Hey Beauties!

I was planning on getting gold liquid liner from Treasure Trove Catrice's Limited Edition and I did. But when I was in the store, I was interested in the golden powder. No wonder here, whenever I see something shiny for the face, I jump at it. I still didn't quit figure it out, if I like it or not.

Golden Powder in the shade C01 Golden Grace comes in a classic transparent plastic packaging. It makes it easy to see the product. It also closes really securely. It has gold writing. The price for it is 4.69€ and you get 9.18 grams of product.

It has a pretty star embossed design. The shade looks like a mixture of champagne and silver pink in the pot, but it's actually a bit more peachy champagne on the skin. It has small shimmer in it, which makes it pretty shiny. The shimmer is small enough, but you can detect it here and there because of its multi color shine.

When I saw it in the store, it somehow reminded me of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. The shades look very similar, although I don't have Becca, so I can't make a comparison.

It has that pretty peach champagne shade, which is kind of mind boggling. It's a bit too dark on my skin to be used as a highlighter and too light to be used as a bronzer. My guess is that this was intended that way. It's probably meant to be an all over golden powder which you can apply on cheeks, decolletage and body.

If I apply it lightly it can pass as a highlighter, although it definitely gives me  a bit sun kissed look, because of the peachy undertone and darker shade. It works great as a highlighter, blush and bronzer all in one. You can apply it over all those areas to get shiny a bit sun kissed skin. I usually apply it lightly on tops of my cheeks and blend it over my blush. I also use it in other places as I would use highlighter, but it makes for a warmer and slightly bronzed like skin.

For medium skin tones, especially olive skin tones, this would be great shade for highlighter. For super pale people (even paler than me, if that is possible) this could be a very light warm shiny addition to your bronzer. You can also use it as a blush or over it to make it more glowy.

Texture of it is almost a bit wet or cream like, so it's really nice to apply it on the skin.

I compared the shade to some of my other highlighters and I have no dupes. It really is the darkest and most pink to peach toned highlighter in my collection. All of the others have lighter shade or are more golden.

Catrice Treasure Trove Liquid Liner in C01 Golden Grace comes in a white plastic packaging with metallic gold top and writing. It costs 3.29€ and in it is 3.5 ml of product.

Applicator is thin brush. This is good, because it moves with you and you can lay it diagonal to your eyes and it makes for an easy application. However, the more pressure you put on it, the wider line you'll get. Which is a bit of a down side, if you want to create super thin line, because it means you have to have a very steady hand to put less pressure on it.

The shade is like a very true yellow toned gold. Finish is metallic. In it you can see small shimmer and it really reflects the light and instantly brightens up your eye makeup. Once it dries it doesn't move, unless you sweat a lot or have very greasy lids.

As you know I am a real fan of gold and I love metallic colored liquid liners, because they can add a bit of glam and sparkle to any makeup look. This is especially pretty for this time of year. I applied it over my usual black liner.

I am still undecided on the golden powder. I like the fact that the shade is something new in my highlighter collection, but it's a bit too dark for me now. I hope I can use it more in the summer and I'll still be using it over blush and lightly on my cheeks. It would be a great shade for darker skin tones. I love the gold liquid liner, because I can make colorful shiny season appropriate eye makeup looks and gold is really my kind of color. I also think the metallic finish is great for waking up the eyes and giving them some sparkle. I will need to make it work because of the brush, it challenges my trying-to-get-the-perfect-line-liner technique.
