I think one of my first Avon products was one of their Planet Spa masks. Their Planet Spa range has been around since I remember. Every now and then they come out with new scents, but some have been staple in the collection for years. Their latest collection is called The Ayurveda Ritual and I tested face mask and multi-oil.

The Ayurveda Ritual Soothe & Balance Face Mask

Packaging

Design of this collection is yellow with gold details. It comes in a tube with small opening. In it is 50 ml of product and it usually costs around 7€.

Formula

In it is turmeric root for restoring balance and coconut milk for hydration and soothing effect. It's your basic clay based mask that has a very turmeric yellow color to it. It's thicker, but still soft enough that you can spread it over the face without any problems.

There is an oriental scent to it, which is sort of spicy and creamy in a way.

Performance

As with any clay masks, this one dries down to a dry clay finish. There was no irritation on the skin which I was afraid of because of turmeric. With clay masks I never get an overwhelming effect. It's just a nice mask for applying on your skin when you want something pampering. It feels sort of soothing and the skin looks a bit brighter when I remove it, although it won't unclog your pores unless you use some sort of a steamer on it to open them up at first.

The Ayurveda Ritual Multi-Use Oil

Packaging

It comes in a yellow tinted transparent plastic bottle with gold plastic top. There is a small hole opening which doesn't spill the product. In it is 150 ml of product and it usually costs around 7€.

Formula

It's one of those almost drier oils, because it feels oily, but it's very lightweight on the skin. It's made of mainly sesame and some sunflower and corn oil. Turmeric and coconut are just extracts in it, probably for the scent.

This one also has that oriental spicy and creamy scent, but I find this one so much better than in a mask, because it's more creamy. I'm not big on scents, but this one is so appealing to me. I guess it's my love of oriental fragrances.

Performance

It applies smooth, there is a good glide to it. Obviously it will leave oily finish on your skin, but it's very lightweight feeling. It sinks in fairy fast and feels nourishing on the skin. As with most oils, my skin feels softer when I use it and it doesn't look as dry

The scent of Ayurveda Ritual collection has to be my favorite scent from Planet Spa range, right next to the Herbal Steam Bath scent. It has that oriental vibe to it. I like most clay Avon masks and this one is nice too. It actually feels more nourishing than some others they have. I don't notice a major difference with using it, but it's more of a pamper thing to me. Oil is great. The scent makes it so much more enjoyable and I like that it doesn't feel heavy and makes the skin nourished. I use it only on my body, because of the fragrance and it's too thick for my thin hair.
