks. Since I have dry lips in general, these wear on my lips for a really long time. Up to 4 hours without touch ups.

They have fruity summer scent that I love.

I also prepared some comparisons for you with other Avon lipsticks. I actually don't have any other brands of lipsticks that would be similar to any of this shade. Rouged Perfection is a a unique mix. Pure Pink (Perfectly Matte) is as light as Rouged Perfection, but a lot cooler and more proper pink without that peach undertone. I actually thought that it would be similar to Peach Flatters, but it's nothing alike. Peach Flatters (Perfectly Matte) is a lot darker and more redish. Revitalising Raspberry (Supreme Noursihing) is a sheerer formula, but it has more brownish redish base. Although it also looks kind of peachy pink at first glance.

Pink Passion is another unique pastel pink. There isn't any shade that would be similar to it. I just swatched it next to Posh Petal, to show you that Posh Petal (Perfectly Matte) is lighter, really cool and definitely a more lavender shade.

Rose Awakening is another unique shade in my collection, since it's vibrant, but not too dark. Peach Flatters (Perfectly Matte) is actually kind of similar in shade, but it's more peach toned, just slightly darker and a bit more vibrant. Rose Kisses (Mark Plump It) is a more mauve pink tone and it's a bit more muted shade, not as vibrant.

Now onto the fun part. Me trying the shades on and giving you an idea on how it looks like against my NC15 skin tone.

Rouged Perfection

Pink Passion

Rose Awakening

The formula is the best smooth formula of matte lipsticks for those that don't like drying lipsticks. They wear comfortably and are long lasting. You can choose among wide range of shades. Now there's also a perfect wearable pink for different skin tones. I adore Rouged Perfection. It's quickly became one of my favorite nude pinks. This is a shade I can rock on a daily. I also adore Rose Awakening as it's vibrant, but not too in your face and it also goes with everything. Pink Passion is more of classic cool pink and it's not something that I would wear a lot, but it looks great with a soft pink makeup look. Or something a bit cooler in general.

Poznate mojo ljubezen do Avonovih šmink.

Novi so veliko bolj umirjeni.

Rouged Perfection - topla breskvasto roza.
Pink Passion - hladno svetlo pastelno roza.

Izredno gladka, podobna silikonom in dobro pigmentirana.

Review: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation - 51 Light Vanilla (New Formula)

$

I've been using Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation for years now. It's my go to winter foundation as I tend to get drier in colder months and need something with a more dewy finish that doesn't catch on dry patches. But I've never actually wrote a review of it. So now that Bourjois changed up the formula, I decided it's time to write my thoughts on it. I also compared it to the old version to see if there is any difference between the old and new formula.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation comes in a transparent glass bottle. It has red transparent plastic top and pump

In it is 30 ml of foundation and I paid 15.49€ for it. Apparently Bourjois has been raising their prices constantly through the years. So the price might already be higher. Really shady of them. If they think we won't notice, they're obviously wrong. Don't underestimate your costumers.

The pump works fine and you can sort of control the amount that you want by pushing the pump slowly and just getting as much as you'll need out of it.

Old bottle was rounded and looked like cylinder. It also had transparent top. The pump stayed the same. I like new design better, because it's easier to store and looks a bit cleaner with new typography.

I had old version in the shade 51 Light Vanilla and I bought new formula in the same shade. It's actually the lightest shade that we have in our drugstores. Apparently there's also one shade lighter - 50, but I hear it's more pink toned.

I expected the shade of new formula to be the same as with the old, but it's not. It's actually slightly darker. Barely noticeable, but still, it counts. Especially, if the shade is too dark for you as it is. You can see it being a shade or half darker and it looks more orange toned. It's a warm toned shade that has an obvious yellow undertone. It's actually the most yellow toned foundation in my collection.

Here is comparison with other shades of foundations in my collection. Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream 21 Light Beige is the most grey looking, but it blends into the skin differently and looks like a good match. Revlon Colorstay Foundation in 150 Buff is also warm toned and similar to old Bourjois version, but is less yellow based. Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation in 010 Light Beige is the darkest of these all and also warm toned.

New formula is liquid and smooth. It applies nicely and feels very buttery. The coverage is light to medium. If you apply it lightly it's a light coverage, but you can build it up to a somewhat medium coverage by applying more coats. It evens out skin tone, but doesn't cover imperfections.

The finish of it is dewy on my combination skin. It's definitely not for those with oily skin. It starts to look greasy on my T zone after three hours. I prefer to use it in the winter when my skin is drier in general. This would be great for those that have normal to dry skin or combination.

It's not a long lasting foundation. As I said before, my T zone gets very oily and it disappears from those center parts quickly. I usually apply a heavier coat, which makes it slightly more long lasting. I also have to powder it and I use powder on top of every foundation that I use anyway.

On the skin it looks lovely. It doesn't sit into pores or fine lines. I liked older version, because it never emphasized dry patches and this one seems the same. It's definitely one of the most natural looking foundations that I own. It doesn't have that powdery heavy finish and it actually looks like it's a part of the skin not just sitting on top of it.

It has a fruity sweet scent

Here you can also see how I look like with no foundation (left photo) and with a light layer of new Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation (right photo).

Comparison :  OLD VS. NEW FORMULA

I also decided to test old and new formula side by side. So I applied one formula on one side and the other on the other side of my face. I've noticed that new formula has a lot lighter coverage. With it I only evened out my skin tone, it didn't even cover small veins or any redness. The older version has better coverage more light to medium, while new has light coverage. Both versions are buildable and don't look cakey, if you apply more coats.

They both have a very shiny finish, but the new one looks more dewy, while old one looks more like it has a sheen.

Both look very natural on the skin and don't emphasize pores or fine lines.

I already spoke about the difference in shades. New formula is slightly darker and has more of an orange tint to it, while older version looked more yellow toned and slightly lighter.

They both wear the same with the only difference that my side with new formula became greasier quicker, which means it's also a bit less long lasting.

The thing that bothers me is that old version had ingredients list on the bottle and the new one doesn't. Hm..I wonder why this change. In general, I prefer the old version. Even thought at first glance they both seem the same, you see the difference while you test them side by side.

Old version had better coverage (which is one of the most important advantages in my opinion), it wasn't as dewy looking as the new one and it was slightly lighter. I usually mix it with other foundations, because it's too dark for me in colder months and now the new one is even darker.

I can't say I'm a fan yet. I despise orange undertones like L'Oreal foundations usually have and I don't like dewy finish, because it means it's not as long lasting. It's great for winter when I need that extra moisture and shine, but for warmer months I usually just use it in combinations with other foundations to make them more yellow toned. It's the perfect foundation for those that want natural looking, lighter coverage and dewy finish foundation. So perfect for dry skin tones. That is if you find the right shade for you.

Review: Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil (513 Red Papaya, 524 Peony Violet)

$

Kiko is one of my favorite makeup brands. Their products are affordable and usually of great quality. I just wish we had it in our country. Whenever I got to Graz, I tend to stop by Kiko and pick some new products. This time Limited Editions didn't impress me, but I did saw colorful lip pencils and decided on two colorful shades.

Smart Fusion Lip Pencils come in matte black pencil form with a black plastic top. I really like the fact that the top is rectangular, which prevents the pencil from rolling down the desk. It sits better this way. It's also easier to take photos of. If you're a blogger, you know what I mean.

In each is 0.9 grams of product and the price is 2.50€ for each. It's not as affordable as for example Essence lip liners, but the price is still good.

I chose two very bright shades, because I usually just have a lot of red and nude lip liners. Sometimes you also need something colorful to use with lipsticks that have unique colors. It's also the cheapest way of trying out bold colors, because lip liners cost a lot less than a whole lipstick.

Formula of these is actually really smooth. They glide on the lips with such ease. That being said they are not buttery feeling nor moisturizing. Finish is completely matte, but they are just so easy to apply. Usually matte lip colors tug on the lips or can look heavy. Not these.

The pigmentation is good. You will need to go over a few times to get it opaque as a lipsticks, if you want to wear them on their own.

I usually wear them on their own, because they are enough pigmented and I love the shades as they are. I need to reapply it in the center after about 2 to 3 hours, which isn't really long lasting. But I prefer that, because it means that they don't dry out my lips and don't look heavy.

They feel just slightly sticky at first, but lightweight and they wear quite comfortably. These will emphasize dry patches like most matte lip products.

513 Red Papaya

This is by far my favorite medium orange red shade that I own so far. It looks more muted on the photos, but in real life this almost looks a bit neon. It's a really vibrant shade. It lifts up the complexion immediately and makes for a perfect summer lip.

524 Peony Violet

It's one of those light pops of colors. Light cool toned bright fuchsia that has a bit of blue undertone. It's also a unique shade in my collection and it's the perfect pop of color for the spring. I love these kind of shades, even though I don't wear them as much.

Here is also a comparison with some of the other shades. MAC in Lady Danger is a more red shade and also darker. CBI Colorbox in 06 Lip Stick (from Born Pretty Store) is very similar in shade. It's just slightly darker, less vibrant and has a shiny finish.

Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte lipsticks in Ideal Lilac is a more pink toned fuchsia. It's as light as Kiko's lip pencil, but doesn't have that obvious blue violet undertone.

I am head over hills over these shades. That's why I can forgive the fact that they are not ultra long lasting. The formula is so smooth to apply, pigmentation is good and it has lovely matte finish that isn't drying. If you're on a look out for bright lip shades, look no further. Kiko has a whooping selection of 36 shades. You'll also find nudes among the selection, as well as bright ones as these.

Review: Barry M Coconut Infusion Nail Paint - Flamingo

$

I got this nail polish as a gift from my lovely friend. Coconut Infusion line by Barry M has been on my wish list for obvious reasons, the coconut word in it. I love everything that has to do with coconut and this formula supposedly contains coconut oil and coconut water which should hydrate and nourish nails as well as give them lovely peach color.

It comes in a rectangular glass bottle with brown plastic top. In it is 10 ml of product and the price is around 7€.

It has just slightly wider rounded brush. I really like these rounded designs, because it makes it so easy to apply it around the cuticles. You just press it down and swipe it three times to cover the entire nail.

It's a creamy formula that applies with ease. I always apply two coats of any nail polish, but you could eventually apply just one thicker coat with this one. It had good pigmentation

Here you can see how it looks like with just one coat on the left and then I applied a second coat on the right photo. The difference is minimal.

The finish has a lovely shine and you almost don't need to use top coat over it. They also recommend to use it without the base coat for better results. The formula also contains Hexanal which should make your nails stronger.

My friend chose the shade called Flamingo. I was confused at first, because I thought flamingo animals were pink. Guess what? They're not. They are actually salmon peachy colored. I guess you learn something new every day (damn pink inflatable flamingos... making me feel stupid).

Flamingo color is light muted peach shade. On me it turns more orange, because of my warm skin tone and because it applies slightly darker than it looks like in the bottle. It's a perfect summer shade or even spring, because it's a bit more muted and not as bright.

It lasted well on my nails, for about three days. Which is a descent amount on my nails. It's definitely one of the better formulas as far as pigmentation and wear goes.

This line has a wide range of nudes as well as some pops of color. Recently they've added some bright almost neon shades to the range which are perfect for summer.

I really like creamy, pigmented formula of this nail polish. The brush makes it so easy to apply and it lasts a descent amount of time. I didn't notice my nails being more nourished or stronger, but then I usually don't believe that regular nail polishes can transform your nails. For that I use my treatment base coats.

May 2017 Favorites

May has been a month of buying new products and testing them out. I also brought some of my old favorites back into my rotation. The weather is getting hotter and I changed up my skin routine, because my skin usually gets a lot oilier in hotter months. So there's a bit of everything in my favorites this month.

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Body Scrub With Dead Sea Minerals

I love this scrub, because it has liquid consistency and contains combination of bigger and smaller scrub particles. The scrub is not too rough for my skin. I love to use scrubs in hotter months, because you obviously show more of the skin than in the winter. It has a manly fragrance scent to it, which sort of reminds me of herbs and woody notes.

MuLondon White Chocolate Truffle Moisturizer

It's a multi-purpose moisturizer for the face and body. Ingredients are mostly butter and oils. The smell is just divine. It smells of white chocolate and I love that. Usually natural skin care tend to have not so pleasant scents, more herbal and such. But this one is a treat. I use it instead of other face oils in the evening and everywhere on my body that I have flaky skin. Usually on my hands, which tend to get really dry. I will have a full review on my blog soon.

I usually use day cream from this range, but that one is very greasy looking and gives you an incredible glow. Glow that I don't need as much now that the weather is warm. My t-zone quickly becomes oily looking, so I started using the gel version. It does the same thing, feels very moisturizing, but not as greasy as daily cream. It also feels lighter on the skin. This is definitely one of my favorite hydrating creams for warmer days.

I won't loose my words over it. It's been in my April favorites and it's also in my May favorites. This is just my favorite bronzer so far. It has that perfect warm undertone with a hint of grayness in it. It applies so smooth and blends well. The finish gives you lovely natural looking sheen with tiny shimmer in it. Just amazing formula and I am so glad I bought it.

Oldie, but a goodie. This is one of my favorite blushes ever. It has that perfect warm light peach shade with tiny shimmers that give your skin a beautiful sheen. It can be applied very sheer or more pigmented. I love the shade of it and that soft shimmer that gives your skin a natural looking sheen and it blends so well with Physicians Formula bronzer. Perfect summer blush.

I just posted a review of it recently and it's the one pop of color on the lips that I've been loving on my lips this month. This shade is probably my favorite orange red shade. It's really vibrant, to the point that it almost looks neon. Formula is smooth and glides on with ease. It's not the most long lasting, but I forgive it that.

ItStyle Lipgloss - 10

For a lip gloss, this has great pigmentation. Shade 10 is a light chocolate brown that just goes with everything. I love brown lip shades. Formula is lovely. I like a good comfortable lip gloss and this one is just that. It's not too sticky, not heavy, but just feels like a moisturizing hug on your lips. It also has nice shine. One of those on the go effortless products.

It's probably my new favorite pink nude shade. This is actually one of the rare pinks that has peach undertone and looks kind of warmer on me. It's such a lovely unique shade and I love this formula in general. It's ultra smooth to apply, doesn't dry out my lips and lasts a long time.

Avon True Colour BB 7-in-1 Nail Enamel - Lilac Love

I already have a nail polish from the same line in the shade Caring Creme and it's one my favorite nude nail polish shades. Lilac Love is a pastel very light lavender purple. It's the perfect spring shade. Apart from liking the shade, I adore this formula, because it's really long lasting. In fact it's probably one of the most long lasting nail polish formulas that I own. This can easily stay on my nails for 4 days, which is a lot. If my nails are in good condition, it would last me a week. But I do have problems with chipped nails and I spend a lot of time in water. It also has nice pigmentation and a creamy formula.

Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer - 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon

Perfect nude nail shade, if you're looking for something really light and warm toned. This one is almost white, but has that beige undertone in it. I am in love with a rounded wider brush that gives you easy and quick application. It's never been easier to apply a nail polish around the cuticles. The formula also has good pigmentation and this one lasted on my nails really well. About 3 to 4 days with no chipping, which is a lot. I used it without the top coat, which I assume means that it will last longer. Because I tried another shade with base coat and it didn't last even 2 days.

Review: I Heart Makeup Eyeliner (Dangerous Games) & Freedom Makeup Pro Refill Eyeshadow (07)

$

A while ago I got some new products by Freedom Makeup, I Heart makeup and a highlighter by Makeup Revolution, which I already reviewed here. Today I am posting a review of the other two products. The eyeliner and a pro refill eyeshadow.

Freedom Makeup recently came out with their Pro Line of HD Pro Refills Eyeshadows which I assume is intendant to be used for professional use. Or at least for a regular costumer to create their own eyeshadow palette. I like the idea of it, because you can choose your shades and make your own color combination.

The pro refills come in a plastic transparent box with a black cardboard box on the outside. Eyeshadow is well protected

In each is 1.2 gram of product and the price is 3.49€ on Ličila.si

Shade 07 is a light pink with lots of white and pink glitter. I heard that some shades from this line have amazing pigmentation. This one must be one of the worse, because I had to scratch off the top layer to get anything out of it.

Texture is hard to the touch and somewhat dry. You have to really dig in to get anything from it. It's definitely a more transparent shade, as all you get off is a pink sheen and lots of shimmer. I don't like hard to the touch eyeshadows and I certainly don't like to build it up to get good payoff.

It looks pretty applied on the lid, but it also means that the glitter can start falling off if you don't have a good sticky base underneath. It's a very romantic shimmery shade.

It's not all that long lasting. Through the day it fades. If you use eyeshadow primer underneath, it won't crease. Which I do with all my eyeshadows anyway.

I Heart Makeup eyeliner comes in a pencil form with black design. It's one of those need to sharp pencils.

In it is 1.25 grams of product and the price is 3.95€ on Ličila.si.

I got it in the shade Dangerous Games which is a medium gunmetal gray with silver shimmer

Formula is very creamy. It could actually be cream eyeshadow, that's how creamy it is. Pigmentation is weak. It's a transparent shade that you have to build up in order to get full opacity. Again, not something I would love to do.

Because it's so creamy it's great to smudge out, but you still need to really built it up in order to look good. Once it dries it actually stay in place and it didn't transfer on my lids, but if yours are very greasy, it might.

I love soft and creamy eyeliners, but this one is too much even for me. You really need to apply a lot of it in order to look opaque. It does look pretty on the eyes, for sure. But it's just too much work.

None of these impressed me. I like the concept of refills and individual eyeshadows by Freedom Makeup, but my shade 07 just didn't deliver. It's hard to the touch, you have to almost scratch the shade off and it's just too much work. Too bad, because the pink shimmery shadow is actually really pretty. Maybe go for some other shades, if you're curious. I also didn't like I Heart Makeup eyeliner, because it's too sheer for an eyeliner. It's also a bit too creamy for my liking and I mostly just hate the fact that you have to build it up in order to look opaque. Thankfully, it lasts well, because this could easily look horrific - cream that transfers to upper lid.

Review: Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying With Dead Sea Minerals (whole range)

There are a few products by Avon that I really like. First are definitely their lipsticks. I also love their eyeliner formulas and eyeshadow quads. As far as the skin care goes I adore their fun smelling shower gels (even though they are not nourishing), bubble baths and I also really like their Planet Spa face masks. I haven't tried any other products from the Planet Spa line, but face masks are great, because they are never too drying and are in general gentle.

Perfectly Purifying range is based on dead sea minerals. I love products with anything sea in it, because they just work well with my skin with tendency to allergies. So I was intrigued to try out this range.

Face masks and face scrub all come in a squeeze tube with grey design. They have plastic opening that can crack, if it falls down. So not the sturdy ones. I love squeeze packaging, because they are the easiest to get the product out and the most hygienic

I already have a review of it here, because I already purchased it a while ago. I feel like I still agree with my review from back then, so I won't talk about it much. It's just a fun mask that uses chemicals to smooth skin's surface. It's also really gentle. That being said, the results are not outstanding, like if you would use chemical exfoliators every day, but it's a good one for those that are afraid of using acids on the skin and want something gentle for once a week.

In it is 50 ml of product and the regular price is 11.50€. Currently it's on offer for 4.90€ (here).

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Face Mask

This is a basic clay mask that should clean up your pores. It has thicker grey creamy consistency that dries down to that clay finish, but what I like is that it doesn't overly dry out the skin as some other clay masks do. It's easy to spread on the face and easy to squeeze out, but it sticks to the skin well.

It makes the skin looks slightly brighter right after you wash it off. Pores look cleaner and slightly smaller. But the effect obviously doesn't last a long time. It doesn't remove blackheads. I feel like this masks cleans out the pores and brings the dirt to the surface. For example, if you have pimples that are just forming, you can pop them after using this mask. I also love the fact that it doesn't leave the skin too dry, like some other clay masks tend to.

It's a good basic clay mask. Once I used it in the hot bath, which prevented the mask to dry up, but it also helped me to open up the pores and my skin looked amazing after it. It's a good tip, if you want the best out of your face masks.

In it is 75 ml of product and the regular price is 11.50€. Currently it's on offer for 6.90€here.

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Face Scrub

I expected something totally different from this product. I was sure that inside is a transparent gel with rough scrub particles. It's a actually a thicker white, almost whipped butter consistency or a thicker cream, with small white scrub particles. It looks so similar to a butter and it feels like a nourishing cleansing balm. It goes on the face in a thick layer and it's actually quite gentle, but still effective.

When you scrub it in, you can feel it as a peeling product, but it's not too rough. After you wash it off, it leaves the skin feeling nourished and not at all dry. Skin's surface is smoother, it looks slightly brighter and pores look smaller

I am not fond of regular face scrubs, but this one is great. It's so nourishing, buttery and just rough enough. I think Avon should make a cleansing balm based on this formula, because it would be amazing.

In it is 75 ml of product and the regular price is 10.50€. Currently it's on offer for 6.90€here

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Round Face Brush Plus Cap

It's a brush that should be used on a face. It has transparent pedestal that can stand on its own and a transparent plastic top that you put over to protect it. The bristles are also transparent and remind me of a rough tooth brush.

Let me just say that this is too rough for my sensitive skin to be using it on my face. In fact, I think it's too rough for any skin, period. I would probably use this in a giant form on my body, but never on my face.

The regular price is 5€.

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Body Scrub

It comes in a transparent plastic big pot with a white plastic screw on top. It's a bit awkward to use, because the lid is so big and you have to fit it perfectly to close it. I think it would work better in a tube packaging.

It's a gooey gray liquid gel with transparent bigger scrub particles and small black particles. The combination of two sizes of scrub particles makes it quite rough. I like that it's more liquid, because it's easier to spread all over the body

Once it comes in touch with water it leathers and comes off easy. It definitely makes the skin smoother and doesn't irritate my skin, but gives you a good scrub. I like it. Especially the fact that it's easy to spread on the body.

In it is 200 ml of product and the regular price is 12.30€.

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Body Butter

It comes in a cute glass jar that reminds me of those rustical yogurt packaging or pickled food. It also comes in a large card box with gray design

It has thick white cream consistency that is a true body butter consistency. You have to scoop it out of the jar and it's a bit harder to spread on the body. I usually squish it between my hands and try to spread it on my hands and then on my body.

Once you massage it into the skin, it leaves a white cast and you really have to massage it in well. But it doesn't feel or look greasy. It sort of forms a protective layer on the skin. It's lightly moisturizing and not rich in any way, so it's perfect for warmer months. But it definitely gives the skin a better look, a more nourished and moisturized feel.

In it is 200 ml of product and the regular price is 13.50€. Currently it's on offer for 8.90€here

All the products have a fresh and sort of woody fragrance to them, which reminds me of men fragrances. Some may not like it, but I actually find it kind of spa like and it doesn't bother me at all.

I like both face masks. Gommage is very gentle and perfect for sensitive skin to smooth the skin's surface. Clay mask is a good basic clay mask that cleans out impurities. I also like the face scrub, because it's ultra gentle. If you're looking for something rough, this is not for you. The face brush is a total no for me and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I love the body scrub as the liquid texture makes it easy to apply and it's just rough enough. I also like body butter, but would actually use it more in the warmer months. It's a more lightweight formula and not for those that need a lot of moisture.

Avon Planet Spa Perfeclty Purifying Gommage obrazna maska

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Face Mask

Pore so bolj čiste in rahlo manjše.

Avon Planet Spa Perfectly Purifying Face Scrub

Tropical Palm Leafs Nails

The tropical palm leaf design has become really popular. I really like this design on cushion covers and other home decor products. Tropical designs also tend to flood clothing stores as soon as warm weather comes. It's colorful and very much summery. I wanted to recreate this design on the nails as it seemed really easy to make and it is.

For the base I chose and off white shade, because it looked the most neutral to use with all the green shades. You could also use a pink base and make it more colorful.

I decided on using three different greens to create different colored leafs. I chose a very light almost lime green shade, a true dark green and a petroleum green to give it some more dimension. Then I used a striping brush and drew two lines to mark where the leafs will be. I started drawing the leafs by creating different colored strokes. It's really easy to make and looks good without too much effort. In fact, if you're not great at drawing and you make it more messy, it will just look more artistic.

I let the design dry down and then I went over it with a high shine top coat to seal in the design and make it look more even.

This is one of the rare summery design that isn't too colorful and it's actually quite wearable. It's also fairly easy to recreate as you don't need to be as precise.

Some lip shades inspire you to create a whole look around them. It happened to me with the Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil in 524 Peony Violet. I have a thing for fuchsia lip shades, even though I don't wear them a lot. Because let's face it, purple is not the most complimentary color for yellow tones in your teeth. But I am still head over hills with this shade and I created a fresh colorful inspired makeup look around it.

My eye makeup is really simple, but looks more fun, because of a duo-chrome shadow that is the star of this look.

First, I always apply eyeshadow primer and a matte bone colored shade to set it. Then I used a light warm matte brown in the crease to define it a bit. I also added a medium more neutral toned matte brown in the outer corners to further define the eye shape. On the lid I applied a shimmery peachy golden shade with light green sheen.

I applied both matte brown shades around the lower lash line, just as I did on the upper lid. For the slight winged liner I chose a brown shade, because it makes the eye look softer and compliments the warm tones.

I applied light gold shimmer shade in the inner corners to brighten it up and make it look fresher. I also applied a few coats of mascara to give my lashes definition and volume.

The finished result is warm, kind of shimmery and also a bit greenish. I love how well brown eyeliner pairs with warm and lighter eyeshadow.

On my face I used a combination of BB cream and foundation. I also concealed imperfections with a concealer and set it with a powder. I used a lot of shimmery bronzer all over the outer parts of the face and also on my apples of the cheeks. In this look I skipped a blush altogether, because the bronzer gives you enough warmth. I also think it looks more modern to apply a vibrant lip color without the blush. For the highlighter I chose a creamy champagne shade that has a lovely glow, but no visible shimmer. It looks more natural, but still gives you an amazing sheen.

Here is the star of this look, a cool toned light fuchsia purple shade.

I love the freshness of this look. Skipping the blush and adding warm bronzer gives you dimension and life. It also looks more modern and the focus is purely on the lips. Eyes compliment the lip color in a complimentary greenish tint shade, but with a wearable warm gold base.

SummerMBeauty 2017 - Beauty Bloggers Meetup

On Friday I went to SummerMBeauty event in Maribor. It was the second year that this event was organized. Last year I had fun meeting Slovenian beauty bloggers, so I was excited to go again. It's not just a meetup, it's also meeting new beauty brands, learning their philosophy behind the product, debating with other successful bloggers and of course meeting some old and new faces. I thought you might be interested in what these kind of events look like. Plus I also have photos of some of the products that we got and I'll probably have a review of a lot of these on my blog as well.

The event was full of beauty enthusiasts and beauty brands. Location called Vetrinjski dvor, was a whimsical backyard with hanging paper flowers and indoor rooms. In the beginning we all got a sniff of Calvin Klein perfumes. We learned about Croatian natural skin and body care brand called Biobaza. Makeup artist Barbara Visket showed us some newest makeup trends from Milano with the help of Nee Makeup. She also advised us on our own beauty concerns, like the shape of the brows, that seems to be one of the most popular concerns these days. How come we only now noticed that the brows are the frames that can make or break the look?! We also learned about Karbonoir, a natural activated charcoal teeth whitening from coconut shells.

In between, we had breaks out in the sun, catching up with each other and sipping on refreshments. I met some new faces in person. It's so fun to meet someone, because usually, you're just commenting on their social media and blogs. Now you can add the voice to those comments. Thank you all for speaking a word or two with me, it was lovely to meet you all.

Our breaks were full of fun drinks, ice cream, pop sickles and instagram worthy looking food. We also had so called beauty market, were we met other beauty brands and people behind them. I found out about some new brands, as well as meet some lovely PR ladies from the brands that I already know.

At the end we also debated about blogging, YouTube and owning your own business with blogger Neja Stoilkovsky, Everly store owner Fiona and YouTuber Lea, better known as Lepa Afna. It was a great positive end to a great day.

I have to thank the organizers of SummerMBeauty for inviting me. You definitely did it again. The locations was perfect, informative debates, good drinks and food and the day was almost too short, which always means I had a lot of fun. Thank you Sindi Kustec, Nina Novak and Ajda Volovšek.

Oh, I almost forgot. We got these cute prints of one of our Instagram photos. Such a lovely souvenir from the event to remember it by.

Review: Catrice ICONails Gel Lacquer (10 Rosywood Hills, 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon)

$

I didn't plan on buying Catrice's new ICONails Gel Lacquers. Usually, their nail polish formula chipped on my nails really fast and it just wasn't worth the price. But when I saw sets of two in the store, I couldn't resist. I also found the prettiest duo that had the perfect nude shade with a mauve brown shade. I'm trying to buy unique shades for my collection, so I wanted to try it out and see for myself if their claims are true.

The sets were designed as a manicure and pedicure shades, but I use them all on both anyway. Apparently the formula is infused with acai oil and has GLOSS SEAL'R technology for a luminous color with a gel shine finish. It should last up to 7 days without top coat.

Glass bottle is designed in a square shape. It has that fancy plastic top that you take off and reveal the applicator underneath it. I guess this is a fancy system that high end brands use. I don't really care for it. In fact, some may think that the nail polish is broken - those that don't "get" the system.

In each is 10.5 ml of product. I believe the price for one is 2.95€ (I bought it in Austria, but I think in Slovenia it's the same price). These sets cost 2.95€ for two shades.

The brush is wider than normal and rounded. I love these rounded brushes, because it makes it so easy to apply nail polish perfectly around the cuticles. I usually just do three swipes with these kind of brushes. My only critic is that one of these brushes was already a bit frayed and it didn't perform as well as it should.

Formula of both is creamy and easy to apply. With lighter shade you need two coats, but with darker shade you could apply just one. Pigmentation is actually really nice

They dry fairly fast and you don't need any top coat. I find that they have a nice shine (not as good as if you apply Seche Vite over it) and they actually last a long time. As I've said many times, I have weak nails and both of these lasted on my nails for about 4 days. Which is a lot for my nails. It's actually categorized as an extraordinary category of nail polishes in terms of long lasting power on my nails. I tried one shade with a Seche Vite top coat over it and it chipped on the second day. So I'm assuming that these perform best without the top coat

Catrice ICONails 10 Rosywood Hills

I got this set because of this shade. It's nothing like I already own and it looked like a perfect mix of warm brown an mauve. Depending on what skin tone you have, it might look more purple mauve based or more warm brown based. Because I have a warm skin tone, it looks more brownish on me. This is essentially a perfect every day shade for the fall.

You can apply only one thicker coat and it covers the nail entirely.

Left: one coat, Right: two coats

Catrice ICONails 38 Honeymoon Is Coming Soon

Lately, I've been loving nude nail polish shades. Especially those that are lighter than my skin tone and have white base to it. This is a true beige nude shade. It has white base, but is warm beige toned. It would probably look amazing on many skin tones. On me it also looks a bit warmer, but I like the fact that it's still very light.

Two coats will cover the nail completely and give you an opaque look.

Left: one coat, Right: two coats

I am in love with both shades. Nude is one of those flattering nude shades for light skin tones. It would also look nice against tanned skin. Browny mauve shade is the perfect combination of colors for the fall, if you wan't something a bit different, but still very wearable.

The formula is nicely pigmented, applies evenly, dries fairly fast and has a good amount of shine. I absolutely love the fact that it's in fact long lasting. Those of you that have strong and healthy nails could easily wear it for 7 days without chipping. I can safely say that I am positively surprised by Catrice. If other shades perform as well as these two, they have a drugstore winner at an affordable price.

You can see the swatches of all the shades on Innen Aussen.

Other fellow Slovenian bloggers also reviewed a few shades:

Review: Colourpop Super Shock Shadow (Coconut, Kathleenlights) and Pressed Shadow (Issues, I Owe You)

$

When Colourpop had free international shipping, Slovenian beauty bloggers went for it, me including. Let's face it, their products are fairly cheap for what you get and the shipping costs almost as much as products, so we all took advantage of free shipping. Although I had to pay our customs, but more about that at the end. I also got three lip products, but I decided to review them separately. Otherwise this post would be too long.

Colourpop recently came out with pressed shadows and I wanted to try some. The quality of Super Shock shadows is amazing and I expected these to be just as good. They come in a paper packaging with silver details. Each shadow is pressed into a metal pan and protected with a transparent plastic. I find it weird that they don't sell empty eyeshadow palettes - well they have some every once in a while. If you don't own magnetic palette, I don't see where you would store these.

In each is 1.5 grams of product and the regular price is 5$. When I bought them they had an offer that, if you buy three eyeshadows, each costs only 3.33$.

I chose two peachy shades, because I felt like I was missing these kind of transitional shades in my collection. And to be honest that peachy trend speaks to me. I also had in my mind that the mattes are somehow better, so I avoided shimmery shades. Now I'm curious to try some of those as well. I chose the shades Issues and I Owe You.

Colourpop Pressed Shadow - Issues

Issues is described as a matte pastel peach. It has a lot of white base to it, so it's actually really light. Perfect for fair skin tones that want a nice warm peachy shade as a transitional shade or to blend out the other shades with.

The pigmentation is amazing for such a light color. You need one swipe to get full opacity.

Colourpop Pressed Shadow - I Owe You

I Owe You is describes as a matte mid-tone orange. When you swatch it, it looks like a dirty medium orange. It has that obvious brown undertone to it, but on the lid this actually looks a lot more orange than it swatches. It's still a muddy version of the orange. This could be a great warm crease shade or used all over the lid.

Pigmentation is also amazing with this shade. One swipe and you're good to go.

On the left photo you can see how Issues looks like on my NC15 skin tone. On the right photo I added I Owe You on the lid.

I actually really like both shades. Issues looked a bit intimidating with a strong white base, but it's a perfect shade for blending out other warmer shades. I Owe You is great for warming up the crease or for that trendy peachy look all over the lid.

Texture of both shadows is very soft to the touch. They seem a bit crumbly, but there's actually no fallout once you pick it up with a brush. Well maybe tap the brush off, which I always do anyway. Shadows are not too wet nor dry feeling. Something in between.

They blend with such ease and they don't loose intensity through the day. Those are definitely some very long lasting eyeshadows. In fact they almost look the same when I apply them as they do when I take them off. They also don't crease, but I always use a primer underneath, because I never wear any eyeshadows without a primer.

Lips: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Athens

I also purchased two Super Shock shadows. In my first Colourpop order I bought two shades (Moonwalk and Game Face) and I was so impressed by the creamy formula, that I knew, I wanted more shades. Unfortunately some that I wanted, were sold out (ironically, right after the free shipping was over they decided to bring On The Rocks back - just my luck!). I chose Kathleenlights and Coconut.

Super shock shadows come in a paper box as well. They are packaged in a round white plastic pot with a transparent lid. Makes it easier to find the right shade. I advise you to close them well, because they will dry out eventually and loose their amazingly creamy formula.

In each is 2.1 grams of product. The regular price of each shadow is 5$.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow - Coconut

Coconut is described as bright teal. To me teal looks like a more green based shade, but Coconut looks like a medium cobalt blue. However, once I apply it on the lid, it does have a bit of that medium greenish tint to it. It has blue shimmer in it too. Colourpop describes the finish as satin. Shimmer in it actually makes it look almost metallic, but it's a sheerer formula that you have to build up to make it look really opaque. It's not a problem though, two or three swipes and it's crazy bright.

Pigmentation is good, but as I said it's a slightly sheerer finish than their ultra metallics.

Blue stains a bit, so keep that in mind. Blue pigments usually do that. It happens to me with most blue nail polishes too.

Texture is that ultra smooth creamy feeling under the fingers and it applies with such ease. But once it comes in touch with skin, it turns into a powder looking shadow that doesn't move. There is absolutely no fallout with these super shock shadows.

Once it's on the lid, it doesn't move. This is very long lasting. Think in terms of all day.

I fell in love with this shades as soon as I saw it. I don't wear as bright shades as often, but this blue just spoke to me. It's probably my favorite kind of blue and it looks so pretty with brown eyes. It's that perfect vibrant blue that doesn't look cool nor warm and it doesn't look too much, if you know how to wear it. I paired it with some matte browns in the crease.

Lips: Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Weho and Colourpop Lippie Stix in Toy

Because I probably won't wear this shade on a daily, I also tried to use it as an eyeliner and it works just as good. That's a way of multi using those bright shades.  I used it with Kathleenlights.

Lips: ItStyle Matte Lip Pencil in 12

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow - Kathleenlights

Kathleenlights is described as bright golden copper. It's definitely that. Not quite gold, but also not a proper copper. It has an extreme shine to it, which makes it look metallic. If you ask me, this is again one of my favorite shades of all time. I love gold and I love copper and this is a mixture of both. Colourpop says that this is a satin finish, but to me this looks like their ultra metallic Game Face shadow. It has that bright sheen to it and looks like a molten metal. In fact it seems even shinier than Game Face.

Pigmentation is crazy good. One swipe and it has fully covered the skin.

Texture is again that ultra smooth cream and on the lid it turns powdery. No fallout

It's again extremely long lasting and doesn't loose the vibrancy through the day. It also doesn't move at all.

It's a great addition to my Game Face. That one is a more bronzed darker shade, while Kathleenlights is that perfect lighter shade for all over the lid. It would suit many skin tones. I love how shiny it looks on the lids and it's going to be the perfect no fuss summer shade. I paired it with matte brown shades in the crease.

Lips: Kiko Smart Fusion Lip Pencil in 513 Red Papaya

I also did a look with Issues, I Owe You and Kathleenlights.

Lips: Vipera Lip Gloss in 211 Dilectio

Here are comparison swatches for Kathleenlights. I don't have anything similar to other shades, so I have nothing to compare them too.

As you can see Colourpop in Game Face is a bronzed shade, more true copper toned. Kathleenlights is a lot more golden compared to it and lighter in shade. I also swatched next to it Zoeva Cocoa Blend shade Pure Ganache which has a hint more of that peachy base to it. It's not as gold looking, already leans to copper tones. Next to it it's Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar in shade Caramel which also looks very similar to Kathleenlights. This one however is a bit more yellow toned. Like a mustard yellow and is not as true to the gold shade as Kathleenlights. So I guess I have no proper dupes, which is a good thing.

Here are the swatches of all the shades.

I believe that I actually chose well this time as well. I like all the shades. I'll probably use Issues and I Owe You more in the warmer months. But they go with most of my warm makeup looks. Coconut is one of those unique shades that won't be in use on a daily, but it's a stunner that I'm happy to have in my collection. Kathleenlights is one of those classics that I can see myself using with many different looks all year around.

Both matte pressed shadows as well as super shock shadows have amazing formula, amazing pigmentation, apply like a dream, blend well and are long lasting. If there's one thing that I would definitely buy again from Colourpop, it would be their eyeshadows. I already have my eye on many more shades. If you're hesitating weather or not they're worth it, they definitely are.

You can buy all of the products on Colourpop.

Look out for my second part of Colourpop reviews. It's going to be about three lip products.

Onto the problem that I had with our "lovely" customs. It was actually Colourpop's fault. They wrote incorrect value of the package on the box. The value was higher than I actually paid for it. Which is utterly stupid and had consequences. Customs decided to open it up, because the value was high enough for them to research and fortunately, they only charged me for the customs process and they actually took into consideration my bill that was lower. Still, it was a waste of my money for nothing. And it happened to many other Slovenian bloggers as well. That put me off from buying from them for a while. But then again, they probably won't have free internationals shipping in a while and by then I'll probably forget about this incident.

Review: Colourpop - Lippie Stix Toy, Ultra Glossy Lip Weho and Ultra Satin Lip Frick N' Frack

Here is my second part of Colourpop products that I tried out. This part is about my three new lip products. Because Colourpop is a new brand to me, I wanted to try two different products. One was the Ultra Glossy Lip and one was Lippie Stix. I actually planned on only getting the glossy lip, but after hearing so many good reviews about lippie stix, I also chose one of these. The Ultra Satin Lip was a mini gift with the repurchase for ordering over 15$ I think (could have been 20$).

Colourpop Lippie Stix in Toy

I ordered Lippie Stix in a separate order, because I was just curious to try one and see what all the fuss was about. Apparently these are very popular. Because I have so many lipsticks, I struggled to find the shade that I don't already own. So I decided on something ultra nude and light. It might have been a mistake.

Lippie Stix come in a pen likewhite plastic packaging and a paper box.

I got Lippie Stix in shade Toy, which I hear is being discontinued now. In it is 1 gram of product and the price is 5$. Currently it's on offer for 4$. Now that I think about it, you get 1 gram of product for roughly 5€. For the same price you can get pretty much amazing lipsticks from other brands for more product. Like Avon, that has 3.6 grams in it. (No, I'm not sponsored by Avon, I just really like their lip products.) Just thinking out loud here.

I like the slim pen shape of it, as it makes it really easy to apply on the lips and it's precise.

Toy is described as a light peachy nude. It's definitely a warm nude shade with peach undertone. It's really light and the base seems to be very pigmented, which can make it look a bit chalky - because of the strong white base. I have about NC15 skin tone (now I'm probably getting a bit darker already) and this is definitely one of those extra nude shades on me. I'm uncertain if it suits me or not. It's one of the lightest lip products I own and it can look a bit "dead" with inappropriate makeup. I think it needs to be worn with the right makeup to work on me.

Colourpop says that this is a creme finish. It has that creamy finish with a bit of shine  to it.

Formula is very creamy. I broke off the tip, that's how creamy it is. It glides on like a dream and has crazy pigmentation. I never thought I would say this, but it's almost a bit too pigmented for my liking. One swipe and you don't need to go over it. Because it's such a light shade, it looks a bit chalky on my skin tone.

It's very comfortable to wear. I don't feel it heavy on the lips, it's not sticky and it stays put well for such a creamy formula. Although I would be afraid to wear this formula in a very dark shade. I have a feeling it might go everywhere. It's also not drying or anything like that.

Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip in Weho

I got lost among huge range of ultra satin and ultra matte lips, so I just opted for an ultra glossy lip. Yeah, that's how my mind works. Weho was one of those shades that I liked immediately when I saw description, so I got it.

Ultra Glossy Lips come in transparent lip gloss packaging with a silver top. It also comes with a paper box.

In it is 2.4 grams of product and the price is 6$.

It has that doe foot applicator, which is actually smaller than most lip products have. I don't mind that. It actually fits better on my lips and makes it easier to apply the lips product more accurately. With one swipe of the applicator you can cover your entire lips.

Weho is described as a creamy beige. To me this is that perfect nude, but kind of darker shade. It has caramel shade to it. A bit of that yellow undertone to the nude brown base. It's a bit darker than my natural lip color and in general I love these warm browns.

Formula of it is creamy and looks thicker, but doesn't feel this way on the lips. Weho is their creme finish and to me this is a liquid lipstick with shine. It's not a lip gloss, because it has amazing pigmentation and you can't really apply it sheer. It definitely covers your lips.

It has comfortable feel on the lips. I would say it's a bit stickier than Toy, but definitely not sticky by a definition. It tends to separate a bit on the actual lips. So it may look sheerer over smile lines and sort of look thicker and opaque on those smooth parts of the lips. But than again, it's kind of normal for a glossy product. This is not a regular lipstick and the glossy formula does moves a bit. Because of fairly light shade it's not noticeable, unless you come really close to the lips. It's one of those ultra comfy formulas to wear when you feel like you're lips are a bit dry.

It lasts a fairy good amount for such a glossy lip with shine. Through the day it dries and looses a bit of that creaminess, but it never looks uneven. Of course you will need to reapply it.

Ultra Satin Lip in Frick N' Frack

Ultra Satin Lip was a gift with purchase and I could choose among a few shades. I chose Frick N' Frack, because it looked most my kind of shade.

This is a mini size, so keep in mind that original is larger. As large as the Weho. This one also comes in transparent tube with silver top.

In original size it's 3.2 grams of product and the price is 6$. In mini size it's 0.64 grams of product.

I'm assuming that the doe foot applicator is smaller in this mini size. Because it's smaller than the one in Weho. But it works fine and applies product evenly.

Frick N' Frack is described as a rosy terracotta. On me it looks like a warm brown base with hints of red and mauve in it. It's hard to describe, but think in terms of brown, mauve and red all in one. On me this is definitely a dark shade, but it would be suitable for dark skin tones as well, although on these it would be more of a nude.

It has smooth, lighter feeling formula that glides on the lips like a dream. Pigmentation is again crazy. One swipe and you don't need to go over it at all. I also feel like it glides well over any small dry patches, which is a plus.

It goes on like a very sticky cream that isn't completely matte, but has just a bit of sheen to it. Which means it's actually the stickiest lip product out of all of these that I tried. If you stick you're lips together it definitely feels sticky, but it's not as bad that you wouldn't be able to separate upper and lower lip. That being said, even if you stick your lips together, it doesn't move the color. After a while it becomes matter looking.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this formula, because I hear that ultra matte lips are very drying and matte on the lips. So I wasn't sure if ultra satin lip would also feel drying. I'm glad to report that I don't find this particular shade drying at all. I expected to have a tight feeling on the lips, but it actually wears fairly comfortable. It's probably due to a creamy and slightly sheeny formula. Of course, if you're lips are dry, these will not feel moisturizing as the day goes on. I find that liquid mate lipsticks are in general not for those that have problems with often dry lips.

It's very long lasting. Once it's on the lips it doesn't move at all and it can even survive eating. But it transfers on glasses and it's not kiss proof.

Here are some comparison swatches.

I actually don't have anything similar to Toy. Avon True Colour Perfectly Matte in Perfectly Nude is even lighter than Toy. The shade is not similar, because this one is like a very light white based peach. Toy compared to it looks more pinky peach shade. I also swatched MAC High Tea next to it, because it has similar lightness, it's a lot sheerer and more of a peachy brown shade.

Weho looks similar to ItStyle Lipgloss in shade 10. 10 is sheerer and lighter. It also has even more of that yellow tone in the brown. Weho looks more peachy next to 10. I also swatched Essence Liquid Lipstick in 03 Almost Real, because they have that similar texture and feel. Although the shade is more like a pinky peach and a lot lighter.

Frick N' Frack is very similar to Make Up Factory Mat Lip Fluid in 61 Velvet Rosewood. Velvet Rosewood is a more mauve shade and slightly lighter, while Frick N' Frack has more of that redish brown to it. I also swatched next to it Avon Mark Plump It in Choco Latte. It's actually a lot lighter, but has that same warm brown tone to it and a bit of copperish red in it. Avon Mark Plump It in shade Truffle has that similar redish brown tone to it, although it lacks that mauve tint to it, to be similar.

And swatches of all the products that I got from Colourpop.

Lippie Stix didn't impress me as much. I like the pigmentation, but creme finish was almost too pigmented for my liking and really buttery. I would be afraid to wear this finish in a dark color. Maybe I should try other finishes in this stick form. Part of the problem was also the fact that Toy looks almost too nude for me.

I was impressed with Weho. The shade is right up my alley and it has amazing pigmentation as well as ultra comfortable formula for all of us with dry lips. This was definitely a good purchase.

I was also fascinated by the formula of Ultra Satin Lip. It wasn't as drying as I expected it to be, which is great. Pigmentation is again amazing and it holds on the lips well, but doesn't feel too drying. Shade Frick N' Frack is more of a fall shade for my skin tone, that's why I probably won't wear it as much in summer months. I'd love to have a dirty peach, like Screenshots or a nude brown, like Magic Wand in this satin lip formula.

I definitely want to get some more Ultra Satin Lips. As far as I've seen Ultra Glossy Lip shades, I am fine with just having Weho. I wouldn't own this formula in a darker shade. I'm also not as fascinated by Lippie Stix, although I feel that's just due to the weird shade that I chose. I would also love to try other finishes of it, not just the creme.

Review: MuLondon White Chocolate Truffle Moisturizer

I have to say that one of the advantages of being a beauty blogger has to be the fact that I get to try out new products from smaller brands. Those kind of brands that I otherwise wouldn't even know that they exist. In the field of natural beauty products, you can find so many brands that offer amazing products. One of these is definitely MuLondon. I tried out their famous White Chocolate Truffle Moisturizer

I immediately connected with the owner Boris as I felt like his story was close to mine. He had problems with eczema and psoriasis. I also had skin allergies since I was 4 years old and recently I also developed eczema on my hands. There are worse things in the world and I shouldn't complain about such little problems, but it does get annoying. That's why you'll notice my hands are usually very dry in my nail polish photos. I tend to use oils on the skin to make it look more attractive.

Anyway, each brand has a story and I could relate to this one. With skin allergies you usually notice that less is more. That's also the brand's philosophy of MuLondon. Their products are made out of pure, natural and (where possible) certified organic ingredients. Basically, you'll find no artificial ingredients in them. Just natural oils and herbs. They also don't use animal products and don't test on animals

You can read more about the brand here

Moisturizer comes in a heavy glass pot with a white plastic top. The design is simple and clean and the packaging is secure. In the pot is 60 ml of product and it costs 24€. You can buy it here

The ingredients list is very clean, mostly there are just butters, oils and some plant extracts

This moisturizer is for dry, dull and tired skin in need of pampering. It's 99% organic, water free formula and has extracts of cocoa and vanilla

It's basically a multi-purpose moisturizer that you can apply on any part of the skin.

The texture of it is like a hardened beige butter. Makes sense, since it's mostly made out of butters.

You have to scoop it out of the pot, but it's not too hard to the touch. Once it gets in contact with the skin, the warmth of it makes it melt into what feels like an oil. It's actually quite lightweight for such a formula. Usually natural oils feel very heavy on the skin. On the skin it leaves an oily and greasy finish that will soak into the skin, if you're skin is really dry. Otherwise, expect the super glowy and oily look.

It's advised to be used as a protective day cream or super moisturizing night cream. I use it as the night cream. Every other day I use it in the step where I would usually use oils. So I apply toner, treatments, lightweight moisturizer and then apply this over it as another ultra nourishing layer.

On days when my skin looks good, I use it right after the toner. With these kind of products you can really go at your own pace. It can be enough on it's own, if you're skin is fairly normal. If you're skin is dry, I would recommend using it in conjunction with other moisturizing products like hyaluronic acid serums, hydrating toners and such. I feel like oils work best as that last protective layer on the skin that seals in all other ingredients

This combination of butters and oils makes my skin really nourished, plump looking and super soft

I also use this on dry parts of my body, like elbows and knees. It also works great as a hand moisturizer before going to sleep or just making your cuticles appear nicer

You need to use the smallest amount possible, because this is very nourishing and easy to spread onto he face once you melt it between your fingers. It's safe to say that I could use this for a year and there would still be some left. Considering that I mostly use it only on my face.

Let's talk about the scent which is ah-mazing. It truly smells like a proper white chocolate. I can smell proper bourbon vanilla seeds mixed with cocoa butter. There's also a hint of that herbalness with the rosemary extract, but the white chocolate scent prevails. It's truly a joy to apply on the face and even my boyfriend liked the fact that I smell like chocolate. He hates herbal natural skin care scents.

Oh, if you're on a diet, you might want to avoid it. Because it gives you some serious chocolate cravings.

I got a lovely personal message with the product, which always makes me happy. It just means that someone put an extra effort to make you feel special.

As you probably figured it out already, I love it. It smells amazing, has very natural ingredients, feels really nourishing on the skin and is easy to use. I almost treat this as an oil in my skin care routine, but if you're skin is fairly normal, it could work as a heavier protective moisturizer. It' just one of those products that you can really use on so many different parts. I think you'll love this, if you're searching for something heavier, nourishing, natural and that smells great without any added artificial perfumes.

MuLondon also offers moisturizers for different skin concerns, like anti aging and problematic skin. They also have cleansers for different types of skin.

Other Slovenian beauty bloggers also raved about this cream and you can read their thoughts here:
